This is like the old "Signs you play Oblivion too much" thread, but for ALL the TES games.

Here's one of mine(And Arch-Mage Matt's) that we did.

Imagine that some angry Redguard is about to bring his sword down on your head. All you have to defend yourself is your own longsword.

How do you block the coming blow? Do you do it Hollywood-style and hold your own sword perpendicular to your body? To hold your sword in a way that presents its full length across your chest so it'll serve as some wide barrier of steel which will block your enemy's strike?

In other words, the wrong way?

The Elder Scrolls taught me to identify foxglove blossoms on sight. It has done nothing to teach me how to kill someone with a sharp ribbon of tempered steel.

you know you play TES too much when you crouch and you think no one can see you.(happened to me )

When you yell "FUS RO DAH!" in an attempt to blow people out of your way in a narrow hallway.

When you instinctively reach for your bow while crouching.

You know you play TES too much when you consider doing something dangerous, aslong as you save beforehand.

When you go to type a paper, and your hands default to WASD and the mouse.

When you don't recognize guns anymore.

I've attempted to summon a Prolofix Tower and dance on it to make myself a god because I read about that in a lore book. Didn't work, but I gained a new appreciation for Dubstep music.

That is EXACTLY what I do sometimes. It's pretty scary actually.

You know you've been playing TES too much when you start calling people 'N'wah' or "Milk Drinker" and in surprise you yell, "By Azura, by Azura, by Azura!"

When I decided to walk to my boyfriend's house (which is a half hour-40 minute walk) instead of "fast-traveling" via bus because I thought it would more of an adventure and discover new locations.

When...

...you watch the Simpsons and wonder when all those high elves are gonna start casting spells.

...right after scolding/accusing somebody, you follow up with, "What say you in your defense?"

...you go through police academy just so you can use the line, "STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!"

For an excuse you say "But I took an arrow to the knee!"

When
...ever you get out you make sure that there are no dragons flying nearby
...you ask shopkeeper what he has for sale (in supermarket)

...you see dragon flying nearby

Things i have done
When you suddenly say something with a slight Khajiit accent after spending too much time following their caravans.
When you glance down to see how much health you have left.
When you sing the tune to the Morrowind, Skyrim, and Oblivion theme songs over and over in your head throughout the day.
When you see someone in a movie say "Stop right there criminal scum!" and you burst out laughing only to the bewilderment of those around you.

Others
When you see a crimescene and you go over to loot the bodies
When you assume children are immortal

Oh crap... I'm going to stay away from you guys...

...when you hop down the street instead of walking to boost your Acrobatics skill.
...when you start wondering if switching from light coat to heavy winter jacket will increase your Endurance.
...when you consider giving the cashier at Tesco 10 quid before paying to increase her disposition and lower the prices.
...when you're crossing the bridge and look over the edge to see if there are any shells on the bottom of the river.
...when you start looking around in panic after being woken up by a loud noise.
...when you have to fight the urge to collect a sample from every single kind of plant you see.
...when you decide not to go into politics because you're worried somewhere on your way to the top you'll be asked to strip by a man who wants you to call him "uncle".

I have done that so many times... In other games too. I wish it was as easy as ES when I'm about to take map control of the wrong area in Halo... [/FPS nerd] [/bracket addict]
