The cold breeze ripped through his robes chilling him to the bone. "Damn it is cold of here, how do you nords survive?" He asked his guide. "Our blood runs hot, it is what has kept all of the nords alive in skyrim." "By the way...... I never asked you... What is a Dark elf like you doing in skyrim?" "Isn't it obvious?" " I have no home to return to." "This land has a harsh beauty that reminds me so much of my homeland. But this land of unfamiliar faces and a people that are not my own saddens me greatly." His nord guide smiled and said " while many nords do not like elves.... Those who work hard and work for the people of skyrim will always be able to feel at home. In time I believe you will find skyrim is your home as well."

Basically this is a dunmer refugee from morrowind who is a user of magic. He is not corrupt or pure he is a grey area character. He won't become a vampire or anything like that.

After one other fellow and I escaped to a nearby town he asked me join the rebellion of the storm cloaks felling betrayed there was no doubt that this was the right thing to do. The Story of Hlodvir Iceclaw, Nord Warrior of Skyrim. Dragonborn.

Hlodvir shouldered his pack up higher on his back allowing his free hand to fall back to the hilt of his Sword. The metal, although cold to his touch sent a glow of warmth and reassurance through the Nord. He had not had to draw the blade in three days and even the last time had been no great battle. A minor run in with a thief who was far to sure of himself to note the hardened warriors knotted muscles and beaten, yet sturdy, steel breastplate. The fight had gone exactly as Hlodvir knew it would, the thief coming in low, the glint of a steel dagger flashing in the sun, racing up to snatch out his throat. Hlodvir parried the dagger with his own blade and with his left arm brought his shield swinging round in a lethal arc crunching into the thiefs neck. The thief staggered backward, choking and spitting blood. Fear took over as he realised his costly mistake and a warm trickle spread down his leather greaves. Hlodvir tossed his shield to the floor, roared a battle cry to Talos and in one giant leap closed the distance, grabbed the thief by his jerkin and slid his own blade up through the bottom of the thiefs mouth. The thiefs eyes flashed in pain and then greyed as his spirit left his body. Warm blood spurted from the wound, running down the blade and coating Hldovirs hand. He buried the body swiftly. Although the thief had tried to rob him, a Nord was nothing without his honor.

At last Hlodvir could see the high peaks of his homeland above the trees, the scent of pine sap filling his nostrils. He smiled. He was finally home.

Making his way down through the trees, Hlodvir began to realise something was wrong. Normally these woods would be filled with bird song but today there was none. He slowly begun to unsheathe his blade. A tree next to him exploded as an arrow thudded into the bark, quivering.

"I wouldn't do that if i were you Stormcloak dog" a voice called out
Hlodvir noted the heavy Imperial accent.

"I'm no stormcloak, just an honest warrior returning home" he called back

"You can tell that to the headsman" came the reply

Hlodvir considered his options, if he drew his sword and dropped he might be able to avoid an initial arrow and get into a more defenceable position, but even as he pondered this he noted several archers all armored in the standard leather of the Imperial Legion rising from the foliage around him. This was not a fight he could win.

"Im disarming" he called out to the nearest archer.

Slowly removing his sword and throwing it into a nearby fern Hlodvir raised his hands.

The archers moved in slowly keeping a wary bead on him with there bows. The voice from before sounded behind him, closer now.

"Damn Stormcloaks, It's like a bunch of savages against us properly trained soldiers"

Hlodvir tried to protest again but was silenced as the voice from behind brought a leather club down on his skull.

The Archers relaxed as one moved to the unconcious Nord and bound his hands with a strip of leather.

"Get him in the wagon with the rest of them, the headsman's waiting" said the leader motioning a hand to his soldiers.

Basically a Nord Warrior, planning on doing the main quest line as in Hlodvirs eyes the dragons are a major threat and need to be stopped, will be tying the civil war into this such as once I reach the greybeards, them telling me to resolve the civil war as we will need the help of one of the sides. Both cannot help due to the risk of infighting. No plan on doing mage/db/thiefs story missions as Hlodvir prefers cold steel to magic and is far to honorable for db and thiefs.

Name: Skaoi Ash-Wreath (the first name has an unusual letter but can't use it)
Race: Breton/Nord (Haven't decided and for back story, that's the heritage)
Class: Shaman-Warrior
Skills: Two-Handed, Conjuration (no dead thralls), Restoration, Heavy Armour, Block, Blacksmithing, and Destruction(?)

I was going for the character to be from Solstheim because I was interested in how the Skall worshipped nature and they were slightly different to Skyrim Nords. Since I was stuck on what race to pick: Breton (for the magic/conjuration boosts) or Nord (the first choice for roleplay reasons but would have to build up the magic skills) I decided to give Skaoi a Breton mother and Nord Father.
I have read up on the Skaal and nothing suggests that they haven't disappeared in Skyrim's age so I liked the angle of Skaoi's Father being a Skaal where her mother was a spellsword adventurer who came to Solstheim for fame/fortune.

After spending her youth in Solstheim, Skaoi travelled to venture out to seek new challenges.

I'm still trying to decided on what path to take with Imperial/Stormcloaks, on one side with being around the Dunmer on Solstheim (after the Red Year) I think she would not like Ulfric's attitude towards them and of course the religion differences. People from Solstheim won't be too keen on Imperials either.

The skills need working on and I'm still stuck on the race issue.

Character Name: Bunny (yeah, I'm uncreative with names)
Gender: Female
Race: Imperial
Class: Battlemage
Level 79 last I played her
Stone: The Steed
Guilds: Harbinger of the Companions, Arch Mage of College of Winterhold, Bard, Master of Thieves Guild, Listener of Dark Brotherhood, Thane of all Holds, Ex Ally of the Blades, member of the Dawnguard.

Perks:
Spoiler:
One Handed; Armsman 2 points, Dual Fury 1 point, dual savagery, fighting stance, savage strike
Heavy Armor; Juggernaut 3 points, Well Fitted, Tower of Strength, Matching Set, Reflect Blows
Smithing; Steel Smithing, Arcane Smithing, Dwarven Smithing, Orcish Smithing, Ebony Smithing, Daedric Smithing, Dragon Armor
Destruction; Novice-Master, Dual Casting, Impact, Augmenting Flames 2, Augmented Frost 2, Augmented Shock 2
Conjuration; Novice-Master, Summoner 1 point, Atromancy, Elemental Potency, Twin Souls
Alteration; Novice-Expert, Atronach
Restoration; Novice-Adept, Respite, Recovery 2 points, Regeneration, Dual Casting
Illusion; Novice, Animage, Kindred Mage, Quiet Caster, Hynotic Gaze, Aspect of Terror, Rage, Master of the Mind
Enchanting; Enchanter 5 points, Insightful Enchanter, Corpus Enchanter, Extra Effect
Pickpocketing; Light Finger 1 point, Night Thief, Extra Pockets
Speech; Haggling 1 point

Typically, Bunny will conjurer a pair of thralls before a fight, dual wield spells at range, and switch to a sword in her right hand and a mace in her left at melee range. Went through a difficult period with her between levels 15 and 25 where the game got almost impossible to play if I ran into anything tougher than basic bandits. Enemy mages were a nightmare. But once her powers started to really take off, she became an unstoppable juggernaut. Weapons and Armor are all made of Dragonbones. She's not stealthy, needs Illusion magic to compensate for that on Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood missions. But then, enemies knowing she's coming just tells them how very screwed that they are.

There are a few perk points I have yet to spend. Will probably finish off One Handed with them. And a few I regret, like I wish I hadn't gotten Restoration Dual Casting, Haggling (took it before I'd figured out the better ways to make money), and maybe a couple less in Juggernaut. Bunny was my first character, so I was bound to make a few mistakes. Live and learn.

Name: Xul 'U Bal
Race: Argonian
Style: Various

Story: It had been over 186 years since he had lost his title of Champion of Cyrodiil for his mass slaughter of both Anvil and Chorrol and exiled for his crimes. Throughout this time he had been presumed dead from old age and that presumption was right, Xul 'U Bal's body had decayed and failed, but his spirit lived on to possess other argonians so he could still feed on the power of the dead. It was a year before while he was in the Black Marshes that he had felt a sudden stir in the wind and felt an old presence of power growing in the north, in Skryim. It was then that he had possessed the body of a young and strong argonian and headed towards the land of the Nords in search of this power, so he could be the master to harness and use it against the people of Tamriel.

I first had this on PC and made a stealth archer. It was fun but decided to try something different this time around. This guy isn't subtle at all. Just smash!

Welp, here goes nothing :>

Name: Alrek Allard
Race: Breton
Standing stones sign: Mage
Style: Battlemage
Top skills: Destruction, Conjuration, One-handed (in that order)

Alrek was born into nobility back in Daggerfall, more so to a family renowned for its magical prowess. Alrek had always wanted to better his skills, and his family pressuring him to find a place of study seemed like a convenient enough excuse to get himself away from feuding lords in his native High Rock.

His family had originally wanted to send him off to the College of Whispers in Cyrodiil, but Alrek had insisted on the College of Winterhold in Skyrim. Partly for its sole focus on studies in magic, and partly for its physical isolation away from the rest of the world. He's currently under Faralda and Phinis' tutelage in their respective schools of magic.

My latest character-
Name: Ylbern Viralaine
Race: Breton
Class: Wandering Bard
Skills: One Handed, Illusion, Speech, Archery, Sneak, Alteration
Play Style: Usually an arrow from afar, or a frenzy spell, before smacking his opponent in the face. Not afraid to run away from a fight though (I am using him for the DiD thread, he won't attack unless he is in danger)
Back Story (Not really fleshed out yet but here is a start):Born and breed in Farrun, Ylbern's early life was for the most part uneventful. Always a keen student of music, and with a sense of adventure that couldn't been contained, he departed from his homeland at the age of 23, running away during the night. And so his tale begins... **insert epic music here**

My latest character-

Name: Lurtz
Race: Orc
Class: Warrior
Skills: Two Handed, Smithing,
Play Style: Always on the front line, Rallying the troops. Standing victorious over any vanquished Foes.

Back Story: Born into a Broken family, Lurtz left home at an early age and was forced to survive in the wastes of Tamriel by himself. Constant betrayal has caused his heart to blacken and although he has stood by many in the past he has never allowed anyone to hinder him and will always look after himself above all else.

Current Character

Name: Hunter
Race: Nord
Fighting Style: Lightly armored spell-sword
Age: 35
Appearance: 6'3", 210lbs., extremely short brown hair (almost bald), battle scar diagonaly across his left eye which has rendered that eye blind, very muscular, hazel right eye (his left one is white do to blindness), epic goatee.
Bio: Hunter was a recently promoted Imperial Legion Centurion that was thought to be K.I.A. while on a seek and destroy mission in The West Weald. Having been thought to be dead and not being looked for Hunter abandoned his Legion armor and started again as a merc that would do any thing from assassination to escorting trade caravans. While on hi latest mission of delivering a parcel to Whiterun he meet Ulfric Stormcloak, not knowing of the rebellion in Skyrim Hunter traveled with Ulfic and his band untill they had to go their separate ways. Once I've finished building my house an located a steward it will be time to retire Swiftklaw. He has done all his great deeds and is now going to get fat on the multimedia rights to his story. This however means I need a new character. I'm thinking that I'm going to role play as nut job and use the childs doll as a controlling influence, my plans are fairly vague at the moment.

That didn't quite work as planned it got far to complex when I started to use a D8 role to determine a course of action. In the end I gave up and started a new character.

Rima Stormborn
Nord Female
Warrior/Thief - One handed and bows, light armour, no magic
Level 21

Rima ran away from the orpanage in Riften to escape from Grelod after a particularly savage beating and see the world. She has returned to Skyrim to seek some record of her family and give Grelod a suprise gift for the brand she left on Rima's check.

Erai Suithon, The Wight Lord/Prince/King

Skills: Conjuration, Archery, Sneak, One Handed, Illusion. Main focus is on Bound weapons and some turning undead spells.

He starts out as just an unexceptional Breton directly from Highrock, he has little to no memory of it though knowing only that he was running from there. Though he discovers he has a knack for the exploration and cleansing of old cursed tombs and eventually even proclaims himself as Lord of all Wights in the sense that they all fall before his will.

I have yet to decide if he will remain good here or turn to darker than arts that reign in the undead that run rampant in Skyrim, eitherway this is the best character I ever made and he will be carried throughout all my elder scrollzing now.

I have an unarmed-only lvl 81 Khajiit right now, but I'm not sure what perks I should get.

Here's my current planned build. I haven't yet committed to all of those perks yet, and you can see that I still have some points left over.

Any useful suggestions?

Funny things started happening on my old Vulom Staadnau (Darkness Unbound) save, so in the event that the save is/becomes corrupt, I started another character with the same basic appearance and build.

Name: Maar "Dur" Staadnau, translating to 'Terror "Curse" Unbound.'
Level: 81
Maar Staadnau, the long lost and estranged sister of Vulom Staadnau, shares many similar traits with her younger sister. They both hold darkness in their hearts and will not hesitate to murder or steal if a good enough reason shows itself. In society, Maar (and Vulom) both act with honor and kindness; they have chosen to become Thanes of several holds and joined the Companions and the College of Winterhold to help hide their darker selves from the public eye. Both are incredibly skilled and can do whatever the situation requires, be it fighting with a Greatsword or a Dagger, or using Magic or Stealth.

While Vulom fled Morrowind during the eruption of the Red Mountain, Maar left just two years before the arrival of the Nerevarine. She wandered Tamriel for the next few hundred years before she was finally captured by an Imperial patrol while trying to cross the Cyrodiil border into Skyrim. She was placed in the same cart as Ulfric Stormcloak (whom she stared at with utter disdain) and taken for execution in Helgen.

Thanks to a rather timely Dragon attack, she escaped and followed her path as Dragonborn. She is well known for consorting with the Daedra, and she joined the Companions, College of Winterhold, Thieves Guild, Dark Brotherhood, the Bards College, the Blades, and the Volkihar Vampires.

And I just realized that "Maar Dur" sounds sort of like "murder" when said.
Nice.

I've got several characters but with each new expansion I've gone back and played my first.
Max Level 51
Nord
Stealth Warrior
Axes, Bows, Destruction Magic and Light Armor.

Max set out to join the Dark Brotherhood after it's destruction in Cyrodil. Arrested with Ulfric Stormcloak crossing the border into Skyrim. Alduin's attack on Helgen lead to his escape. He journeyed through Riverwood meeting his future wife Camilla for whom he murdered all that bandits in Bleak Falls Barrow and returned the Golden Claw to her brother, earning her affection. From Riverwood he was directed to persuade the Jarl of Whiterun to send guards to protect Camilla and her town.

These travels lead to Max killing his first dragon, becoming Thane of Whiterun and meeting his Housecarl Lydia who would accompany him on his journey. It also lead to discovering he had the power of the voice, Max was Dragonborn. Hearing rumors that Ulfric had murdered the High King with his voice he sought out the Greybeards to hone his power.

Upon completed his training with the Greybeards he went to follow up a rumor he heard in Whiterun, that Aventus Aretino was trying to contact the Dark Brotherhood. Upon meeting the Aretino boy he murdered Grelod the Kind for him. It was then Astrid of the Dark Brotherhood contacted Max.

Murder contracts for the Dark Brotherhood sent Max and Lydia all over Skyrim. Along the way he joined the Companions, the College of Winterhold and the Thieves Guild. Max murdered Belethor after he hired thugs to attack him. Max did everything to help the Dark Brotherhood grow, but Astrid was not a good leader. She did not respect the Night Mother or Sithis and she informed a contract, the Emperor of Tamriel, Titus Mede II that he was on his way. The Penitus Oculatus killed all of the Dark Brotherhood except Max, Babette and Nazir.

Max did fulfill the contract, he went back and assassinated Emperor Titus Mede II becoming the new listener for the Dark Brotherhood. He Joined the Circle in the Companions and killed the corrupt leader of the Theives Guild Mercer Frey and became Guild-master and became Arch-mage of the College of Winterhold. All while he rebuilt the Dark Brotherhood.

Max has gained the favor of all the Daedric Princes through his deeds while exploring Skyrim. He then set upon the task of Killing Alduin the World-Eater with only Shadowmere by his side.

Vampires then started attacks in Skyrim. Max met Serana and became a Vampire. Max saw that their leader was power-mad and his court was divided. He then disposed of Lord Harkon and is now the leader of The Volkihar vampire clan of Vampires in Skyrim. His wife Camilla Valerius and their adopted daughter Lucia live in Windstad Manor. He travels Skyrim with Lydia, a new Dark Brotherhood Initiate, Serana and his Death hound Garmr selling death for a price.

Name: Katalina
Race: Nord
She is a young dark haired blue eyed Nord, that just joined the Theives guild and perusing her rights as te Dovahkiin. Honestly got tired of playing housewife to Stenvar and her two spoiled children Alesan and Sofie. She does return home from time to time to play games with her children and visit her Husband, but after a day it's back on the road for her and her horse she got from Markarth. Not yet decided on where she stands in the war, and probably will save it for when she does the main quests apon killing Alduin, with gathering a moot and having the debate there. A bit civilized for a Nord with a growing sinister backroud for becoming involved with the dark brotherhood and thieves guild. Will probably thirst for more hectic adventures and don heavy armor for more bloody and bold questlines.

Leila is my take on a stealthy mage. She's more of a thief than a nightblade, hence no points in Light Armor or One Handed, but quite a few in pickpocket. Often, she'll cast Frenzy spells to make enemies fight one another, put a magical rune between herself and the survivors, and finish them off with a variety of Destruction spells. Between her inherent Breton Resistance to Magic, Agent of Mara and Alteration Perks, she's 70% resistance to magic. Enemy mages are a joke. Melee enemies don't even get close. Archers are a bit of a problem since she doesn't wear much armor, but she can hide behind followers, summons or just disappear with an invisiblity spell.

Leila used to be a werewolf through the Companions, however, beast form just wasn't her thing, and she cured herself. She contracted vampirism shortly their after, and never regreted it once. She found she likes the taste of blood, and enjoys stealing a bit of blood while robbing people with too much money and not enough manners. She jumped on the chance to become a vampire lord. She'd married to Mjoll the Lioness, whom she later turned into a vampire.

I've still got 5 perk points to spend. Thinking of finishing off Light Fingers so I can steal heavy armor off people wearing it. Not sure what to spend the other 2 points on, though. Or all 5 if I don't get the rest of Light Fingers. I thought for a while of putting her in full Daedric Armor, but it kinda ruined her asthetic of being a thief and a mage. Plus, if I did, it would remove all of the game's challenge once archers were no longer a threat. So, robes and hood, with armored boots and gauntlets.
