Pretty simple ... what is your favorite faction in the Elder Scrolls?

Sixth House for me. Shame their boss kept committing suicide by jumping in lava whenever i met him

Thieves Guild. Its sorta like the TES Mob. ^_^

i liked the Comona Tong too (as enemies tho), they're also quite mob like

Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild for Oblivion

For Morrowind until now only Thieves Guild and Morag Tong

Hard to say, maybe House Hlaalu for their questionable doings. I pretty much like them all otherwise. Though I was not impressed by the Darl Brotherhood, they felt like a comedy troop even more than every other Oblivion faction.

I have been waiting for this thread forever! (Not really, but, you know.)

My favorite faction has always been - and very likely always will be - the Fighters Guild. For one, that's the sort of person I am when I play these games: I am a fighter, a hack and slasher, a "I'm going to put on some shiny armor and save the day!" sort of Hero. I like to hold my head high and have a little noble-minded flair. (Also why my avatar is the Knight of the Thorn sword. Quite frankly, I am a warrior at heart.) For another, I think they're very under appreciated as a guild. The Morrowind quest line was all right, but the Oblivion one was a bit weak to me...and I think that impacts them negatively. But they're such characters. Where else can you find a guildmate who's going to leave you with the fond words "Go hurt something"?

A strong runner up to this is House Redoran from Morrowind, more or less for the same reasons. I love the lore behind that particular Great House and I think they're exceptional, and the quests were a lot of fun to me. It was really interesting to roleplay the idea of being an Outlander and having to work your way up the noblest and strongest of the Great Houses... Ah. Good times.

I'm not going to comment on what faction I like best (yet), because I've only done the morrowind ones, but I have to say that I really liked Morrowind's fighters guild questline. The politics were really interesting... Actually, it's probably the most interesting guild in Morrowind.

The Dark Brotherhood is obviously my favorite, which is why I chose my username.

Favorite faction... mm... It's a toss up between the Morag Tong and the Brotherhood.

Even though they've never been my in-game favourites, my overall favourite faction would have to be the Mages Guild. Pretty much all the factions in the games have a very single-minded and one-tone feel to them, but the mages are capable of a lot more. They have that 'if you're planning on spending next morning with your skin still facing the right way round, then you do not mess with us' feel that other factions justdon't have. Plus I enjoy playing as a mage.

Mages Guild, it is the only faction that has been pretty much universally useful and awesome throughout the series.

I probably like the fighter's guild best. They're the most generic faction and therefore get overlooked as favorites, but the quest lines were good in both Morrowind and Oblivion and the characters in the guilds are some of the funnest and most interesting in the game.

My favorite is Blackwood company

The Tribunal Temple, House Dagoth, or House Telvanni for sure.

Outside of the games themselves, House Indoril and the Psijics.
