Carlovac Townway/2920? Throughout all 10 books, there is mystery, romance, blood, and some of it is written from the perspective of (self-made) gods--Vivec, Sotha Sil, and Almalexia. And they are "annals", because they are also historical records/accounts of the last year of the first era.

Edit: Carlovac Townway is the author of 2920, of course. :)

I can't help but think this has something to do with Calcelmo and his role in the book of love quest. Calcelmo is a writer of annals (the Dwarves series of books), although I can't work out "Thinker of the gods". The tale could be the love poem he gets Yngvar the Singer to write...

I honestly didn't think the riddle would prove difficult to solve :? - but here comes a new hint:
If you were to capitalize one of the words in the riddle, it would prove the proverbial piece of cake. :wink:
