Yeah, that makes sense. I though it looked too cartoon-ish to be for Skyrim, but I guess it's just a teaser image so it doesn't have to look amazingly detailed.

Changed title "Info on next DLC from latest patch" to "Next DLC Discussion" upon release of the following picture:

Edit: Which is completely a Falmer mask he's wearing. Discuss.

EDIT II: Bethesda is going to release a Dragonborn trailer monday. Exciting!

It is similar to a falmer mask... but its shiny and slightly different with an attached robe set. Since they too enjoy making helmets out of weird things, I believe its a Telvanni Helm similar to their arachnid helm mixed with a falmer charus style.

That would also be nice. They were sadly underdeveloped in Skyrim, I feel.

I reckon it's to do with Hermaeus Mora. There are too many tentacles on that mask for it not to be.

Dragons, spears, mounted casting and Solstheim, one of my favorite locations in TES games, cherry on top they will include the Telvanni, my most favorite Dunmer clan...I cant wait for this expanison.

Still one thing keeps returning to my mind every time I hear the word Telvanni. What did you need to reach their towers?

Yeah, good call, Levitate! Now if that spell makes it in the game the DLC will pay off from this alone. I know that there are versions of it in the mod community but come on, Levitate, one of the most cool spells in the TES games...that would be awesome...

I'm still going with Dragon priest.

-The mask's eye holes are the exact same as the other dragon priest masks
http://images.uesp.net/a/a4/SR-item-Konahrik.jpg

-The mask's horns are exactly like Dragon's horns, the upper ones are more straight, while the lower are more curved
http://images.uesp.net/f/f8/SR-creature-Dragon_01.jpg

-The eagle like things on his shoulders look like the dragon priest shoulder parts
-His scale armor looks like Dragon priests scale armor

The DLC files hint that the towers have their own internal levitation parts, you wont be getting a spell for it.

Well at least my fantasies soared for a minute or two :)

Now that I think of it I have done so much dragon riding and flying in the last six years of WoW that it has to be either well done or memorable to make it awesome for me. Still I am a die hard fan of flying around so it should prove a nice diversion to the otherwise boring Skyrim metagame after my 400+ hours of it.

Second thing that I hope will be included in the DLC are some new spells. Destruction can get a bit boring after several hours of Fire Bolt machine gun dualcasting, same can be said for the other spell categories. Apart from offensive and defensive spells we could really use some "fun" spells that will help us exploring Skyrim.

That's why the Wabbajack is always the first thing I get while playing a mage. :P

Someone told me there was some leaked info about a name (Miiraak) that sounds like it's in Dovah, and someone managed to translate it to "Portal" using the Dovah translation key on the wiki. Could this be the name of a Dragon Priest? Could he guard a portal, similar to the one that Kahkriin guarded? Could the tentacles on the helmet indicate this Dragon Priest or perhaps the Dragon he serves is a Hermaeus Mora worshiper? Could Thartaag the World Devourer be associated with all this? We'll learn eventually.

I like this idea. A sort of gatekeeper to Hermaeus Mora's realm as Nahkriin.

We can't have levitation because that would require opening up the cities on the mainland. I don't know about you but unless it's more efficient than the open cities mod, that would destroy my computer.

Miraak means 'portal'? *looks up Hermaeus Mora's realm* An endless library, huh? I could do with one of those to complete my 2920 collection. Joking aside, if this library contains all the forbidden knowledge of the universe (as well as all the regular knowledge, what with it being endless and all) then perhaps we're searching there to find out something about the Dragonborn? Maybe it's the only place that contains the location of another Dragonborn, or some information on a previously unknown power or shout?

does anyone else think the unknown guys helm looks kinda like the forsworn headress for men?
http://images.uesp.net/3/3c/SR-item-For ... r_Male.jpg

And like the Falmer's helm, which has already been pointed out

This guy is a dragon priest 100%... the only question i have is why does his armor look so 'young', for lack of a better word, compared to the rusty and deteriorated uniforms of the other Dragon Priests?

I'm sticking with my previous idea that this guy found this mask, or it was given to him, and he was inspired to or driven to start reforming the Ancient Dragon Cult to worship the returning dragons... that's the best ive got. Maybe we use Herm's library to learn about the mask and the powers it gives him? Either way i am sensing this guy has some major Dragon stuff going on.

EDIT: i just thought of something.... what if... what if this masked guy is the leader of some sort of Dragon riding clan? or a solo Dragon rider? That would explain the dragonmount codes, the shiny armor, the dragon priest look... and the reason that he is significant... of course im out on a limb here.

Also, if his name means portal, that could explain the mouth design, which looks like the symbol for "Oblivion" and looks like a portal to oblivion.

I imagine this guy is a dragon priest, named Miraak, and that he is a master of the thu'um and becomes our mentor of a sorts, or just a really powerful dragon priest who can shout, or possibly even dragonborn aswell (though unlikely), perhaps the tentacle-like appendages are meant to represent the thu'um? My reason for this is the depiction of dragon shouts on Alduin's wall. Though a priest converted to Herma-Mora makes sense too.

OR... The tentacles are a design that just looked cool and is there solely for aesthetic purposes! Yes, i think i will go with that.

Like i said above, if Miraak means portal, i think the design on his mouth is of an oblivion gate... But yeah i was also thinking that the 'tentacles' were closer to the akaviri symbol for shout.

Falmer.

Similar, but the falmer is more organic, the new mask is made from steel, not parts of a charus- it is much more elegant and better designed. Also, notice the eye shape on the mask- identical to dragon priest masks, the half-closed sort of look, and notice the shoulderpads, replicas of the dragon head stone statues you will find in nordic ruins. Lastly, notice the arms- covered in steel scales- very draconic dont you think? And the overall silhouette, disregarding the mask, is of the pulled-up robe style of the dragon priests. I dont think this is falmer, it only resembles some of the same aspects... probably a coincidence.

Yeah, Falmer it is. But why in Solstheim?

You do realize that it's entirely possible the Falmer are less "extinct" on Solstheim, don't you?
