I play the same three characters in all TES games. They're obviously not actually the same persons, merely identical incarnations

Rests-A-While was my original Morrowind character since I have a preference for stealth and thought argonians looked awesome. He's a wanderer although not a loner. It's not that he can't stay in one place but he constantly finds important things to do which just happens to be far away. He's a burglar, a spy, a rare book collector and competent alchemist while also a dabbler in magic and combat techniques. He's mostly pragmatic but still follows a moral code which forbids most things you and I might call indecent.
Focus: sneak, archery, alchemy, lockpicking

Kromag gro-Mukh is a tired old legion veteran. He's seen most parts of Tamriel by now and fought all kinds of creatures. Despite his profession he prefers to solve problems by discussion and intrigue. He has laid down many experienced foes and knows that one day he will meet hiw better. He's not looking forward to that day and so avoids unnecessary trouble.
Focus: one-handed, block, speech

Meirelle Debien was conceived on a whim just because I thought I'd try out the mage archetype in Morrowind. Originally I played her as a typical Telvanni a-rsehole but lately her character has become more complex and considerate although still manipulative and greedy. It will be interesting to see her come alive again in Skyrim.
Focus: alteration, conjuration, shock spells, enchanting

I also look forward to playing any of these in TESO.

I love your orc! He sounds like a wonderful character. :)

TESO takes place in the second era long before Reman Cyrodiil, by the way, so the culture will be very different. You may want to keep that in mind.

I bet Meirelle and Brelyna would make a good adventuring team together.

Got bored of grinding so have started a new character.

Swiftklaw, a Khajit outlaw who has fled to skyrim to avoid execution. At the moment I am planning to play without weapons probably go down the heavy armour route as I have just found a pair of iron boots and am off to Alvor's to learn how to smith.

I usually just look at the list of names for that race and pick one I like that's not used in the game.

EDIT: Unless it's a Nord, then I pick a Germanic name off the top of my head since I actually have a huge repository of those from my studies.

Name - Rolf Rayder

Class - Warrior (Using Swords, Sheilds and Heavy Armour)

Race - Nord

Bio - Rolf was born in 152 (4E) in Bruma. His parents were Farmers. When The Great War began, Rolf being young and adventerous, ran away from home to join the Legion (He was being forced to live his life as a farmer, his parents did not want him joining the Legion.) Rolf ended up fighting many tough battles. He was part of General Decianus's legion who were pushed into the Akir'r desert. When the Thalmor marched towards the Imperial City, Rolf was sent back to Cyrodil as a reinforcment for the defense of the Imperial city. He served in the large Naval battle that took place in Lake Rumare. When the attack on the Imperial City began, he was one of the soldiers who escaped with the Emporer. When the Imperials took back the Imperial City, Rolf Rayder was part of the attack.

When the war ended, Rolf had seen many dark things. Despite surviving the war, he was forced to continue serving the Legion. A few weeks later, Rolf managed to sneak away from his post where he deserted and ran straight back to Bruma. When he arrived at Bruma, he discovered his Father and Brother were killed in the war. His mother was still alive, but very sick. Rolf spent the next month looking after his sick mother before she died. With no job, Rolf decided to get a job as a Smith. He was able to settle down for 20 years in Bruma without being caught by the Legion. In 201 (4E) Rolf was recognized by a visiting Legion commander where he was arrested. Due to a mix-up, he was accidentally placed on a cart full of Stormcloak rebels.

Plans -After being forced into the dragon conflict in Skyrim, Rolf will eventually witness the legions struggle against the Stormcloaks. This will make Rolf decide to rejoin the Legion to fight the rebellion. After the civil war, Rolf will now attempt to retire. He instead accidentally finds himself involved in the Dark brotherhood where he goes on to do a certain deed.

hello all hope I got this bio correct as this is the first time I play any of the elder scrolls series (skyrim Xbox) been doing some reading about Breton's, if I messed up any help would be much appreciated thx OK here goes.

Name : Rellian
Race : Breton
DOB : 4Era 178
Age : 23
Class : Conjurer

Bio: At the age of 15 his merchant parents decided that it was time to leave wayrest to start a new life in markarth, but as they were en-route they where ambushed by a group of redguard thug's who killed his farther and force the young Rellian to watch as they raped and killed his mother,he was only saved when a imperial patrol hearing the screams came and killed the thugs as they refused to surrender, after local officials recover all the paperwork they found that Rellian had inherited 2000gold, as he travelled around skyrim the gold which he thought would last him soon ran out and as the years past and still no reply from the Collage he became little more that a beggar even having to sell the clothes on his back yet as he scrounged every piece of gold he would still send of messages asking about a palce at the collage staying in one place long enough for a reply.

Then a chance encounter with a old Breton female mage calling herself Elorya took pity on him and decided to offer him a job as her assistant as her age was catching up on her and she would teach him some arcane skill.

2 more years had past and now at the age of 23 and her age finally caught up with her ...Elorya past away after teaching Rellian some of the skills he want to master he decided to go to the collage in person and with the minor skills he had learnt thought that might be enough to get a place in the school as he was travelling to the collage he came across a group of nord's and as fate would have it the legion ambushed them after trying to convince them that he was not part of the group they threw he into the back of the cart to face his fate.

Reached Level 20 with Swiftklaw so have retired him. Started a new character last night as follows:

Seba Dun-Ahhe
Female Dunmer (Ashlander)
Sort of Ranger/Spell Sword crossover - light armour, bows, destruction and one handed weaposn
Level 4

Background details are a bit sketchy at the moment as I don't know anything about Ashlanders.

My main aim is to hunt game, monstes, bandits and other ne'er-do-wells without really touching on MQ, Civil War, Dawnguard or Guilds. At the moment I am basing myself in Riverwood using my new friend's Faendal's and Alvor's houses as my base of operations.

After spur-of-the-moment decisions careful deliberation, my (hopefully) final list of characters. Sheesh. I didn't know it would take so many tries to get them right. Both of them are level 1 at the time of this post, so most of this information is what I hope to do.

Class: Witch [magic]
Skills: Alchemy, Alteration, Conjuration, Destruction, Restoration
Home: Whiterun
Guild: College of Winterhold (student of Conjuration)
Spouse: Marcurio, Onmund, or Argis, probably

Name: Kalthar the Bold
Race: Nord (mother & father Nords)
Class: Guardian/Heavy Scout - mace&board [combat]
Skills: Archery (crossbow), Block, Heavy Armor, One-handed, Smithing
Home: Windhelm or Whiterun
Guild: Companions, Dawnguard
Spouse: Mjoll the Lioness, Aela, or Ria, most likely

Alnevar Odai- sounds like "I'll never (o) die" while having a connection to the house hlaalu.
Dunmer. Not really strict in class archetype, in fact the point of my character is to go through many. I follow the idea set on by the in game book series entitled beggar, thief, warrior and king. I start out with nothing and dont pretend to know otherwise, an untouchable who has no skill or aptitude for combat or magic. I try to survive, a man on the run. Inevitably, I find myself in trouble and needing assistance. If disease I go to a temple, if crime I turn to the thieves guild, if a near-death experience I try to find training. This aspect determines my overall style of play and the "main" branch of class I set out with. After-which-point I tailor my skills to all of my experiences and grow from my shortfalls eventually to the point where I am to test myself once my character feels "pointless" and join a major faction. And by the end I master them all and control Skyrim.

Okay, here's my character that I've been playing on for over six months.

Name: Dar'Jarsha
Race:Khajiit
Class: Assassin

Bio: Born in Elsweyr, this young Khajiit was born right after The Great War. He didn't want to be ruled by the Altmer. so he started a small rebellion that was quickly defeated and Dar'Jarsha was imprisoned and tortured. However, he managed to escape and ran to Cyrodiil, promising himself to never go back to Elsweyr.

After years of living in hiding, he was finally found by the Thalmor. But he was prepared and escaped them once again. This time to Skyrim.

He was captured by Imperials, escaped thanks to a dragon attack and found out he was the Dragonborn.

He didn't answear the call of the Graybeards at first. Instead, he found and joined the Dark Brotherhood. He made history - by doing a thing I'm not going to spoil for the ones that haven't completed the DB storyline - and became the leader of the Dark Brotherhood. After that, he finally accepted that he really was the Dragonborn. He was teached by the Graybeards and mastered his Thu'um.

After that he went back to misadventuring. He joined the College of Winterhold. Magics were never his thing, but why not give it a try? Before you know, he became the Arch-Mage. Then he joined the Companions, but didn't do anything major yet.

So back to fulfilling his destiny. Well... He did it. Saved the world. Not gonna spoil anything for ya.

Then he joined the Thieves Guild, saved it, brought it back to it's former glory and became the Guild Master.

Now he had time for the Companions. He, together with the other Companions, repaired the axe of Ysgramor himself.

Then was the time for the ultimate decision. Imperials or Stormcloaks. He figured Imperials and helped end the war in their favor.

But there's one thing left to do. And that's to bring the fight to the Thalmor.

I'm one of those people that only really likes to play one character, so I try and have some involvement in all questlines.

Name: Ul'ysses
Race: Khajiit
Born: 4E171
Class: Samurai/Ronin (mix of combat and stealth)

Born into a northern Elsweyr tribe that held dissident views on the Thalmor's role in ending the Void Nights. At the age of 30 he started working the caravan routes from Elsweyr into Cyrodiil. While trading around Bruma the caravan was leapt upon by Justicars, the caravan was smuggling Talos idols and amulets. There was a struggle, the caravan escorts held off the justicars while the others fled in different directions. Ul'ysses made for the border of Skyrim, where he went right from escaping the Justicars to being swept up by the Imperials in an ambush on nearby Stormcloaks...

Disillusioned that the Empire had just tried to kill him and taken aback by the arrival of a dragon, Ul'ysses followed the Stormcloaks out of Helgen. He came close to joining them, however the treatment of the Argonians and the Dunmer in Windhelm changed his mind. Ul'ysses travelled to Solitude and joined the legion, determined to stamped out the racism of the stormcloaks and promote racial-equality throughout Skyrim. At Whiterun he discovered he was a kin of Alkosh, Dovahkiin, Dragonborn.

The rest:
Spoiler:
He ended the civil war, crushed pirates, destroyed the dark-brotherhood, prevented Thalmor acquisition of the Eye of Magnus, defeated Alduin; and in a never-ending quest to try and bringdown Maven Black-Briar he joined the thieves guild, cleaning it up but limiting its reach to within Riften. Ul'ysses also works as a rogue agent within the empire to keep the Thalmor out of Skyrim. Wielder of Dragonbane and the Oathblade, Ul'ysses keeps the Blades going, despite disagreements with his compatriots over the fate of Paarthurnax. Upon his discovery of Keening Ul'ysses is trying to find out more about the events of Red Mountain, and the Khajiit Nerevarine that wielding the blade before him.

I imagine him as a Sanjuro style Ronin, wandering into towns and taking care of business. A little Machiavellian in execution, but selfless on a grander level.

Alas poor Stormborn was melted by a ancient dragon and as I was playing on my DED save at the time he is dead and gone.

After trying a few combinations I ended up with another Nord - Einar Stormblade (at the time I created him I was planning on joining the Stormcloaks so I figured it would tie in nicely with the titles you earn. Unfortunately, I forgot what annoying dicks the Stormcloak leaders are (wish there was the option for the Dragonborn to slap the crap out of the Stormcloaks and Imperials) so I'm going to ignore the civil war at the moment I'm playing as a stealthy warrior type shooting from a distance, cutting throats from the shadows then get stuck in good and proper.

Not got any real goal with this character other than to level him up ready for the next DLC as this will be my main character once I hit level 50ish I will start a couple of other character playing under DED with more specialists builds in mind.

Name: Qa'nirr
Age: Early thirties.
Gender: Male
Race: Khajiit
Spec: Thief, w/ dual daggers and bow. sneaky, but keeps a sword or war axe on hand in case things get hairy.

Story:
Qa'nirr grew up in an influential family in Elsweyr. He had an older brother, who was very arrogant and snotty. His mother is a retired thief, who used to be a high-ranking member within the Thieves Guild in Elsweyr. Qa'nirr's father was a famous smith who lived in Skyrim when he was younger.

His father's side of the family was gifted with the ability to use the Thu'um. Legend has it, that centuries before Qa'nirr's time, a relative of his did Kynareth a favor. In return for the favor, Kynareth gifted his family with the power of the Voice. When Qa'nirr's father was young, he traveled to Skyrim to train with the Greybeards of High Hrothgar. It was there, were he developed a friendship with Eorlund Gray-mane. The father of Qa'nirr was already a gifted blacksmith and warrior.

Qa'nirr learned from a young age how to shoot a bow, and how to handle daggers. His mother, being a past thief, taught him how to sneak, lockpick etc. But his father, having become successful in the smithing business, had many enemies. He was assassinated by the Dark Brotherhood when Qa'nirr was a 20. With nothing to live for in Elsweyr, he left his mother and brother to travel with caravans around Tamriel.

Qa'nirr traveled with the caravans for 9 years. They saw much of Tamriel. One day in Cyrodill, north of Bruma and close to the border with Skyrim, Qa'nirr's caravan was attacked by bandits. The caravan was destroyed and everyone in it died but Qa'nirr. Wounded and tired, Qa'nirr stumbles past the border into Skyrim right into a Stormcloak ambush of an Imperial camp. You know the rest.

Thieves guild, and destroys the Dark Brotherhood. Main storyline later on.

Name: Darthron Heptavius
Race: Imperial
Specialties: Sneak, Smithing

Story: 17 years old during the fall of the Imperial City during the Great War in 4E174, Darthron witnessed firsthand the brutality with which the Thalmor treated the "inferior residents". Already having lost his father to the siege of Leyawin, he witnessed the cruel rape and murder of his mother by an Altmer officer and swore revenge. Fleeing into the sewers below the Arena District, when pursued by that very same officer, he met up with the small scale resistance movement, led by a Nord - Ulfarth Frostmane, which had been staging guerilla attacks on the occupiers for months. He joined up with the rebel group and continued to harass the Thalmor as they tried to quell all resistance.

When the City was liberated during the Battle of The Red Ring in the following year he moved on from the now disbanded resistance movement, maintaining useful contacts in the Imperial City among fellow resistors who were drafted into the new City Guards. Orphaned and alone he traveled to Anvil via Carriage from an old family friend. Having heard of the resistance of the Redguards in Hammerfell he then took a ship to Stros M'Kai to offer aid to the local population. The Second Treaty of Stros M'Kai in 3E180 saw the removal of the Thalmor from Hammerfell entirely and Darthron, now 23, returned to Cyrodiil.

Upon his return he moved to Bravil, visiting the now empty Priory of the Nine in The West Weald which was purged by the Thalmor for its belief in the divine Talos. Upon his arrival in Bravil he became a blacksmith's apprentice and learned to control metal and fire for a living. In the year 4E186 he married the blacksmith's daughter, a breton named Aliah for whom he had often enchanted with tales of his past in the Imperial City and Stros M'Kai. Sadly only two years later Aliah was killed during the riots in 4E188 by skooma-addicted gangsters. Heartbroken, Darthron attended her funeral in the mass graveyard at the settlement of Water's Edge and left Bravil in sorrow.

For the next 7 years Darthron wandered the land without purpose, making money any way that he could. In 4E195, now aged 38, in a chance meeting met again with his old friend Ulfarth Frostmane and they decided to travel to Bruma. As Ulfarth's uncle owned a courier business in the city it would be easy work and Darthron accepted the offer of a job. Together they tackled deliveries as far as Skaven in the west and Stormhold in the south.

Upon his 44th birthday in 4E201 news hit Cyrodiil of the murder of High King Toryyg of Skyrim and many of the Nords in Cyrodiil returned to Skyrim, including Ulfarth who joined up with the revolutionary Stormcloaks. In the same year the company accepted a well-paid commission to deliver a series of Dwemer artifacts to the College of Winterhold, despite the fact that the East Empire Company enforces a monopoly on such items. Upon his travel to Skyrim Darthron was caught up in a brief battle between Stormcloak and Imperial forces and was taken prisoner by the Imperials. Thrust into a cart for his presence at the battle and his possession of banned Dwemer Artifacts he awaited his fate as he was taken away...

That is who I am.

Name: Sa e'Ada
Race: Breton
Class: Thief/Enchanter

Arrested for: fleeing arrest after petty thievery of food in Bruma.

Backstory: A rather lazy and unambitious working man at first who turned to the thievery in search of an easier way to make Septims, his love is of gold and the power it brings. after a rather amateur attempt to make off with a few coins and a loaf of bread he is wanted by the guard and so flees into Skyrim, once he escapes Helgan he develops an interest in the arcane hoping it will bring him greater success and power within the world.

He is one who is in love with The Dark, his name is not a family one but one he adopted after reading of a legendary race with the power over mortal hearts, obviously he worships Nocturnal and will join the Thieves Guild. He is not a killer at first but after he accidentally kills a Dunmer disguised as a ghost and later causes the deaths of several pilgrims in an old underground sanctuary he begins killing when the situation may call for it but never when easily avoidable.
