I mean, just from the riddle, there really aren't any leads that I could think of that I could go on with the wiki, and there are tons of quests that end multiple ways, so I really don't have any clue.

True, looking at the riddle now it's pretty bad. I had a song stuck in my head that had to do with it and I guess it flowed into the riddle lol. I'll say that it's an Easter egg.

In the Ratway, I believe there is a cart next to the skeletons of some deer. It was added to the Easter Eggs page as a reference to Halloween Town, but later removed.

Yes. Nobody scream, in the song they say everybody scream. Hush as a whisper just means the sneaking through the sewers and into the house. Few are the deer. Little surprise is self explanatory. 3 holidays in one is that it's an Easter Egg, of Halloween taking over Christmas.

Reminds me of the Riften quest to the dwemer ruin with the ghosts where you return the lexicon. Too lazy to look up spelling so Amenchuzel.

The ghosts pop up here and there
Your head is vacant until you beat the quest, and you are reliving a memory
You begin the quest, everyone (except 1) dies.
