She is mentally ensnared in darkness after taking the lexicon from Avanchnzel, and if you help her it counts as one of the Riften reputation quests, which in turn helps u become Thane, thus allowing you to buy Honeyside (whose name alludes to 'next to flowing sweetness?') :wat:
