Alright, this is probably me just asking too many questions, but I am kind of new to the riddle thingy here. I don't know how many questions are acceptable, feel free not to answer it.

I was wondering if the three first words were being used as adjetives or nouns.

By the way, Hircine is of or resembling a goat...

Two thoughts:

Cow - Horse - Wolf / Dog sounds like the code for a Nordic Rune Lock. I checked the Dragon Claws, but none of them use this combination that I can see.

Also - Whiterun has a banner of a horse. Solitude has the emblem of a wolf. I just can't work out cow if this is the trick.
