Okay I am at level 8 and I am getting obliterated by bandit thugs. So far my one complaint is I HATE the new leveling system. I actually enjoyed the system in oblivion because I could control my leveling. You can't do that in skyrim because everything builds to the next level. I'm still getting used to how to play this game, and having a forced leveling system was a bad idea imo. For me Oblivion's system was perfect with the minor and major skills. This one is crap

My character so far has been purely magic based. I'm just kinda working him in to the game and getting a feel for magic. Later, as he starts to embrace his role as the dragonborn, he is going to start taking more of a warrior/battlemage approach. I'd give more of a backstory; however, on my first character usually I just go for a playthrough and take it as it comes and make up stuff from there.

Because you can't manipulate it?

I'm at 11, focusing on a good old-fashioned sword and board fighter type, so one-handed and block are my most developed skills. Oh, and heavy armour.

Assassin/Mage character with a subfocus in Alchemy because I find it so interesting :) I spend most of my time completing quests and discovering old ruins and artifiacts to collect, as well as deciphering the properties of different alchemy ingredients and reading books

I have continued my Oblivion/Morrowind character Irvam Andarys, seeing as he is a Dark Elf so he would still be alive at the time. he did not do either mainquest, so only some things happened to him. Other characters did the mainquests and oher guilds, he focused on the assassin guilds.

Irvam Andarys was born and raised in mainland Morrowind. Growing up his parents had enough to send him to Port Telvannis to study under the local Telvanni Magelords, where he learnt the arts of Illusion, Mysticism and Destruction. When he came of age, he decided to visit Tear, the former home of his mother, and to find her family. His mother was of noble birth, while his farther was a pauper. When he arrived in Tear he was unable to find his mother's family, and lived on the streets for a few years, earning a living running odd jobs for the locals. One day, he was asked by a Dunmer man that he had come to know, and who often gave him jobs running errands for him, to kill an Orcish mercenary who had moved into the area. At first, Irvam was taken aback, but he was in need of money, so he watched the Orc for a week, learning that he had not only slandered his friend, but also assaulted his daughter. Using his knowledge of the magical Arts, Irvam snuck into the Orcs room at the local tavern, as he slept one night, and plunged a blade into his foes throat, killing him almost instantly. Unfortunately for Irvam, he was not able to escape the tavern, as a group of local Legion soldiers were drinking at the time, and caught him on the way out. Irvam was sent to the Imperial City to be tried for the death of the Orc, who had come from Chorrol. However, his Dunmer employer found out and hired professional Morag Tong assassins to rescue him, in an unorthodox assignment. The Moarg Tong operatives organised for Irvam to be sent back to Morrowind, planning to slay the guards as they crossed the Velothis Mountains. However, by special order of the Emperor, Irvam was sent to Vvardenfell by a different route, where he began his life again. Learning of this development, the Morag Tong located him in Sadrith Mora, and gave him a message from his former friend. Thankful for his rescue, Irvam parted ways with the Morag Tong, meaning to return to Tear. However, he was unable to leave Vvardenfell, and so he returned to Sadrith Mora, where he was again approached by a Morag Tong assassin, Eno Hlaalu, this time asking him to join the Guild after hearing of his defeat of a Dark Brotherhood Assassin, who had made an attempt on his life as he slept in The Gateway Inn. At first Irvam was unsure as to what to do. He did not want to stay on Vvardenfell, but to return to Tear. However, the Morag Tong offered him protection and income and the connections he needed to be smuggled back onto the mainland. Irvam's crowning achievement in the Morag Tong was the assassination of Severa Magia, the Night Mother of the Dark Brotherhood on Vvardenfell. This initiated a war against the Brotherhood, and Irvam was sent back to the Imperial City in order to infiltrate the Brotherhood and establish the Morag Tong's dominance once and for all.

After bringing the Dark Brotherhood in Cyrodiil to its knees by implicating another in the assassination of the entire Black Hand and revealing the Brotherhood to authorities, Irvam returned to Morrowind to continue to search for his lost love and his family. He was welcomed back into the Morag Tong and given a position at its head, where he continued to take contracts for several years as he searched Morrowind. Eventually, he returned to Tear where he found that his former friend had died at the hands of a drunken traveller. He used his contacts in the Morag Tong to track down his friend's daughter, who had had a falling out with the Cammona Tong, and together the two escaped to Port Telvannis, where they were married and Irvam retired from active duty for the Morag Tong. Vowing to avenge his new wife's father, Irvam resolved to set out for the west, tracking his enemy to High Rock, where he killed the unfortunate Orc and set off back to Morrowind. This was when the Red Day struck, and the country was in an uproar. Tear was overrun, Vivec was destroyed and Port Telvannis was flooded, and Irvam was left without a home whatsoever. The Morag Tong was shaken, but survived, establishing an operation on Solstheim. Hundreds of refugees escaped into Skyrim and Solstheim, and Irvam was instructed to travel to Skyrim to ready the land for the coming of the Morag Tong. Instead, Irvam wished to find his wife, but she was nowhere to be found, although it was rumoured that she too had ventured into Skyrim. With this information in hand, Irvam accepted his mission and begun his search in Skyrim, to no avail despite days, which soon became months and then even years. Eventually Irvam was forced to give up his search when he was reassigned by the Morag Tong to travel Tamriel in search of a lost fugitive who had to be slain before he revitalised an offshoot faction. Drwoning his sorry in his work, irvam returned to active duty, performing countless assassinations across the Empire and beyond. It was while performing one of these hits that Irvam learned of his entryway into the Dark Brotherhood in SKyrim, and with this new news he was sent to once again infiltrate the Brotherhood. Even today, Irvam continues the search for his lost wife and the family he never knew.

I really wanted to do what you did and try out the new melee combat but the spell effects got the better of me.

That is one awesome Nord, Scribbs. It's uncommon to see a Nord with facepaint.

At least in Skyrim it's uncommon. In Morrowind, it's easy to get a Nord confused with an Arena Khajiit.

My guy is

Sleezy Lee
Make Redguard
Level 20
No standing stone yet but I'll probably go with atronach solely for the spell absorption.
I'm focusing on dual wielding (mace of molag bal and a fine skyforge steel sword right now) as well as smithing, light armor, destruction, lockpicking and possible pickpocket (for the extra pocket perk)
I'll also be throwing some perks into speechcraft because it's an awesome skill in skyrim

Mine

Name: Kho
Race: Khajiit
Level: 10
Focus: Mainly magic, but I find myself focusing in some melee with bound weapons (Which is handy for fighting other mages)
Trying to find/enchant some light armor that's better than my robes, but no such luck...just need to focus on my enchanting a bit
I need to stop site seeing and actually get into some comba-BUTTERFLY!

Edit: Getting Enchanting and Light Armor up, currently fitted with full Elven echanted...I can tell enchanting is going to be powerful when I really get higher

Kestral, Dunmer
Clad in an enchanted hood, and enchanted set of Elven Armor, Kestral roves Skyrim with with a Nord companion from Marthol. Kestral enchanted all of his companion's equipment.
Kestral wields an ancient Axe, found from a ruin north of Whiterun. In the other hand, he wields an Elven War-Axe, enchanted with a powerful shock spell. When not dual-wielding, Kestral can cast heal spells for him and his companion, but generally likes to electrocution or roast his enemies with firebolt or lightning bolt spells.

Narzul now wanders around the land, seeking out the Daedric Shrines for further quests and letting his two Dremora Lord conjurations do all the dirty work. Even though his Destruction skill is level 100. Silly Narzul.

Loki Strongfellow is a Breton male. He was born in High Rock, but sent to Skyrim to study with the College of Winterhold because of his strong affinity to magic - though he has always preferred blades, and dueling. He was completely innocent, but got caught up in the Stormcloak ambush. Believing strongly that each people are free, he took up the cause of the Stormcloaks, though disagreed with many of their beliefs as to why they should separate.

I made hard thinking, and this is what I ended up: Nina, Breton female. I searched Lord stone, to get 50% magic resistance. In my first test drive, I noticed that magic is quite serious threat in Skyrim (necromancers, dragons, conjurers and all sorts of those). I chose light armor, as I intent to use shield.

At the moment, Nina is at level 15, two dragons down, going forward in Companions quest line. It is still challenging to keep her alive in tougher battles. Trolls and Spriggans are quite difficult opponents... I am working on Enchanting and Smithing skills, as well as the usual combat skills (Light Armor, One-Handed, Block). I use bow as backup weapon, I first try to make a sneak attack.

Calliope is a female Dark Elf with short white hair. She wears light armor and often uses a sneaky bow and arrow attack. She has recently started dual wielding enchanted axes and traps lesser souls to recharge them with. She smiths and dabbles in potions.

Trying to go for a well-rounded character here. My daughter re-named Calliope to Star Friend Calliope thus the user name.

Literally the best character I have ever made.

Born and raised in Ald'ruhn.
Ezkaton was on his way to his inauguration of becoming Archmaster of
The Great House Redoran. Then all of a sudden Red Mountain exploded, Ezkaton helped the evacuation of Ald'ruhn leading refugees to the border of Skyrim. Ezkaton heard of some other refugees moving towards Bruma so he thought he'd group with them. On his way, Ezkaton came across Stormcloaks soldiers. Though Ezkaton was not with them he was captured with the rest of them. This is where Ezkaton's Skyrim adventures begins.

Warrior, dabbles in magic and a tiny bit of Archery.
His grandfather was the Champion of Cyrodil and he was born into a family of adventurers. His bed-time stories included his grandfather fighting off Daedra and undead. When he turned 19, he ran away to Cyrodil to fight for the Empire. When they lost, he retreated to Skyrim and was ambushed...

He was the Champion of Cyrodil and once a Thalmor official. He was bringing a valuable artefact to Skyrim when he was ambushed...
