Fixed that for you. :)

Marilyn (II) raided Ilinalta's Deep in search of Azura's Star and found it after helping numerous necromages to experience death first-hand. She also found an insanely good sword (Azurbrand from Jaysus Swords) which has even better base damage than her Nightingale blade but still will end up on a weapon plaque instead of being used because it happens to have a straight blade and Mari is partial to currved sworrds (I have a mod that changes the Nightingale blade to a katana, in case you were wondering); she also likes to wear Redguard clothes, but that's about it.

Among-the-Hist was left behind for the duration because he managed to get lost on the way (seriously, he makes a strong bet for qualifying as the most incompetent follower I've had up to now) - which was just as well, because Mari is at her deadliest alone (I sort of dread the time when she'll have to team up with everybody's favourite Daughter of Coldharbour). She wasn't really sure if she was ever going to see him again until she found him next morning having breakfast with the fisherwoman at the western end of Lake Ilinalta where he had apparently waited for her with an air of "Now you've done whatever you've been doing in those flooded ruins can we please carry on?" And there I was thinking he might actually like it down there where everything was wet, being an Argonian and all that...

Malandor, bosmer assassin

- Went after his khajit mark. Found him outside Whiterun and climbed to the guard tower to take a sneak shot. The actual shot went well, but he was spotted when he left and rest of the khajit caravan chased him. All they way to Whiterun. Malador had nothing against them and didn't want to fight them. He managed to yield in the end and they gave up chase.
- Since he was in Whiterun, he went after Anoriath. But first he tested his ability to get an undetected sneak shot (from the roof of guard barrack btw) in the city. He used the Alik'r warriors as target practise. That didn't go well, he ended up having to surrender to guards and pay a bounty of 1000 golds.
- After convincing Mikael to leave Carlotta alone, he simply walked into Drunken Huntsman in the middle of the night, went to Anoriath's room, closed the door after him and stabbed him. Then he walked out and traded with Elrindir! Afterwards people made comments about his bad breath....
- It was time to return to Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary and report in for Astrid and Nazir.
- Astrid send him to crash a certain wedding party and crash he did (literally) with a stone statue on the poor bride. He waited inside the Temple of Divines until the commotion died down (discuised as priest (wearing hooded monk robes and amulet of Mara)). He didn't leave until he had picked up the Firiniel's End-bow he didn't use after all, oh and he took souvernirs...Vittoria Vici's wedding dress, wreath etc.
- Next stop Mortal and of couse, _two_ dragons spawned to attack the town. That took some killing. Poor Lami was killed.
(You're right, Finn, I should stop fast travelling.)

- Malandor headed north from Mortal, following the river. He got into disagreements with cave bears...his arguments were both sharp and slicy, taking the point home. Found the Brood Cavern he was looking for. Didn't go in yet.

Sylmirie (Altmer conjurer) and loverboy Aicantar cleaned the Reach of Forsworn. Somewhere along the way, they spotted a bear and so Sylmirie decided to avoid a confrontation by climbing over some rocks. Aicantar did his own thing and the bear attacked him. Stupid. Sylmirie thoroughly enjoyed watching the battle from afar.

Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage, with Annekke Crag-Jumper, Nord Crag-Jumper:
1. Liberated Whiterun. With the Dragonborn and her dragon Odahviing on their side, the Stormcloaks easily crushed the defenses.
2. Liberated Falkreath and some Stormcloak prisoners, and found that Slowing Time helps her aim in these fast-paced battles.
3. Checked in on Whiterun to see how the rebuilding was going.

Long version
Spoiler:
Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage, and her adviser Annekke Crag-Jumper, Nord Crag-Jumper, left Windhelm and spent the next couple of days traveling to the Whiterun Stormcloak camp. They were to help Galmar and his troops liberate Whiterun. Along the way, I think they had a conversation that went something like this:

Annekke: You mentioned there being a dragon that's loyal to you...
Jess: Yes. Odahviing, the dragon we trapped in Dragonsreach. He said he would be loyal. But Paarthy says never trust a dragon.
Annekke: Paarthy?
Jess: Paarthurnax.
Annekke: Do you think Odahviing would fight in the battle for us?
Jess: I haven't tested him, and I don't know what he would do if I called him back to Whiterun. He might turn against everybody.
Annekke: Nevermind, then. It's too risky.

They arrived at the camp, where Galmar was delivering a rousing speech (though a bit long-winded considering all the flaming projectiles falling around them). On Annekke's advice, Jess stood by Galmar's side during the speech, to further inspire the troops. But the speech inspired Jess, as well, and the instant Galmar finished, Jess called Odahviing.

Jess ran into battle near the forefront of the attack. My how a minor accomplishment like saving the world has helped her confidence. Odahviing flew over as they approached the barricades, landed amongst the defenders, and began burning and mauling them. One can imagine the effect on the defenders' morale to see that the Stormcloaks had, not only the Dragonborn, but also a dragon on their side. It took the pressure off the approaching Stormcloaks, and they easily made their way to the drawbridge. When Jess opened the drawbridge, Odahviing was already fighting on the other side. Jess saw him chomp an Imperial general as she ran to the city gate.

Inside the city, Jess and Annekke sniped Imperials and guards as the Stormcloaks made their way to Dragonsreach. Jess and the gang (long time no see, Ralof, though Jess left Helgen with Hadvar) entered Dragonsreach, beat Balgruuf and Irileth into submission, and the battle was over. Vignar soon entered, and assumed control.

Outside, the city was damaged but Jess saw that Jorrvaskr and the Temple of Kynareth were untouched. Jorrvaskr was locked, as was every other building she tried. No one was out and about - except Carlotta and Mila Valentia, oddly.

Jess and Annekke spent the next few days: Traveling back to Windhelm to report to Ulfric (who gave her a Daedric Sword of the Inferno to hang on her wall); fighting a dragon outside Windhelm; checking in at Darkwater Crossing; and making their way to the next objective, Falkreath. They spent the night at Nilheim before traveling to the Falkreath Stormcloak Camp to receive orders from Galmar.

Jess met Ralof near Fort Neugrad. He mentioned being haunted by those he had killed, and Jess reassured him that only a beast kills without feeling. Jess was supposed to sneak into the fort and release some prisoners before the assault, but ironically, failed the sneaking part miserably. Somehow, they saw her coming from a long way off. So it became a straight-up battle, not Jess's favorite thing, so she tried something new, the Slow Time shout. The shout helped her distinguish friend from foe as she sniped with the Gauldur Blackbow. They defeated the Imperials, released the prisoners, and didn't lose a single Stormcloak. While checking the Imperial bodies, Jess noted that some of them were wearing amulets of the Divines, including Dibella and Kynareth. She had not seen that on the Imperials that had fallen in previous battles. Such a shame.

Before reporting back to Ulfric, Jess detoured to Whiterun to check on her friends and on the condition of the city. There was still damage, but Vignar had been efficient about cleaning up most of the mess. She spoke with numerous citizens (almost everybody), some of whom had interesting things to say about the battle and its aftermath. She could not locate Severio Pelagia, however, and his house had been badly damaged. Heimskr's house had been destroyed, too, but he cared not, instead praising Talos and all the Divines for the liberation.

Jess and Annekke stayed the night at Breezehome, where Balgruuf's presence lingered in the form of his spy, Lydia.

Malandor, Bosmer assassin:
- explored Brood Cavern which turned out to be water filled bear den. He found fine-cut void salt for Captain Wayfinder.
- Delivered the void salts to the captain. Got thaned. Took Gregor with him.
- After selling loot in Whiterun, he and Gregor entered Fort Greymoor. Killed several bandits and one old woman. Malandor didn't even feel like exploring the whole fort. Then after brief shopping trip to Falkreath, he dismissed Gregor and returned to Dark Brotherhood. Even Nazir didn't have any amusin puns this time.
- Got his next assignment.

Tero Indarys, dunmer knight:
- Trapped Odahviing and got a ride to Skuldafn.
- Did lot of killing (and was killed once when two Draugr deathlords and scrouge draugr mopped floor with him). Was saved by level up once.
- Almost reached the end of Skuldafn Temple.

I felt like playing Skyrim for the first time in forever, so I returned to Sa'Zyrr. She really didn't do too much. I fought a bunch of dragons (and forgot that I was a full stage four vampire with 100% fire weakness, which made the battle with one or two of them rather interesting) and cleared a couple of dungeons. That was it. No questing or anything. Just dragon slaying.

Marilyn (II), Among-the-Hist and Meeko spent a few days in and around Solitude - Hist chatting with Gulum-Ei over drinks at the Skeever, Mari and Meeko splitting their time between hunting in the daytime and doing various Thieves Guild jobs at night. The hunting was because she needed two deer hides in order to craft herself a portable tanning rack (Portable Campsite mod); given how frequently I bump into deer when travelling it's remarkable how elusive they can be when you go searching after them... Mari also killed a Traveling Dignitary who was the target of a Dark Brotherhood contract - slit her throat in the shadow of the big gate of Castle Dour; the two Imperial guards at the door across the courtyard saw her, but with Meeko's help they were silenced before they could alert anybody else.

On the way home to the Dawnstar Sanctuary they detoured to Eldersblood Peak and killed the dragon residing there for Idgrod Ravencrone's bounty. Unfortunately Mari was disarmed by the worm at one point and thus lost her crossbow (again...), but with a reward of 3000,- septims she's not complaining.

Sylmirie killed a room full of cannibals and saved a priest's life. All in a day's work.

Delia-Jessamine "Bone-Breaker" Maric, Breton stealth-mage, with Annekke Crag-Jumper, Nord crag jumper:
1. Was encouraged by Ulfric to buy a house in Windhelm, but she doesn't have time for that right now. Gotta win the war first.
2. Freed a prisoner-in-transit from some Imperial soldiers. First time she's done that.
3. Got new orders from Galmar and did the quest "A False Front (Stormcloaks)".
4. Pickpocketed an Imperial courier. All that training Jess bought from Silda the Unseen also bought the courier his life.
5. Got a dog named "Meeko".

Long version. Contains spoilers for quest mentioned above.
Spoiler:
Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage, and her adviser Annekke Crag-Jumper left Whiterun for Windhelm in the wee hours. At the Weynon Stones, they prayed to Talos. They also heard a dragon roar but did not see it. Later, they killed a frost troll and then saw another one killed by Khajiit merchants. Otherwise, the trip was uneventful.

At the Palace of the Kings, Ulfric gave the petite Breton a new nickname: "Bone-Breaker." He also encouraged her to buy a house in Windhelm, but at the moment, Jess's only concern is winning the war as quickly as possible.

Ulfric told Jess to report to Galmar again, this time in Hjaalmarch. I wish he'd get around to liberating The Pale so Skald might stop insulting Jess for her treachery during Season Unending. Anyway, she and Annekke left immediately. They slept a while at the Nightgate Inn.

They left again in the wee hours, Jess wearing her furs because she isn't as cold-tolerant as these Nords. They came across a group of Imperials leading a prisoner. The last time they encountered such a group, they were constrained by politics and did nothing. This time, however, they could take action. They passed the group and waited for them to approach. Jess summoned the duo responsible for most of her bone-breaking, her Dremora Lords, then readied her rarely-used Paralyze spell.

"You're interfering with Imperial business. Move along," said the lead soldier, who mistakenly thought his uniform gave him authority in this situation. Jess ran to the prisoner, cut his bindings with a tempered-steel dagger (she always carries one for freeing prisoners from Thalmor), gave him the dagger and a healing potion (she's quick), and the fight was on. Jess paralyzed the nearest soldier, and drew her elven dagger. Her daedra were already cutting down two of the soldiers while Annekke fired arrows into the paralyzed one from her standpoint on a small knoll. The fight was brief and Jess did not bloody her dagger. The freed prisoner ran off without saying "thanks". Jess took the weapons from the dead soldiers but left them in their armor. She did not want to leave them naked and undignified.

They passed Mzinchaleft, which Jess and Annekke had explored together in a previous adventure. Further along, they heard the sound of a dragon. This one had no regard for the Way of the Voice, so they had to kill it.

At the Stormcloak camp, Jess traded with the Quartermaster, an attractive Nord woman. She tempered two more steel daggers, for future prisoner-freeing. Then she got her new mission from Galmar: Steal some documents from an Imperial courier and return them to him. She could potentially find the courier in Dragon Bridge or Rorikstead. Hmmm. Dragon Bridge would be quicker. They left, traveling through a part of Hjaalmarch Jess had never been in, and discovering a village called Stonehills. They spent the night in Morthal and left again in the wee hours.

Along the way to Dragon Bridge, they heard a dragon roar and saw it circling Eldersblood Peak. It was quite beautiful to see it silhouetted against the blue-green aurora. Later, they sneaked past the now-Imperial controlled Fort Snowhawk (at least they kicked out the necromancers), and decided against killing an Imperial nobleman and his guard. Annekke thought it best to keep a low profile during this mission.

It was dawn when they arrived at the Four Shields Inn. Jess bribed the innkeep Faida for information on the courier. Faida said they might find the courier somewhere on the road to Rorikstead, or they could wait for his return. Jess didn't want to wait, so they left. They might as well have waited though, because he ran by them soon after. They went back to the Four Shields. Annekke waited outside.

Inside, Jess wandered around a bit, then sneaked behind the courier when nobody was looking and pickpocketed the documents off of him. All those thousands of septims paid to Silda the Unseen had bought the courier his life. Along the way to the Stormcloak camp, they saved a Dunmer farmer from a mudcrab. Ironically, he then said he was going to Solitude to join the Legion. They spared him. If a mudcrab was giving him problems...

More interestingly, Jess saw a familiar shack in the woods off of the road. She had been there once long ago, and wondered about something... yes, Meeko was still living there, but he was glowing green as if under a spriggan's spell. The dog didn't attack them, though. The two women looked around outside, but could not find a spriggan. When they returned, the spell had worn off, anyway.

Though she had previously left Meeko to his own devices, Jess now wanted to keep him. Annekke had no opinion on the matter. Jess asked the dog to come with them, and he followed.

Back at the camp, Galmar altered the documents, and asked Jess to deliver them to the Legate in Morthal. So back to Morthal. Jess had never been in Highmoon Hall, though she had met Idgrod Ravencrone at a Thalmor party. Very awkward, and Jess worried Idgrod might recognize her. She asked Annekke to watch Meeko by the door and she quickly found the legate. The gullible legate believed Jess was an Imperial soldier traveling incognito, and gave her 5 septims to buy a drink at the Moorside Inn. Jess said thanks and left quickly.

Jess had never seen Imperials hanging out in the Moorside Inn, so she, Annekke, and Meeko went for that drink.

Aarah's log, 11th of Mid year

Hidden:
Found a sunken shipwreck deep underwater. Was too deep and dark to find with holding the breath, but I remembered that I had a water breathing spell, so I used that. Managed to get inside the ship, but could hardly see a thing, so got stuck in there. Left the wreck alone in the end, might go back if I come across a 'see in the dark' spell or something. (Plus it was damn scary swimming about in the pitch black).

Bought a bunch of new spells at the CoW, my new additions being: blizzard, lightning storm, ebonyflesh, detect dead and close wounds.

Went with Onmund to Dead Man's Respite to find King Olaf's Verse for the Bard's College. Lots of different level draugr in there, aswell as King Olaf deathlord who was high level. He was being attacked by a ghost (Svaknir), Onmund with chain lightning and me with an icy spear staff and his health was still going down really slowly. I ran out of charge on my staff so decided to try out my new lightning storm spell. Wow, that spell is cool! He went down really quickly after that. It does feel like you've just opened bottled lightning though, as it has an 'out of control' giant beam element to it.
Got the Verse that I went for, aswell as learning the second word for the whirlwind sprint shout. There was also some end loot where I snagged a snazzy Elven helmet that decreases destruction spell cost by 20%. This means that I now have enough magicka for the fire storm and blizzard spells that were previously too costly to cast (unless I wore my other enchanted helmet, which wasnt as good).

Returned to the Bard's college and helped Viarmo with the verse to perform to the Jarl. She liked it and so allowed the ritual of burning the King's effigy to take place. Jorn decided to have the cermony there and then, so everyone got up at 2 in the morning to come outside to the courtyard to watch the burning. There were treats laid on, so I had an apple pie, a sweetroll and some spiced wine. The guy from the winking skeever said I could have a meat pie he'd made, but disappointingly he then gave me an apple pie instead. Tut! I still ate it anyway.

After the ceremony (where I became a proper member of the college) I went next door to Proudspire Manor, dumped some stuff, said hello to hubby Marcurio and the went to have some sleep.

Sa'Zyrr continued hunting dragons. She had the unfortunate experience of being assaulted by a fire-breathing Ancient Dragon and a Blackwing Dragon. While the sun was out. To put it bluntly, she got roasted. Multiple times.

She spent a while wandering around Skyrim as well, harvesting ingredients wherever she went. Unfortunately, she didn't make it all the way across Skyrim because I got a little bored again.

I left Tero in Skuldafn to wait a proper, longer playing session.
Picked up Marietta Pelerin instead.

Marietta Pelerin and Lydia:
- she bought some new spells from Faendral and did some alchemy
- sold stuff in Whiterun and delivered mammoth tusk to Ysolda
- Went to Whiteriver Watch to look for Amren's sword. Found lot of bandits and some good loot (like novice robes of conjuration...perhaps it will make possible to her to cast bound bow now.)
- Killed the boss bandit with her mace because she ran out of magic. (does happen a lot since she's low level).

I didn't have time for more.

Sylmirie and her apprentice Onmund went to Solstheim in search of a book for Urag. Turns out it was in Bristleback Cave, the most irritating cave she's ever cleared. Rieklings popping out of barrels, too many smelly boars charging her with their sharp tusks, and a stench of feces so pungent it gave her a headache. Needless to say, she was extremely angry at Urag the entire time. And she had troubles finding the book once things were clear. She gave him a good chewing out when she returned to the college. At least she got some quality boar meat out of it...Sylmirie likes salted boar meat. :)

She then switched apprentices, its now poor Brelynna's turn. The Dunmer's apprenticeship with the Altmer conjurer started out by helping to decorate her luxurious Markarth home.

I killed Eola. After I feasted. Didn't realize I had failed this mission until a couple hours later and had already lost the save from that time. Achievement fail. Wanna cry.

Marietta Pélerin and Lydia
-returned to Whiterun and delivered the sword to Amren, got free lessons
-After good nights sleep in Breezehome, sold loot and shopped the last upgrades for Breezehome.
-Then she and Lydia walked to Falkreath to see what Jarl Siddgeir wants of her. Killed lots of wolves on the way.
- Jarl wanted to her a kill some bandits.(Does he thing she's some sort of mercenary?)
- Marietta was more interested in Shriekwind Bastion, which she explored in wrong order, starting from South-entrance. She was right, the place needed Divines' purging light...lot of skeletons, vampires and draugr to put to eternal rest.
- And while she was at it, killed a necromancer at Falkreath Watch tower.

So I finally got back into the world of skyrim and picked up where I left off with my 2nd character who's in the process of completing Dawnguard. Figured I would save the vampire menace for last  anyways, I spent some time doing quests to get crossbow upgrades, and spent a good 70% of the time making custom gear for my lil reikling follower, Blueberry. He now has fully enchanted, overly tempered beyond normal standards, heavy stalhrim armor. Yeah I know, it doesn't appear on his model, and that's what I want<_< hell be damn if I'm letting another friendly reikling die on my watch. I considered making him a bow, but I love using him as an endless supply of dragonbone arrows.. plus he's only needed for support and picking off canon-fodder.

So a few hours in, on my return trip from a quest, chose to go attack some forsworn just because.. and I just about rage quit. I mean.. [&@%!] dragons.. I don't know what I'm going to do. I killed that lil flying [&@%!], but he bloody killed everything :S so I just went and used an auto save that set me back quiet a bit. And let me say this, Beta rarely will load saves unless the game glitched or he royally [&@%!] up.. and boy was I mad...

I fired my bard today. Made too much annoying noise with the hammer and anvil. Last time I checked. Those are not the instruments I paid him to make noises with.

Delia-Jessamine "Bone-Breaker" Maric, Breton stealth-mage, with Annekke Crag-Jumper, Nord crag jumper, and Meeko, a dog:
1. Liberated Hjaalmarch hold.
2. Is still welcome in Imperial-controlled Dawnstar.
3. Is still paying an Argonian to forget a night to remember.

Long version.
Spoiler:
Delia-Jessamine Maric, Breton stealth-mage, her adviser Annekke Crag-Jumper, and Meeko hung out at the Moorside Inn for a while, then left for the Hjaalmarch Stormcloak camp. It was already after dark and snowing heavily. When they arrived, they spoke with the troops by the fire for a while, then slept in a puptent.

They awoke before dawn, ate breakfast, and got new orders from Galmar: Help take Fort Snowhawk. "It's as good as ours," Jess responded.

Jess told Meeko to wait at the camp until they returned. Along the way, Jess and Annekke had to fight a Khajiit mage that attacked them for no apparent reason.

Approaching Fort Snowhawk, Jess summoned her Dremora. During the battle, she focused on sniping the Imperial archers, using Slow Time to help her aim, and also healed a couple of wounded Stormcloak soldiers. After the battle, Jess gathered weapons from the dead Imperials, and then she and Annekke left.

They returned to the Stormcloak camp, freeing another prisoner from Imperials along the way. The camp had been abandoned, but Meeko had waited dutifully. Unfortunately, he was no help in figuring out where Galmar and the rest had gone to, so they decided to return to Windhelm.

First, Jess wanted to take a detour to see what it's like in Dawnstar under Imperial control. Annekke cautioned against it, but Jess explained that she has friends there, and the townsfolk would not betray her. So they left for Dawnstar. The trip was uneventful.

At Dawnstar, even the Imperial soldiers did not give Jess any trouble. Of course, they may not have known who she was, and she was wearing her furs instead of her Stormcloak curasse. They traded a bit with Rustleif and Seren, but kept the Imperial weaponry they carried, for obvious reasons.

Two ice wraiths showed up in town, and everybody wanted to be a hero, making it impossible for Jess to assist without risk of hitting somebody with her firebolt spell. It didn't stop Annekke from firing arrows into the crowd, though - fortunately, her aim was true and she only hit the ice wraiths.

They went to the Jarl's Longhouse and spoke with Brina and Horik. They know Jess, but acted as if they weren't aware that the Dragonborn had sided with the Stormcloaks, even discussing battle strategy in her presence. Interestingly, Brina sounded as if her loyalty to the Empire was fueled more by habit than by conviction, and Jess overheard Horik speaking to Madena as if he suspects she is a Stormcloak. None of that will matter soon enough.

They spent the night at the Windpeak Inn, where Jess requested that her favorite bard, Karita, sing "Tale of the Tongues". Her rendition was beautiful.

They left Dawnstar the next morning, stopping at the Dibellan shrine south of the town. It had been too long since Jess had been prayed at a shrine of Dibella. After Jess prayed, Annekke, being an adventurer at heart, suggested they take a remote route to Windhelm, through western Winterhold and Wayward Pass (/roleplay - I just wanted to avoid Fort Dunstad).

So they did. Along the way, Meeko saw an ice wraith and killed it by himself. Good dog!

Later, a familiar Argonian ran up to Jess asking for money. Deep-In-His-Cups. Jess partied one night with Sanguine, but pays for it the rest of her life. She paid him 750 septims to leave her alone again for a while. He gave her a hat. He ran off, but later they saw him again near Anga's Mill, where he killed a mudcrab before running off again.

At Windhelm, Jess changed into her black dress and boots, and put on the hat she got from Deep-In-His-Cups to keep the wind off. They went to the market, traded the Imperial weapons to Oengul so he can melt them down for steel, and then had lunch at the Candlehearth.

Sylmirie rarely admits when she meets a good battle match, since its always about winning with her. But the elf Orchendor not only emptied her magicka reserves, but her pride as well. She's back in Markarth allowing Aicantar to nurse her emotional wounds. What a stupid battle that was!

And as for Brelynna...Sylmirie remembers now why she hates that Dunmer with a passion. Talk about being in the way ALL THE DAMN TIME! And those Frost Atronach summons really inconvenienced Sylmirie. Brelynna kept putting her and Aicantar at risk with her reckless magic. So Sylmirie released her in the middle of the Reach at 1am. Hopefully the Forsworn get her.

Yesterday, I did some prep-work on a character that I intend to play at some point in the near future. She's a Bosmer named Larawen, and is intended for the Dark Brotherhood and Civil War (Imperial) questlines. I had been messing around with that character off-and-on for a few months. Last night, the character got the Oghma treatment. She and her follower, Jenassa, finished the "Discerning the Transmundane" quest, fast traveled to Riften/Honeyside, and then I spent the next hour-and-a-half repeating a variant of the process described here:

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim_talk:Oghma_Infinium

It's actually quite a bit of work to use the Oghma exploit to max out a new character. It took me over 20 hours on Apprentice difficulty with no roleplaying. You have to own a house with a bookshelf, which requires becoming a Thane and having money. You also have to be at least level 15 to complete the "Discerning the Transmundane" quest. I was also trying to minimize the character's interaction with the game-world, e.g. NPC's met, locations discovered, etc, so the world will be as fresh as possible when I start playing the character for real.

Now that I know I can get the Oghma exploit to work, I'll probably make another character and send that one through the process, too, because after I install the Legendary edition and update to the latest patch, the Oghma exploit will, unfortunately, be "fixed".

Marilyn (II), Bosmer thief, assassin and amateur dragonslayer in her spare time, Among-the Hist, Argonian vampire hunter, and Meeko, who needs no epithet because you all know and love him,
- cleared Morvunskar because of a Treasure Hunter's Note and found the Imperial Bow of Diminishing mentioned therein ("guarded by a fire mage", understatement of the week) as well as various other lucrative loot;
- spent a few days in Windhelm crafting, trading and (in Mari's case) engaging in nocturnal criminal activities while her partners hung out at Candlehearth Hall;
- spoke to a strangely feeble vampire at the New Gnisis Cornerclub (3DNPC Rinori Imaryn) who Hist thinks can still be cured; at his suggestion Mari pointed her to Falion in Morthal but doubts that she'll work up the gumption to actually go there;
- were travelling south to the Rift along the eastern border of the volcanic tundra when they were attacked by a pack of wolves; which would normally not have been the slightest problem if Meeko hadn't chased the last fleeing wolf further and further into the tundra (while his mistress was screaming "No, Meeko! Don't go there! Not that direction! Bad dog!") until the two of them got the attention of the circling (respawned) dragon of Bonestrewn Crest, forcing Mari to engage the worm in order to save her dog. What followed was a lengthy and rather unpretty fight (thanks to Dragon Combat Overhaul and Requiem joining forces to make life harder) in which Mari was disarmed once or twice and had to retrieve her precious Nightingale bow on the fly while scurrying to dodge the dragon's breath attacks; she still killed the beast, but it was hard work;
- finally arrived in Riften and enjoyed a few days of R'n'R. Mari reported back to Delvin and Vex on a number of Thieves Guild jobs and is now just one special job away from being officially inaugurated as guild master. Furthermore she decided it was high time to look more closely into that whole vampire matter, and Hist fully agreeing with her on that point the two of them went and signed up with the reformed Dawnguard. Isran sent her to investigate some crypt the Vigilants of Stendarr are acting concerned about, and Durak gave her a free new crossbow. Yay!

More RP than actually playing today...

Danae Neryssa and Illia:
- Sold loot and crafted a bit in Markath
- Returned to Lakeview Manor just in time to tell Blaise to go to bed.
- Next day, Danae switched her attire again (this time apprentice robes of conjuration) and worked on the house. Cellar is the only room left to fully furnish. She built shrine to Akatosh...all she has left to do is two more shrines and then the house is ready.
