I'd figured that, but since you said "Who am I?" and the riddle was written from the viewpoint of Balimund... well, you see what I mean. I did suspect originally that you might have meant for the answer to be the apprentice, so I digress. As usual, I'll pass on my turn to someone else.

None correct so far, all too big, except for the sweetroll.

Duskglow Crevice seems right.

It's found earlier than Duskglow, and it's an item.
