Rook has found Calcemo in Markarth who shares his interest with the dwemer. He investigated the ruins there with C's permission, and recovered a dwemer schematic for the Dawnguard, one more to go.. He has heard rumours of a vast underground dwemer city and has found a shard of Aetherium so there are leads to investigate. He's being attacked by dragons, forsworn and vampires on a pretty regular basis so might enlist Serana's help again and go hunting.

Vara grew tired of working for the Daedra and instead decided to pursue rumors about a boy and the Dark Brotherhood in Windhelm. She found herself getting kidnapped soon after, and in a moment, decided to destroy the Dark Brotherhood.

Other than that, she also started the College of Winterhold quests.

I also did a lot of modding on the side. Mostly just textures.

Main quest continued (Alduin's Wall spoilers):

Spoiler:
Sylvaine and her lot escorted Esbern to Riverwood and, after a quick briefing with Delphine, accompanied the two Blades to the Karthspire. Arriving at the Karthspire Camp I was hard pressed to keep the Blades and my fellow Forsworn from each other's throats, let alone dealing with the inevitable dragon attack and a couple of Forsworn-hunting Markarth guards stirred into the mix; once I had killed the dragon, spamming Harmony got us into the temple with a minimum of casualties, but once we stood before Alduin's Wall both Delphine and Esbern turned hostile, forcing me to reload (Skyrim's faction mechanics can be a nightmare, and my 40 $ Riften bounty probably didn't help either). A little console trickery (adding both Blades to the hagraven faction temporarily) did the trick, and we all fought the dragon together the second time, which felt much better. (I feel justified in this by the Annals of the Dragonguard mentioning an ancient agreement between the Blades and the Reachmen back in the First Era, and Sylvaine's going to talk to the local matriarch and try to persuade her to renew it for the time being [/roleplay]; whether the Blades will prove themselves worthy of the hospitality of the Reach remains to be seen.)

Played on the greatest buggiest game ever again today, the Companions story-line on my other profile for the trophies. (Thank goodness it was only for the trophies).

Long, and stressful:
Spoiler:
So I start to join the circle by consuming the blood of Aela; i.e. the beast's blood. So far so good. I break through the story part where I go with Aela and discover Skjor is dead. Still no problems, it's only until I progress just as far as Kodlak's funeral where this ridiculous BS happens. I travel back to Whiterun with my Thrall Cultist Adept and Vilkas, Vilkas is now apparently hostile as he's a red dot on my compass, I'm like, oh alright a small glitch, or a guard must of annoyed him (lol). But no, I get to the Skyforge with the Jarl on top e.t.c. and now EVERYONE is attacking Ria and the city guards? What the hell is going on? After a moment of trying to escape from this (running away from everything) I gather 2000 bounty for no reason at all. I return back to the Skyforge and: My Cultist is attacking me, Njaada Stonearm is dead, Ria is nowhere to be found and the ONLY person not attacking me is the Jarl (Balgruuf). Alright, now apparently this cutscene has commenced where you can't speak to the companions and Eorlund has given me a task, to retrieve the fragment in Kodlak's draw... What, the hell, can go wrong with this, this time? I get the shard and come back to the companions, Aela, Vilkas and Farkas (I think) have now unsheathed their two-handers and are spamming the texts Leave me, Not Now(x300). This time I must travel to Kodlak's resting place and cure him of his inner-wolf. What do I get? Spammed with "FOR KODLAK!" (unable to fast travel as guards are pursuing you). I manage to run them into some wolves outside of Whiterun and finally get to fast travel to Winterhold and complete the quest.

Never. Again. Approaching. Companions.

^^ Whoa! What an adventure. :D

I've been playing my assassin in an alternate universe which is basically sticking to whatever happens in this game-no matter what. Unlike in her other games. The moment of truth came when Onmund was killed in Nchuand-Zel: do I stick to my original plan of letting things be as they are or re-loading? I decided against re-loading. So Felina is devastated. Not only did her troll run away after a couple hours (she loved him!) but her husband lies dead in a Dwarven ruin. I don't know how she'll be able to handle another dwarven ruin again. Sigh.

So she went home to steward Brelyna and gave her a few hundred gold pieces to take care of the boy while she's gone. And so she went to meet Serana to help her find Valerica. When asked about her family life, Felina lied and said her husband was still alive, just gone for a while. *tear*

I thought Brelyna was dead already. Anyway, did Felina take a bunch of skooma after Onmund died?

No, she didn't. Actually, Brelyna is still alive in the game. And I ended up reloading...the grief was too much. :P

Stinky-Fingers the Argonian bruiser released some mouthy dunmer who happened to get himself all caught up in some spider's web (Bleak Falls Barrow), had to run him through before he got two steps though. Stupid eejit, you shouldn't call a burly Argonian with a Skyforge steel greatsword a fool when he's standing right in front of you! Found a nice sparkly golden claw on the eejits carcass.

Vara did some more work at the College and was randomly pronounced Arch-Mage.
Other than that, she helped Onmund solve a problem of his.

Didn't do too much today. Most of my time was spent testing ENBs. Right now, I'm going to do a quick texture test. Then I'm done.

^^^Dohvakiin, I know exactly how you felt. I recently had Cosnach and Aranea bug out on me and turn against each other after an extended fight with Markarth guards; nothing I tried could break them out of fighting, and in the end he killed her. I remember staring at Cosnach on the screen and yelling "What have you done, you idiot!" while at the same time racking my brain for a plausible roleplaying rationalization for what had just happened. After a minute or two I gave up and reloaded.

(Perhaps the worst thing was that she reverted to her original blue hooded mage robes in death. The enchanted headdress, black robes and cloak I had given her, her daedric dagger, the jewelry I had made and enchanted for her, every trace of my coven sister was gone and just the plain vanilla character left - I mean, everything was still in her inventory, but I couldn't even make her wear it for a proper burial. Some things are just too brutal to be borne.)

Today was a wonderful time. My Dunmer mage was having a relatively slow and uphill battle, as she's trying to acquire Breezehome. She bought a Dwarven Bow as an upgrade in Windhelm for her Orcish one, then ended up giving it to Calcelmo because the Reach was generous enough to give her a Forsworn Bow replacement.
Then it all was downhill from there.

Side note: Encountered a wierd glitch that almost got Lydia killed before I enlisted her service. It was wierd. Like, everyone randomly dogpiled on Lydia and I as soon as I entered Dragonsreech. I had to shoot a horse with a couple of Ice Spikes and spend a couple hours in the jail to fix it. Luckily, Lydia survived. Though, Proventus is being a butt and is always not in the throne room now.

Vara married Onmund and adopted two children: Lucia from Whiterun, and Sofie from Windhelm.
She then wandered around and did some stuff before going to Solitude. There, she has started the process for joining the Legion.

Funnily enough, I can walk around the rest of Skyrim just fine. No CTDs or anything.
However, on the road between Whiterun and Solitude, I always get a CTD around Dragon Bridge. Doesn't happen anywhere else and it doesn't seem to matter how long I've played for. Something's up in that area. I just don't know what.

Vara's save is only 10MB, and the CTDs don't start until around 14 or 15MB so I doubt it has something to do with her save. Meh. Whatever. That's what fast travel is for.

Edit:
Forgot to mention Vara's wedding.
I had the most guests show up out of any of my characters. Mostly because Vara has done more than the others.
She had Brelyna, Valdimar, Jarl Idgrod Ravencrone, and Jarl Skald the Elder. Two Jarls. The people of Skyrim like her. Heck, in all of my characters (and 2055 hours), that's the first time I've had any Jarl show up to a wedding.

Fram gets over his horror of Chillwind Depths, Serana tells Alva to put her grapefruit away, and the butcher's bill finally comes due:

^Kudos for unflinching roleplaying, Gbaji! You're more consequent than me. That was a very moving last journal entry.

Sylvaine and company travelled from Markarth to Morthal via Bruca's Leap Redoubt and Karthwasten; on the hillside between the road and Dead Men's Respite we fought an assaulting Storm Dragon. Thanks to Sylvaine's good magic and elemental resist gear she withstood its shock breath and storm call very well, but once or twice only Become Ethereal saved her from the worm's jaws; finally it was vanquished with the help of an ice troll who happened to come along the way and joined the fray on our side.

Being so close to Dead Men's Respite I thought I might as well clear it but kept getting more and more frequent CTDs the further I intruded (may be due to vestiges of Immersive Creatures which I recently uninstalled, IIRC it changes King Olaf); in the end I reloaded outside the front door and went on my way - wasn't going to do the Bards College quest anyway, and I can do without the Word of Power.

After a brief stop in Morthal, where Sylvaine thanked Jarl Idgrod for her assistance at a recent festive occasion on enemy territory but politely declined the offer of a thaneship, we carried on to Labyrinthian and entered it at last (College of Winterhold spoilers ahead).
Spoiler:
In spite of his magicka-draining taunting and obscenities in the dragon language Morokei and his undead coterie were destroyed, and the ghosts of Savos Aren and his young companions can rest in peace. As for the Staff of Magnus, Sylvaine stood a long while pondering what to do with it, but in the end she left it lying among Morokei's ashes; she trusts none of the college mages with that kind of power, she isn't sure she can trust herself to use it wisely, and she certainly trusts neither Ancano nor the Psijics, whose purpose is far from clear to her. Should she ever have need of it she knows where to look. She gladly took the mask though and will pass Vokun on to Aranea, who had no mask of her own up to now.

I completed the quest Promises to Keep on my Dunmer (Jun) account.
Spoiler:
The guy that I ended up giving Frost the horse to walked 10 paces towards Riften, dismounted and got amnushed by 3 bears. After the bears witnessed the man crawl on the floor with his story-plot-armour their next target was the horse, which died after being attacked. I fled from the situation with the gold in my pocket.

R.I.P Frost, stolen and died the same day.

In other news, the quest (I believe it's called Infiltration), I could not be bothered to assist the man as I already cleared out his cave, so after starting the quest I killed him. Not marked as essential and also doesn't fail your quest so now I've a permanent assignment... -_-. Oh well, I pushed his body to the loading screen area/back-end of the cave and he moved slightly below the ground which renders any function for his corpse unusable and unreachable.

Edit's date (Since there's no point in posting again after myself)...

Jun's Dark Brotherhood Storyline approach:
Spoiler:
After leaving out the Jarren Root for the "Emperor's" soup, we waited a while in the corner of the room. Jun had gotten slightly bored from watching everybody eat and decided to leave. After a quick investigation around the castle floors, Jun noticed that the only way out was to kill the proclaimed Emperor. two fire storm scrolls atop the dinner table cleared out the room; leaving the castle through the upper-floor door. A déjà vu reminded Jun of what was to come after getting half-way over the bridge (another game save playthrough); called a few Storms and threw quite a lot of fireballs at the opposite end (also acquiring bounty for Maro's crime faction?). Jun then safetly walked over the bridge with but a second delay as the game adjusted to the events.
No surprises for me ;)

I hate Volunruud. I always know better than to send my characters in there, but I'm always tempted by the lure of adventure and gold. Fighting the boss, Felina got so overwhelmed she ran into the room where Amaund Motierre and his bodyguard were hanging out. It did not go so well....

Sylvaine reconciled two quarrelling friends over a bowl of horker stew (Callen and Gorr from Interesting NPCs*), cleared White River Watch for a place to sleep and killed the Guardian Troll for Kyne's Sacred Trials. Just a normal day in Skyrim.

(If you're playing on PC and have a thing for character interaction, good stories, witty dialogues and the occasional new quest, do yourselves a big favour and download this mod. You won't regret it, promise.)

^^ I may have to check that out. Freaking Climates of Tamriel is AWESOME. Fighting dragons in a dark, heart-pounding, pouring down cats and dogs thunderstorm is surreal.

Speaking of Vulunruud, I went there today, cleared it out it gave me a dwarven shield as the boss loot. Disappointed.

Started up a new Argonian, a necromancer named Huzei. Reached about level 5 and just finished Bleak Falls Barrow. Been a while since I've played evil, all my recent characters have been good. I've missed it.

Started my Nord warrior lady, Skyndi Red-Shield again and this time I'm having much more fun with her. Mods really make a huge difference. :) I'm on my way to Bleak Falls Barrow, but had to take a break and let my computer cool off for a while (video card reached 99 degrees Celcius). That's what happens when you try playing Skyrim on a low-end computer during the worst heat wave this country has seen this century. ;)

Anyway, I have big plans for my two ladies now, S'Kirra is about to jump into the Civil War questline on the Legion side, while also commiting every petty crime she can get away with (I just dealt with the Broken Oar Grotto bandits and am wearing the fantastic looking Vagabond Armor I took off that treacherous Argonian).

And Skyndi is going to deal with some small quests around Whiterun, gather some decent gear and then join the Companions.

I started a westward sweep for several quests, after adding J'zargo as a second follower (after Marcurio), and giving him the Runic Spellbinder armor I picked up. Salma and Beem-Ja were apparently too eager for some treasure. In the first fight of the quest, they hit one of my followers, and the two mages killed them. Merla's more solid now, but the fight with Gathrik showed that there's still some strain. She did get a cool sword, the fiery souls enchantment, and the ability to have two summons at once. Up next will be Dawnstar, Ustengrav, and Solitude.

I felt like messing around, so I created a new Nord character. In my typical fashion, I cannot remember her name. All I can remember is that she is a Vampire, and is going to eventually join the Stormcloaks and whatnot. She went through Bleak Falls and started the Main Quest. I've used the Timing is Everything mod to push the start of Dragonborn after Dragonslayer, so I am free to continue the Main Quest without starting Dragonborn. I'd probably do the Civil War first, though.

I want to go to Solstheim with this character to test a few things before I go there with one of my main characters. The closest main character to Solstheim is Vara. She is on the Civil War. After that, she does Dawnguard and then the Main Quest. She isn't too far from completion.

Other than my messing around, I did some modding earlier. I was bored so I created some "big cat" style eyes for the Khajiit. Didn't turn out too badly considering the only other eyes I've done were for Werewolves (and they aren't very good at all). I might try making some Argonian eyes next.

Kadlin, my Bad Guy, decided to check out the Dawnguard, and on her first mission, ended up rescuing a Vampire. She seemed a lot more pleasant than anyone at the Dawnguard, so she agreed to escort her home. Once there, she was happy to accept the gift Lord Harkon offered. They sent her out again on another mission, but Kadlin was more interested in testing out her newfound powers. She used her latest Dark Brotherhood mark as her guinea pig. It went well, but she's still getting used to her new self.
