I just started a new character after doing nearly all the quests with my first and getting her up to level 61. This new one I decided to make him essentially me. ei his decisions would be my decisions he'd only do something or react to something the same way I personally would in real life. I guess that's maybe the opposite of roleplaying but anyway...
I decided that since I'm a bit of a languages and literature person IRL I've named him Tilde Umlaut. (Sounds nice and Nordic) :)

Race: Nord
Sex: Male
Playstyle: Soldier with sword or axe and shield. Decent archer.
No magic except for a candlelight spell for dark tunnels. (I chose this because my standard play through style is always a Spellsword and I wanted to explore different ways of playing the same game.)
No thievery, no crime at all in fact. Destroyed the dark brotherhood
Does some smithing and enchanting.

I imagine him to be a scholar or teacher who got dragged into the civil war reluctantly but has come to see the need for the Nords to be free people not under the Imperials.
(I'm taking the Stormcloak side in the civil war this time)

I had all my Skyrim saves wiped for some reason so I started a new on. Before i was really enjoying a pure mage so that's what I'm doing.

Name: GingerPowder
Race: High Elf
Sex: Male
Playstyle: Own everything with fire, use Conjuration to give some extra support in a fight and use Restoration after. Relies a bit on potions of Magicka or Health.
Major skills: Destruction, Conjuration and Restoration
Minor skills: Light armour and Lockpicking.
Support skills: Enchanting and Alchemy (might go into smithing later)
Joined The College of Winterhold, now plans to either join The Dark Brotherhood or continue on with the main questline.
Why captured: Killed 10 guards using the power of his Ginger hair.

Right now I have a male dark elf spell sword, female breton assassin/thief, and male nord warior. I just finished the main quest and stormcloaks quest with my nord and also did all the quest lines I wanted to with my dark elf and breton. It is time for a new character I can't seem to make up my mind on weather I want to make a khajiit or argonian. Like with my breton I will completly skip the main quest and most likely do a similar play style.

No, when I started a new character all my other saves including: my paladin, archer and so on, where gone. I think it was due to how much free hard drive space I had on my PS3.

Name: Baldr. Doesn't sound Altmer-like at all and I am fully aware of that. This is not his real name; he was born Aurelion but chose to call himself in a more Nord-like way when he left home as a teenager. This happens when your father is a die-hard Thalmor and you can't stand his guts.
Majors (yay for high education terminology!): One-Handed, Two-Handed, Heavy Armor, Smithing, Alchemy (solely for healing potions), Archery (because there comes a time in a fellow's life when he realizes that he can't just hack at a dragon with a greatsword).
Factions: pretty much only the Companions. He sympathizes with the Stormcloaks but distrusts Ulfric, so I don't think he will join. Mainly occupies himself with running about doing misc helpful quests for the people of Skyrim and just exploring the land he has grown to love so much. Oh, and slaying dragons. Naturally.

I am still going on with this character. He has lately been levelling up like crazy - must be the Lover Stone ability, but even those of my previous characters who had it did not level up so fast - and has grown to level 41 in a matter of a few 2-hour game sessions. I have grown rather fond of him, and have been creating a certain quantity of fan fiction featuring him and his adventures.
Bogged down in exploring and doing radiant quests, he has completely forgotten about the Main Quest - which I keep nagging him about. I suppose some time soon I will make him trot up the Throat of the World - I mean, the Greybeards must be getting really miffed with all that waiting!
Though initially I planned my character to be a pure warrior type, to counteract the popular Elf stereotype, now I have decided to make more emphasis on healing, both through potions and spells. I am even considering joining the College of Winterhold - just to give Colette Marence a sense of purpose in life. And after all, a fellow has to occupy himself with something before the time comes for him to join the Dawnguard.

Name- Cameran
Race-wood elf vampire
Playstyle- thief
Current level- 46
Focus- sneak, archery, pickpocket

As a boy, he lived in valenwood, as part of a tribe. He lived a peaceful and happy life in the beautiful native forests. He was taught to use a bow and arrow, and be the best hunter as possible for the tribe. Although it wasn't normal for tribal wood elves, He had always yearned to learn the arcane arts. There was no one to teach him however so he had given up on the dream. Until the thalmor came. The thalmor quickly and powerfully burned down the small town like it was nothing. Before he knew it, almost everyone he knew was dead. He fled into the woods, where the thalmor couldn't get him.

He then made a decision that would Change his life. He was going to skyrim, to the college of winterhold, to chase a long lost dream. When he finally got to skyrim, he ran into some stormcloaks, and before he knew it, he was captured and brought to Helgen to be executed. Well, this is the end... he thought as he was called u to be wrongly executed. All of a sudden, a giant dragon swooped down and saved his life. He then followed a man named Hadvar out of Helgen. He was then led to riverwood, where he heard of a big town nearby, whiterun. Maybe there he could find directions to winterhold! He talked to the court wizard, who told him the location of the college and wished him luck. Outside of whiterun, he noticed it would take a long time to get to winterhold on foot. When he got down to the road, he couldn't help but steal a horse on the way out to get there faster. He was on his way to his dreams!

Much traveling later, he had finally gotten to winterhold. He spoke to the gate keeper, faralda, only to have to take a test to get in! He could not comPlete this test, and was forced to leave. He was heartbroken. The long journey from valenwood, for nothing. He then returned to riverwood to drink over his sadness. He was poor, and had nowhere to go. He had to steal to make a living. Soon he heard rumors of a thieves guild in riften, hoping he could get let in with his natural skills from valenwood. And the rest is history.

I didnt just do the backstory because instead of it happening like it's expected to, there's an unexpected twist in the actual playing. And yes, this is actually how it happened, me making a wood elf wanting to make a Mage(I was new to the game) and then not being able to figure out how to get into the college of winterhold(a little less epic than in the story) so giving up on magic and joining the thieves guild. I like to think instead of actually fighting in the war, he just supplied the imperials and as leader of the thieves guild, all that money helped a lot and made the imperials win. So we'll leave it that he's an imperial supporter. He was my first character. Will be making my new story for my nord soon.

Name: Shadrakka
Race: Khajiit
Playstyle: Assassin/Spy/Poisoner

Born in Elsweyr. His grand grandfather was D'rakka, who joined the Renrijra Krin and was instrumental in killing the countess of Leyawiin and in the retaking of Elsweyr land from the Imperials.
Now Shadrakka, wich is Khajiit for "Shadow Cat" is his descendant and one of several elite trained Renrija Krin Assassins (or any descendant organization thereof) sent to the various provinces to observe Thalmor activities and report back about various political situations.

Shadrakka was sent to Skyrim. After entering skyrim he was mistaken to have tried to leave and detained. In helgen a ferocious dragon interrupted the execution. He fled with a Nord called Ralof. And after gaining some vital supplies in the town of Riverwood, went on his way to accomplish his objectives.
Amongst these objectives is the assassination of particular individuals that might be a threat to the security of Elsweyr.

Shadrakka has a fierce hatred for the Thalmor, and is one of the few Khajiit aware of the Thalmor "stunt" with the disappearing and reappearing of the moon.

finalized my main character
level 37
Alessia
nord
warrior/agent
Alessia was born to noble parents in bruma lived the life of the pampered princess with a love of ebony, at age 13 her father enrolled her in markmanship classes and personally taught her swordplay and how to fight with a shield. at age 16 she went with her father to imperial city where she saw a imperial legion parade in full swing and she developed a desire to become a legionnaire in shining ebony armor(she kinda has an ebony fetish so to speak). On the eve of Alessia's 23rd birthday, her father sent her to skyrim to earn her fortune, however she stumbled into a skirmish, and in the chaos stormcloaks grabbed her and when imperial soldiers finally caught up to her. She was misinterpreted as a stormcloak spy and thrown on a cart with a smelly fellow named ralof and a thief she rather disdained name lokir, though she didn't mind giving ulfric a few lookovers now and again....

Name: Cyrus Prower
Race: Khajiit
'Class': He's basically everything, I never really nailed him down to one play-style
Guilds: College of Winterhold, Dark Brotherhood, Thieves Guild
Perks: I forget.

Story: The (kinda)mortal son of the Champion of Cyrodiil [My oblivion Character Zh'Ar, 200 years after his ascension, yeah he's a walking time abyss]. Cyrus was raised in Cyrodiil thus gaining his name, but made pilgrimage to Elsweyr eventually. In his Adolescence he became close friends with an Argonian named Zarro-Ta, Tamriel's only Astrophysicist who had spent his life studying Dwemer technology and trying to explain away the myths of Nirn's creation and such.

At age 18 Cyrus and Zarro got in deep with a vicious band of adventurous cutthroats, The Khajiit has a scar over his right eye as a reminder of his savage experiences. He left the gang 6 years later at the request of his surviving family and friends.Taking work where it could be found he joined the legion as an Imperial Scout for Emperor Titus Mede II. Unfortunately he joined at the same time The Great War broke out. Thanks to his Daedric blood and Stealth Skills, Cyrus had barely managed to survive years of near-fatal injuries and disease. Not being a fan of the Thalmor, he later quit.

Now at about 78 years old and still not appearing a day over 25, Cyrus went in search of an answer to his Inability to die. That search took him to the border of Skyrim, where he was beaten and robbed by Nord Supremacist(explaining his lack of clothing) and caught in the middle of a massive battle between Stormcloaks an Legionaries. The rest is [Slightly Altered] history.

Name: Aldion (['al.di.ɔn], based on Quenya alda, meaning 'tree', and +ion, meaning 'son of')
Race: Bosmer
Sex: Male
Major skills: Archery, Sneak, Conjuration
Minor skills: Destruction, Alteration, Enchanting
Current level: 1
Background: Born in Valenwood, he's a young Bosmer who hates the Thalmor and feels that his people are slaves of their island neighbours. He left his homeland when the Stormcloak Rebellion began, believing that a rebel victory would weaken the power of the Aldmeri Dominion. As he arrived in Skyrim, he ran into his fate of being the Dragonborn and, shocked about this, it took him some time to understand his full potential while aiding commoners all through the nine holds. Eventually, he became a fully member of the College of Winterhold and the Black Brotherhood in order to enhance his magic and stealth skills. When he thought he was ready, he took sides with Ulfric and faced his destiny as the sole hope against the World Eater, Alduin.

Aldion relies on his shadowy, deadly attacks with bow and arrow and, when engaged in close quarters combat, he's usually seen fighting with a mace and destruction spells, often backed by an atronach.

This was my first character, my PS3 decided to kill him by losing the game file —about level 30, I don't remember— and soon I'll begin anew. Now I'm playing with:

Name: Hjelthryth (['hʲel.θɾʏð], based on Germanic roots hild+, meaning 'war' and +þryþ, meaning 'strength')
Race: Nord
Sex: Female
Major skills: Two-handed, One-handed, Block
Minor skills: Archery, Heavy Armor, Smithing
Current level: 17
Background: Her parents were a caravan trader from Windhelm and a pretty young woman he had met at Whiterun's market. They married at the Temple of Mara in Riften in Fourth Era, 173 and went to Markarth, where he had bought a modest property with his life-savings that allowed them to live and set up a small general goods store. Early in Fourth Era, 174, Hjelthryth was born, not long before the Battle of Markarth. When the Reachmen took control, they were forced to leave the city nearly empty-handed and established at the Grey Quarter in Windhelm.

While her father invested the little gold he could spare in an Argonian ship, Hjelthryth grew up among her Dunmer neighbours and the Argonians from the docks. When she was five, her father had saved a little fortune from the shipping business and was given back his little holding in Markarth by Jarl Ulfric Stormcloak, who helped Jarl Igmund to drive out the Forsworn from the ancient Dwarven city. The family took the old caravan and hired an Orc mercenary to escort them in their way across Skyrim, who was very kind to the little girl.

They had just left behind Dragon Bridge and entered the Reach when her father was suddenly heart-pierced by a Forsworn arrow. Her Orc friend told her and her mother to run into the wild while he confronted a Forsworn archer and a Briarheart. They couldn't seek shelter as the Orc was soon flame-charred to death by the Briarheart, not before he could behead the archer and wound the right arm of the sorcerer with his battleaxe. Then, the seriously wounded witchman approached Hjelthryth and her mother while the latter embraced the former, trying to protect her little girl, but a lightning bolt coming out of the Briarheart's staff turned that warm hug into nothing. Hjelthryth, rage driven, began to shout and roar and rushed onto him, taking out his heart with her right hand and instantly killing him. She ran to her dying mother who gave her her amulet of Talos and died in her arms. Hjelthryth was found hours later, weeping in sorrow and still holding the briar heart in her hand, by a caravan of merchant Khajiits, who took her to Markarth where she settled at the Warrens.

She spent nearly two years begging for food until Jarl Igmund noticed her and commanded that she would go to the Honorhall Orphanage in Riften. There she was bullied by two older orphan twins and the terrible old crone, Grelod the Kind. Hjelthryth managed to escape the orphanage in Fourth Era, 184, and wandered south to Cyrodiil, subsisting on fruits, berries and stolen crops. Eventually, she ran into an old man who noticed her amulet and claimed to be a former priest of the Great Chapel of Talos in Bruma, exiled to a little shack out of town after the ban of the cult of Talos was enforced by the White-Gold Concordat. He adopted her and they worshipped Talos together. The old priest used to go to the Fighter's Guild of Bruma and thus Hjelthryth learned the basics of sword-fighting. In Fourth Era, 189, a Thalmor Justiciar reached their shack, killed the old man and took Hjelthryth captive. While on their way to the Imperial City, a dragonling appeared from the skies and fire-breathed the Altmer to death. Then, it scratched the right side of her face, leaving a scar that runs from her forehead down to her cheekbone. The flying lizard remained for a while staring at her and then flew north.

Hjelthryth became then a hireling and hanged around Anvil, Kvatch and Skingrad, where she bought a little house after she gathered enough gold. In Fourth Era, 201, tired of her empty life, she decided to go back to her homeland and join the Stormcloak rebellion against the Empire and the Thalmor. She sold her home and donated all her gold to the Chapel of Akatosh in Kvatch and began the journey. She was taken prisoner while crossing the border to Skyrim, escaped Alduin's raid of Helgen and eventually arrived to the tundra plains surrounding Whiterun where she met a group of Companions fighting a giant. She joined them and beat it, and met Aela the Huntress, with whom she fell in love at once. She entered the Companions and their highest rank, the Circle, by becoming a werewolf, being Aela her forebear. Shortly after, she was revealed as the legendary Dragonborn, by slaying Mirmulnir and absorbing its soul. Therefore, she was named Thane of Whiterun.

Hjelthryth is a pure warrior who favours the sword and axe, both in one and two-handed versions. She also uses a bow when a surprise attack is needed, and has recently become fond of smithing her own weapons. She prefers the Iron Armor when slaying dragons and the Wolf one when hunting Silver Hands, believing that alleged better equipment is not needed if hers is kept in good condition. Hjelthryth mainly worships Talos, but also Akatosh, Dibella and, more recently, Mara, at whose temple intends to marry her shield-sister Aela. She plans to take the seven thousand steps up to High Hrothgar, to be taught the Way of the Voice by the Greybeards and, thereafter, she will take sides with the Stormcloaks in order to free their people.

Hjelthryth enjoys long nights filled with beer, mead and skooma.

I've made an account specifically for this comment. I have done this because I feel the need to publish my characters somewhere, that other players might be inspired to find new experience and fun in this, the most customizable RPG ever. These characters are all designed and played on master difficulty. Some builds have low end armor and weapons, but this is to have a variety of 'looks' to my characters, and since you can almost hit the armor cap with just about any armor buffed up with enchanting and alchemy, this is no problem for master difficulty.

I've scoured every corner of the Internet, and I could not find anyone with this many different characters in one spot, so enjoy!

Name: Dragonborn
Level: 69
Race: Nord
Play style: The Dragonborn is the all around warrior, sword and shield cutting through countless enemies without hesitation, with proficient archery for ranged combat and to keep away from deadly dragons.
Gear: full Steel armor
Skill Sets: Enchanting, Smithing, Heavy Armor, Block, One handed, Archery

Name: Warlock
Level:68
Race: High Elf
Play style: the all around Mage, the altmer uses destruction as his primary offensive option, with other schools serving as various buffers to ensure that even when he loses concentration, he isn't a 1-hit meatbag flying across the dungeon at the sight of an arrow. Illusion can turn enemies against one-another, while conjuration takes the heat off you. Restoration and alteration protect you, while enchanting ensures you can keep it all under the wraps of your magicka bar.
Gear: fully enchanted clothing, destruction costs zero magicka
Skill sets: destruction, illusion, alteration, restoration, conjuration, enchanting

Name: thief
Level:65
Race: Argonian
Play style: the thief is mostly a non-combatant, preferring to slip away in darkness than to meet enemies head on. He relies solely on his skills, deeming blades uncivilized and magic for weaklings.
Gear: guild masters armor (thieves guild)
Skill sets: sneak, lock picking, pickpocket, light armor, speech

Name: Marksman
Level:53
Race: Wood Elf
Play style: the marksman is archery-only when it comes to enemies. So tougher foes may require some strategic maneuvering about the battlefield. He uses light armor for the speed, and sneak occasionally for the initial bonus, but never as a primary skill.
Gear: Full dragonscale armor, daedric bow
Skill sets: Archery, light armor, smithing, enchanting, speech

Name: Battlemage
Level: 54
race: Imperial

Race: Argonian
Play style: trained in witchcraft and stealth since the day of his hatching, this vampiric assassin uses illusion to lead unwary prey into traps and other devious and cunning methods of dispatch. And when there are only a few weakened enemies left, he pounces with dual daggers or life-sucking magic to finish the job.
Gear: dark brotherhood robes
Skills: illusion, sneak, alchemy, pickpocket, destruction

Name: Alik'r Warrior
Level: 57
Race: Redguard
Play style: The Alik'r are the sworn protectors of hammerfell, the Redguard nation. They wear light cloth only due to the scorching heat of their desert homeland, and prefer curved swords to shred their enemies to ribbons. Curved. Swords. He uses alteration and restoration to protect himself from the mortal injuries of master difficulty, and mastery enchantments to keep up with his enemies, despite using a low end weapon and no armor.
Gear: (Nazir's) Redguard hood, Redguard clothes, and boots, fully enchanted.
Skill sets: one handed, alteration, restoration, enchanting

Name: Telepathic
Level: 44
Race: High elf
Play style: the telepathic is an opportunistic thief who enhances his abilities with illusion magic. A master of the mind, he can confuse or calm even the most powerful enemies. Add a mastery of conjuration to call demonic brothers from oblivion, and maybe a follower with a sanguine rose, and you are at the head of a small army of matching awesomeness. Few things are more badass than four fully armored dremora heading into battle at your side.
Gear: full daedric armor, daedric greatsword, summon dremora lord
Skill sets: two handed, conjuration, heavy armor, smithing, enchanting

***
Note:
These next few characters are character concepts, characters that I have not finished, or barely started, but are in the works. I consider a character to be "done" when his skills are efficient enough to fearlessly tear through dungeons at will on master difficulty.
***

Ancient Nord - Nord
-Complete companions quest line, unlock ancient Nord armor
-wear amulet of talos and shout at everything.
-complete main quest line and unlock call of valor to summon shouting follower.
-unlock Dead Thrall and complete Imperial Civil War quest line to resurrect Ulfric Stormcloak, the shouting zombie!
Skill sets: heavy armor, two handed, archery, smithing, enchanting, conjuration

Priest - Wood elf
Wielding a staff primarily, the priest is an agent of the divines, and will usually hire out tasks for others to do, as his primary role is a messenger of the gods. But, at times, the priest is forced to make use of his well sharpened skills, when a Necromancer moves in down the road, or when the soul of a loved one needs a little extra coaxing into the grave. Off hand may wield a spell or a sword.
Skill sets: one handed, restoration, alteration, enchanting

Shaman - Dark elf
With the powers of darkness, this daedric worshipper can bring to life a fearsome deity, or simply turn his foes to ash with deadly destruction magic. He dwells in caves and ruins, only appearing outside to collect thralls to do their bidding. Wields a staff in the main hand, and a spell or sword in the off hand.
Skill sets: one handed, destruction, conjuration, enchanting

Warlord - Nord
Pure warrior, with every option to meet an enemy on the battlefield. Enemy with a shield? Smash it to pieces with a war hammer, leaving them open. Forsworn dual wielders getting on your nerves? Put up your shield and charge them down! Two handed enemies a little powerful? Duck in and out with dual swords for quick strikes without taking hits from slower opponents. No magic. No stealth.
Skill sets: smithing, heavy armor, block, two handed, one handed, archery.

Druid - Argonian
An elemental of nature magic and the power of the beast, the Druid is keen in cult magics and blood offerings. He has the power to shapeshift into a werewolf at any time, and can summon wolf brothers (dlc assumed) while in that form. While summon familiar is far too weak to be of any use at high levels, I will be playing around with staves of reanimation on animals to retain their corpse and summon them over and over for wolf or bear followers. (experimentation needed to see if this is viable)
Skill sets: destruction, conjuration, alteration, enchanting, alchemy.

Sorcerer - Orc
The silhouette of my cleric build, the sorcerer is a shield-spell caster of the more direct type. He is a master of the shield and aggressive with pyrotechnics and conjured atronachs.

Skill sets: archery, sneak, smithing

Gunner is a Viking name, which is why I named my male nord gunner. Nords are based off of Vikings. Will be coming out with his story soon.Gunner is pronounced GOON-ar.

Malkax Gro-Darog, Orc Berserker and wanderer who was born in Skyrim.

Playstyle: Light Armor, Dual-Axe Berserker

Major Skills: Light Armor, One Handed, Smithing

Minor Skills: Restoration, Block, Speech

Support Skills: Alteration, Two-Handed, Heavy Armor

Malkax was born in the stronghold of Morgulbur, and was raised as a warrior just as many others before him. As a strong man, even for an orc, he seemed destined to defeat his father and become chief.
His dreams were shattered when bandits sacked the prosperous stronghold, and in the battle, many of Malkax's kin were killed. Malkax rushed to the defense, killing bandit after bandit, his rage and lust for blood growing with every kill he made. Eventually his mind became clouded with nothing but the vision of killing and maiming. Malkax completely gave in to his berserker rage, killing all of the bandits that invaded and destroyed his home. When the bandits were dead, however, his rage did not subside, and he turned on the survivors of Morgulbur, killing them all as well. After the culling of his own kin, Malkax wandered until his rage finally died down and realized what he had done. Knowing that the death of his kin was on his hands, Malkax secluded himself from society, making his own tattoos on his hands in face that represented the blood of his people.

In the wilderness, Malkax still lost himself constantly to his rage. Scores of dead elk would litter the woods of his residence, remnants of his rampages. Any travelers coming by would find themselves quickly cut down by the angry, feral orc.

One day, Malkax's rage led him to following a fleeing traveler, killing him within the sight of Whiterun. Scores of guards rushed out to attack the orc, and Malkax was able to kill about half a dozen until he was beaten unconscious and thrown into the dungeons. The orc would not have this, and easily bent an iron grate that led him out of the city and into the wilds once more.

Wandering, he eventually made it to the town of Kynesgrove, where the people accepted him kindly and with hospitality. Malkax, feeling truly humbled, informed the people of the town of his condition, and asked that they bind him and kill him. Roggi Knot-Beard, a resident of the town, proposed an alternate solution; mead, and lots of it.

The alcohol did indeed subside Malkax's rage, and in return for his kindness, Malkax fetched Roggi's ancestral shield. Figuring that the orc would need his help to stay in control of himself, Roggi joined Malkax, with plenty of mead in tow. Together, the two venture across Skyrim, looking for an orc stronghold so that Malkax may rejoin his people and relearn the old ways of controlling his anger, and to look for more mead.

Agathor, Male, Nord

Playstyle: Warrior/Thief (Primarily a warrior, rushing into battle sword drawn, but he's no fool. He favors a stealth approach when he's out-numbered, shooting down his enemies from afar.)

Major Skills: Archery, One-handed, Smithing

Minor Skills: Light Armor, Sneak, Speech

Backstory: Sentenced to execution for stealing royal jelly from an Imperial kitchen, this amnesiac warrior knows little of his past. What he remembers is vague, what is certain is that he is gifted with a power unlike any he's ever seen. Of course, he wouldn't remember if he had seen a power like his because, as previously stated, he's amnesiac. Or just forgetful. Whichever is more dramatic. Let' stick with amnesia.

I finally made a backstory for my mage and I wanted to share it. I put it in spoiler tags because it is kind of long.

Name: Sylmirie
Race: Altmer
Age: 90

Spoiler:
Sylmirie was born into a family of powerful mages in Alinor, Summerset Isles. Her father, Alendil, and her mother, Elmirie, were married for 50 years before Auriel blessed them with Sylmirie, their first daughter. She was very special, as the couple struggled to conceive. This was a secret for the most part, although not many folk questioned the couple. Alendil and Elmirie were very gifted in the magickal arts, and were thus recruited by the Thalmor. Alendil was a very studious elf and spent a lot of time reading all sorts of books in order to learn more. His wife was a bit more social. She was a very beautiful woman with a sharpness, and thus enjoyed the attention that was given to her more than most. Within several years of Sylmirie's birth, the couple had a second child, Lilliana. She was nearly identical in appearance to Alendil, while Sylmirie looked more like her mother.

The two sisters grew up very priviledged. Their parents schooled them in the ways of magick. They were brought up with everything they could possibly need and were taught the ways of the Altmer. They were taught to appreciate the Altmer culture, how perfect and beautiful it was, and how their race was the preferred one above all the rest in Tamriel. Sylmirie, with looks almost identical to her mother, was very popular. She always braided the sides of her blonde locks, and her cat-like green eyes held a deeply wise sparkle. She had the same moon shaped face as her mother, pink full lips, and a haughty coolness. She always had a serious look on her face, as if she were constantly trying to understand something. She had a sarcastic demeanor, and a personality typical of many Altmer: conceited and sharp. From a very young age, Sylmirie showed great talent and promise with her magickal abilities, the like of which her parents had not seen. She learned very quickly and excelled in her studies. Sylmirie was also very curious and read many books. Sylmirie was raised around the Thalmor, which she secretly hated. She disagreed with the idea of Elven supremacy, and their rude, cocky attitude turned her stomach. She kept all of these thoughts to herself, as she knew there was no one she could really trust. Her sister, Lilliana, was quite fond of the Thalmor. There was an unsettling jealousy between the two sisters. Lilliana, instead of admiring her sister's talents, despised them. Being the younger sister by about 10 years, there was much she felt she had to catch up to. What she did not understand was that Sylmirie had a soul which was not that of a regular mortal's. She had a soul which gave her great power, a power that many would be afraid of. Lilliana allowed her jealousy of Sylmirie to distance her from her sister, and finally, one day, there came a breaking point.

A Thalmor wizard by the name of Narien, had taken a strong interest in Sylmirie. He wanted to marry her, but she dismissed his advances. When her parents stepped in, things got serious. Her parents insisted that she would marry Narien, and that was to be the end of it. Sylmirie fought her parents with her strong spirit, but the threat of being exiled from her home was too great. Lilliana, who was secretly in love with Narien, grew even more hatred and rage towards her "perfect" sister. She vowed to destroy Sylmirie. Lilliana also hated her mother, a woman she noticed had a grace that other Altmer flocked to. Lilliana secretly hired a Bosmer that worked for her father to follow her mother around. Some several days later, the Bosmer came to Lilliana with news that satisfied her. Her mother, Elmirie, had been having an affair with another Thalmor agent. From what the Bosmer discovered in Elmirie's files, the affair had pre-dated her and Sylmirie. In fact, Sylmirie was not Alendil's child. Lilliana immediately told her father about this, and a huge mess arose. Alendil, shattered by his wife's betrayal, ordered her arrest and that of her lover's. He called off Sylmirie's engagement to Narien, and with Lilliana by his side, he called Sylmirie into his study quarters. There, he told her she was not his child, that she had been conceived from impurity, that she was no longer welcome in his home, and that she must die.

To Sylmirie's horror, her own father and sister turned against her and tried to kill her. She
blocked their magick spells with her ward and shot fire back at them. She knew she had to leave or else she would die. Sylmirie ran for her life. With merely her mage robes and a small amount of
gold and food in her satchel, she fled. She knew she would not be able to take any gold or inheritance with her that she once thought she was had. Not knowing where to turn, or where her mother had been taken, Sylmirie somehow made it out of Alinor. She knew her father would send the Thalmor after her. She was a [&@%!]. Her whole life had been a lie. And it was at that moment, that extreme hatred against the people who had done her injustice arose. She hated her parents, her sister, the Thalmor. She had been created into something which she could not be now. How dare they take away everything?!

Knowing she she could not trust anyone within her circle, Sylmirie found herself making
arrangements to leave Summerset Isles through random stranger encounters. She went first to
Cyrodiil, but finding that the Thalmor were well set in the Imperial city and fearing for her life,
Sylmirie fled north to Skyrim. As she was trying to cross the border, she was caught in an Imperial ambush with the Stormcloaks. The Imperials took everything she had on her, including her expensive mage robes, and gave her rags. Sylmirie fought her tears hard the night before her execution. She had done nothing wrong...and then, she started to slowly realize that although she was pure Altmer, her birth had been false. According to Alendil, her father, she had not deserved all that he had given her. She knew that her family's strict cultural and political views were mostly due to influence from the Thalmor. In a way, she was relieved she would not have to marry a Thalmor. She would rather die. But she did not die that fateful day. As her carriage drove past Elenwen and the Thalmor present at the execution site in Helgen, she gave them a look of hatred. She vowed to never be like them. A dragon attacked Helgen that day, and her life was spared. Knowing her talents in magick, Sylmirie asked about where she could learn more magick, and was guided by several people to the College of Winterhold. She made it there on foot, collecting alchemy ingredients and making potions for gold along her journey. At the College, she found refuge. There were other Altmer there, but they were nothing like the ones back home. There was one Thalmor agent, Ancano. But as he was outnumbered, Sylmirie did not fear him. Instead, she mocked him whenever she could. Ancano was rude to her at first, but as her mockeries grew to embarrass him, he shyed away from her. A surprise to the rest of the members of the College.

Through several events, Sylmirie's talents at the college were noticed. She was especially noticed by one Nord student, Onmund. He started out slowly speaking to her, as he noticed her hostility and coldness at first. Her first thought of him was "A Nord mage? Ha!" But Onmund had a sweetness to him, and a friendly, respectful demeanor. They slowly became friends, and eventually shared a few conversations in the courtyard. Angry at her own people, Sylmirie opened up to the Nord. He listened to her with an open heart. Just a few short months before, she never would have thought of even directing her speech at a human. Now, she noticed she was growing comfortable with him, and she eventually told him of the extreme Thalmor presence in Alinor. If you were not on the side of the Thalmor, you were not welcome. She explained to Onmund how she had to fake her dislike of the Thalmor, her family's betrayal against her, and how she was not whom she had thought she was. He offered kindness to her, a welcoming spirit she had never received from even her own parents. He also had been mistreated and shunned by his family, so through this, a bond between them was born. As their friendship progressed, Sylmirie began to notice warm feelings towards the Nord. She was angry at herself at first, but eventually gave in. She had already been ruthlessly exiled from her beloved homeland, and the purity of her blood no longer
mattered. She married the Nord, and adventures with him to this day. In Skyrim, Sylmirie has grown to understand the power that her family had never understood. She is Dragonborn, and this is why what seems easy to learn for her, is not for others. She is starting to believe that she was meant to come to Skyrim, even if it meant that her life in Summerset has been erased. She is now Archmage of Winterhold, a prestigious title and honor that Auriel has blessed her with. Since her arrival in Skyrim and all the events that have revealed Sylmirie's deep powers to her, she has grown even more resentful of her family and the Thalmor. She is angry that she cannot share her experiences with her family...or those she thought were her family. She has grown colder, and fights the urge to kill the Thalmor she runs into around Skyrim. She knows she has to keep her composure because of the high position she holds now. Darkness is beginning to consume her, a darkness that most would consider dangerous. As Dragonborn, she has a hero's responsibility to the land that she strongly weighs in against her hatred and rage of those that have wronged her. She wants revenge and knows the best way to get it is to become more powerful in her magickal talents. She has become hungry in her search for power. She knows not many have the ability to defeat her. Only time will tell where Sylmirie's story will eventually end up, and whether or not she will allow her hatred to get the best of her.

This is the link to my assassin's backstory found on the very awesome assassin thread:

Ha!" They slowly became friends, and eventually shared a few conversations in the courtyard. Angry at her own people, Sylmirie opened up to the Nord.
Only time will tell where Sylmirie's story will eventually end up, and whether or not she will allow her hatred to get the best of her.

cool story, dovahkiin. I've got to make my warrior character's story soon. He's actually already has decent equipment, for level 7. Skyforge steel greatsword with full companions wolf armor, all superior. At level 7 my first character was so much worse but now I have experience.
