Hey, Wardo! Welcome to the forums!

Right now we're trying to guess philfredobob's riddle, and we try to focus on only one riddle at a time for clarity's sake. If you win this round, though, you can ask one!

If it helps, you're allowed to poke around on the wiki. That's why we ask them as riddles rather than just trivia questions.

And philfredobob, I think we need another hint. I'm pretty much out of ideas.

Glenmoril Coven.

You chop off the heads of all the witches there and carry them with you, fits with the last line. Philfredobob mentioned that one of the guesses was geographically close; that would be Twilight Sepulcher. Coven = witches = magic. Not sure about the first line, but I remember thinking this dungeon was rather darker than normal.

it is dark in this location
a big magical hole
it is a mage Cave, of which there are many in-game
when sent here at some point
a quest will send you here, and the following line only occurs during this quest. that quest being ''Bloods Honour''
despite being chopped, Heads will not Roll
when the heads of the Glenmoril Witches are chopped, they move immediatley into your inventory and are not seen on the floor ''rolling''

Cool! My other thought was Dawnstar Sanctuary, because of the quest 'Where You Hang Your Enemy's Head', but it didn't fit the 'magical' part as well.

Riddle! An easy one, I think.
