Looks like you're getting the hang of it, perylousdemon! :D

I have to say, I am really enjoying how my Lenicus looks on the new PC. I never noticed how pretty Skyrim was! I'll have to get into taking some screenshots again, in the proper fashion.

As an aside, do any of you photographers use any ENBs or anything? Do you like them?

I might use an ENB if I feel like taking some special shots for whatever reason. How much I like them depends on the overall effect the different ENB setting gives.
I like The Wilds and ENB Noir, but haven't really used any others. ENB's are usually too hard on my system for me to use for more than a few minutes at a time (and ENB's and MSI don't get along). There are performance ENB's... Actually, I should try looking up a few to see how they work. The problem is that I use Climates of Tamriel and I think the best possible results require an ENB specifically designed for use alongside CoT.

Hm. That and it's been a while since I've last used an ENB and I wonder how Verina would look with one active.
I'm going to go look now. If I find a decent ENB, you can expect to see some shots later.

Hopefully I don't cook my graphics card. Again.

Edit:
Some shots...

Without ENB:
The Bandit
Sunset over Mzinchaleft
Falmer

With ENB:
Nature Walk
Wolf Pack
In Shadow
Darkest Tundra
Sad Giant
Leaping Cat
Feline Attack
Bleakwind Basin
Near Whiterun
The Sword in the Pond
The Pilgrim
The Warrior

What is ENB, anyway? I can see a difference in those shots, but I can't really put my finger on it. Can someone please explain? :|

Copy-pasted from here =P

ENBSeries is a powerful post processing modification tool available for Skyrim and other games. It was developed by Boris Vorontsov; who still maintains and updates the product. This tool enables users to create custom configurations (ENBs) designed to their own specifications by modifying rendering functions and the application of additional effects such as bloom, depth of field, and SSAO. ENBs often enhance overall lighting, colors, and shadows among other aspects of the game, but comes with a performance loss of anywhere between 5% to 50% of your total frames per second (FPS); depending on your hardware setup and the ENB features you use. Most find this loss acceptable compared to the enhancements and features gained from the ENB.

I myself don't use any ENBs because my system wouldn't be able to handle one. I do have browsed through different options for I'm about to get a better graphics card but for me the smooth gameplay is the most important and I pretty much take all my shots randomly during it so I don't like to suffer a performance hit. I would probably aso get annoyed if the ENB, for example, made lightning "too realistic" (which could make dungeons and such very dark and thus hinder my playing). Though I'm sure there's ENBs which are more subtle and suit my tastes but... we'll see. For now it looks like something I'd use during "special photo shoots", not with actual gameplay and since most of my screenshots are taken during gameplay when a sudden opportunity raises then.... yeah =P. But like I said: we'll see once I finally get that new card.

No ENB here either, for about the same reasons Creeper explained, but I use several other mods which improve the look of the game at little or no cost to the framerate. I've just recently switched from Realistic Lighting to Climates of Tamriel, and although I liked RL very very much I haven't regretted the change for a second, CoT is just plain gorgeous. I also use Dynavision for dynamic depth of field (adjustable in game), and for tweaking contrast, colours, bloom etc. there's Imaginator (also adjustable ingame), which works very well with RL, but I haven't tested it with CoT yet so I can't say whether they're compatible.

I don't do ENB either. Actually, I'm turned off by mods for the most part. I prefer the vanilla game in its pure and lovely form. My husband installed a sunset and pure waters mod so besides "Dohvakiin/followers relax" we have no other mods in the game. I was thinking of getting ENB then read it taxes your graphics card so meh...I lost interest.

I like a good action shot every now and then, but I find that the open beauty of Skyrim begs to be photographed more. I like to think of the shots I take as being inspired from a granola/naturalistic sort of view.

Yeah, I heard from a lot of people as well that ENB's tax the graphics card. But Kailay's ENB shots always look awesome. Same with Mauin.

Well, thanks Derp.
I like ENB's, but it's like I (and others) said... They're too hard on the system. You can't normally run an ENB like The Wilds or ENB Noir unless you've got a supercomputer, and from what I've heard, even a GTX 680 4GB can have problems so that's not likely. Besides, you'd likely get an epic headache or something. If you're like me and have sensitive eyes. A little DOF is nice, but too much and I pretty much go cross-eyed.

I did actually use an ENB again today for a few shots. It actually isn't too bad. Nothing over the top (except for the sky; blasts, that's seriously blue), and it's easy on the PC. Maybe lost 5 fps with it running as compared to the 15-20 fps lost with The Wilds and ENB Noir.

The shots:
Ebony Warrior
Dread Knight
Death's Door was literally taken on Death's Door (I think Verina had something like 5 health left).
Totally High
Skyrim on Sleeping Tree Sap
Natural ENB
Daedric Gear
The Watcher
Whiterun
Shrine of Talos
The Dragon Comes
Ready to Fire
Blaze
Mirmulnir and the Nord
Endgame
Dovahkiin I
Dovahkiin II
Blast
Destructive Soul
Vulom is "kind" enough to demonstrate the Tribunal Robes. Which I like... Just not on her.
Vulom also demonstrates a set of earrings. She likes them, even though they're silver.

Huh. I might have to swap out RCRN for CoT. That looks pretty amazing...

Also, my one random shot from today: I'll cut your heart out!

Sorry for how bright it is. I had my night eye spell going... Also, I really hate dwarven armor. Give me my ebony already!

Relaxing in Riverwood Anika finally got rid of that godawful dwarven armor, yay!

Oops... I meant to spawn a new Karinda because my old one bugged out. Except I mistyped a couple numbers, and a word wall appeared in the middle of Falkreath...

I like that first shot :D
Mauin - Ooo those earrings. I have had those for a long time and really like them. Though I must resist the urge to put them on all my characters for an extra enhancement slot =P.
Finn Wolfshorn - Thanks for pointing out Dynavision. Played around with it yesterday . Btw I had an Imaginator in the past but I heard it causes save game bloating. Though maybe it's fixed. I don't know, just wanted to mention.

Battle of mohawks

Mostly by the great Dohvakiin Asul who had an ingenious idea to pop up a Vampire Lord form. Fail.

Kudos for the cold blood to take a shot in that situation, I don't think I could. My method of taking action shots is save, win the fight, save, load first save, take pics, load second save, play on.

Actually, now you mention it, I think it was one of your past posts here that led me to try Imaginator, so I guess we're even :). As for the bloat, I've heard that too. I've been using it for months and the most recent saves for my most played characters (lvl 60 and 81) are around 15 MB, which is still manageable.

Creeper, I'm glad you're back posting pictures. Yours are entertaining.

And because I like posting random pictures:
Spoiler:

Felina Imhatius, Dohvakiin to the public eye, Listener to the Night Mother in her heart and soul. Quiet, cold-hearted snake.

Image
Sylmirie, Dohvakiin and Archmage of Winterhold College. Haughty, sly, quick witted, sarcastic, materialistic...the stuck up Altmer across the street whose kids terrorize the neighborhood.

Oh, please be gentle on these novice screenshots. I did not realize how bad they were. . but I'm new to the whole PC Skyrim thing. Just wanted to share some. (now you see why I will never be called a Skyrim photographer.) They're all resized, don't worry.

Random stuff. .
Spoiler:

Dawnstar stuff. idk.
Image
Bleak falls barrow at an awkward angle. I don't know. I thought it was pretty at the time.

Some (terrible) shots of my characters.

Spoiler:
Image
Mavena the Breton witch. Started a Forsworn thanks to the Live Another Life mod.

Image
Jenger the Nord crusader. Started a Vigilant, going to join Dawnguard. Hasn't gotten actual armor or shield yet, so no, the robes are not part of his character. I think I caught him in the middle of blinking.

Image
Nakuma the Argonian healer-to-be with Shahvee in the background. Started in the Windhelm docks as a worker. . and is still there. lol.

Image
Lastly, Hagaer the thief-to-be. Currently joined up with a band of rogues in Nilheim.

I. . apologize. lmao.

@Finn: I usually just grab the shots as I go along. Don't usually save and reload as that gets rather tedious after a while. As for how low on health I was, I was quick enough after getting the shot that I managed to gulp several healing potions and save myself. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate Chaurus poison? Bah.

@Witchery: Anybody can become a "Skyrim Photographer." All it takes is some practice.
You've got a good start there. You'll want to make use of the tfc 1 (freezes everything in place and allows the camera to fly freely), tm (toggles menus), fov (changes the field of view; higher numbers is a wider fov, lower numbers is a narrower fov), and the tai (toggles AI, freezing whatever is selected in place allowing for good action shots) commands. Oh, and sucsm to change the speed the camera moves at (I tend to use 01 so the camera moves nice and slow) and the "sgrb 1 0 0 0 1" command to get rid of blur (type it in without quotes).

Anyway, here are my shots:
Tribunal Mask
Draugr
There's a certain feeling of pleasure one gets from finding something they created in random loot.
Strike One
Fall of the Dovah
Dread Horse

And... Just for the heck of it:
"Sahi! Put that cane down before you poke someone's eye out! ... Oh, wait..."

Oh, I'm going to have to write that "no blur" command down. I've had so many good shots ruined because of blur. :( Anyway, my only shot today (though I think I actually took it yesterday)

Snacktime

Only question is, who's the snack here?

Just a couple of dark, not-fancy pictures.

Anyone else seen this guy? I thought all Skyrim's couriers were Nords, I guess I was wrong.

Also, I remembered how nice the sepia tone is in the Abandoned House in Markarth, so I went in there and took a shot.

Look at all these wonderful pictures! I like seeing the game through "other eyes".

Console: I have only seen that dude once in each of my games and that was at the beginning. Its like he just vanished and the Nord took his place. :?:

Creeper: Yakov is always kicking ass in his handsome Thalmor gear. I always enjoy your pictures.

And don't worry Witchery, who cares what your pictures look like really. What matters it that you enjoy taking them, that's the real fun. Mine suck too but I post them on here anyway.

Speaking of which...
