There are plenty of headless pictures but not enough pictures of dragons in here. So take that, Mirmulnir! (It was so hard to time anything right for that epic slash to the nose...better luck next dragon, I suppose.)

The irony here is that I've only gotten one decapitation in 120 hours of playing.

Night time is the right time...

While I hate how the magical effect of an enchanted weapon ruins the immersion of a Lethality! scene, the one in yours is remarkably good because it suggests that your victim was actually a cyborg sent from the future.

Also this. I don't know which moon that is but WHY IS IT ENTIRELY BLACK.

I dunno. But apparently the reason is because mine stole all of yours' light.

I'd read about the Daylight bug for Blackreach, but had not experienced it until last night. Wild!

Darn you, player! Didn't I tell you I had vertigo?!

It's funny, my Nord character looks somewhat like Robert Patrick. Nice picture, by the way. I never seem to see the aurora unless I fiddle around with the console. Do you only see it when you're high up in the mountains or is it random?

I've seen it a few times around Whiterun, so no. Pretty sure it's random.

@ Nanza: This Argonian of your is made of awesome! The expression in the second screenshot made me smile. :P

Wonder where extra shadows came from?

Lake Ilinalta

The fading moon

Azura, guide me through the tempest!

The Lady of twilight

Gazing from underwater

Enchanted by evenfall

From ice floe to ice floe

Lessons of magic

Wow, Argonanza---that last one could be your new avatar. Speaking of which, it's about time for me to

a) make that scimitar-wielding Khajiit rogue I've been thinking about.

b) update my avatar to dragonscale armor and arch-mage robes. Hmm...

No, they are giant mushrooms. First time I went down to Blackreach, I thought they were some giant jelly fish at first, but they are actually giant fungi, for looks only.

Great shots everyone :)

I've been poking around in some Nordic Ruins.

^Possibly one of my most favourite screenshots I've ever taken.

Since last time I posted I've installed a shader injector which I am now in love with. The pictures on the mod's page really don't do it justice IMO.

That's stunning, as always! The Jakarius classics. :)

Ok so maybe I'm not Dovahkiin but you all seem to think I have the gift of virtual photography :P .

Jakarius' pro-tip: Experimentation, and console commands.

I always do:
1) Find good/interesting location
2) Find something to exploit in the location (enemy, interesting landscape feature, oddly shaped rock, waterfall etc)
3) Character pose, lack of any animation mods like that brilliant dancing one from Oblivion means I've just been doing power attacks, normal attacks, bow drawing and the like.
4) Apply "tfc 1" (do this in 3rd person or your character is invisible) and "tm" in the console to freeze the action and get rid of the HUD.
5) To find interesting poses try doing "tfc 1" at the very start of a power attack, or just after swinging a sword, or just after firing that arrow.

I'm basically just freezing animations at all the places you wouldn't normally expect/notice and sometimes it creates interesting effects.
And of course this whole process in my head is really just "Oh look cool place, find pose, pause action, take." :)

I just had a thought, the rule of thirds would apply for taking screenshots :P
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rule_of_thirds

If you want to see some REALLY cool screenshots have a look at the image section on the Skyrim Nexus, crazy stuff going on there.

@ Jakarius: Everything you said is applicable but still talent is needed to make a perfect capture (regarding the composition, the plot, and the humour, which is also very important). :)
@ AKB: That's super! The quality is great. :)

He's coming out of the fog, he's gonna get you! Love this one.

@Nanza, For some reason this brought on my smile usually reserved for videos of kittens.

@Gideon, The second one, looking very deep and thoughtful there :)

I'm just wondering how I managed to cut through my dragonscale gauntlets with that wussy iron dagger that I didn't know I had.

Healing hands

Beacon in the snow

When I first met Ancano, his attitude uncannily reminded me of Lucius Malfoy, so I was prompted to make a little crossover. :P

Casual question
