This could be easy or hard, depending on how you analyze it.

Agh, I was thinking that. It's the part where he says 'I too view water'. It didn't quite fit.

So my first thought was that it was Skyrim in general, and each stanza referred to a different hold, but there are nine holds in skyrim and only eight objects being referred to. My next thought was the eight Divines, but I don't think

actually is it the Divines? The part about not being able to speak made me wonder... I need to do some more thinking anyway, I hate it when I get my teeth into something and can't quite work it out.

I am thinking maybe Atmora.

On a side note, a riddle shouldn't have more than one answer.

Yeah it can. It shouldn't be ambiguous of course, but as long as there are different stanzas referring to separate subjects, it is fine.

I'm giving this one to you, Tom. See, when I made this riddle, my plan was to list all of the holds. However, I must have forgotten one in my list, making it more difficult if you had the idea of the Holds from the beginning, but were put off by the 8 and not 9 stanzas. So yes, it is the holds, and here is the explanation:

I am the holder of conflict, = Eastmarch
that keeps the flame lit.

I hold a ruin, as well as an event = Falkreath Hold
That some consider a landmark.

I hold a kingdom, of fog and ice. = The Rift
That is, if you can get here.

I am a battlefield of icons, = Whiterun Hold
Where everyone fights.

I am the viewer of oceans, = Winterhold
The only sight to see here.

I too view water, = The Pale
Though not quite in that degree of magnitude.

Just to let you guys know, these may not be the right answers to each line, since it seems I must have used the same hold twice. Sorry for the confusion guys, I hope it didn't mix you guys up too much.
