Or you can go with the radical reason.......

Anyway, I feel that Akatosh is my favorite divine, not becasue of the usual reasons like, "He was the only Aedra to actual even prove he was real." It's more that Akatosh is Time, Akatosh made the most deep beings I've ever seen, Dragons. Depending on how you think it, Akatosh can be me, I can be Akatosh, even without CHIM, and that's just dandy. My Dovahkiin should be worshiped by as many people as possible, even the Mer that despise me. I like Akastosh, cause in a really deep way, Mer worship of Auriel is so painfully ironic.

The radical reason is implied if you put two and two together. I kinda prefer it not being explicitly stated in the games. You don't need an obscure MK forum comment to figure out the Thalmor at the very least want to reshape the world if not utterly destroy it. Ancano was a hardline Thalmor party member and he was interested in using the Eye of Magnus to "unmake the world." And who is to say he couldn't?

Implying that Ancano speaks for all Thalmor? Not to say I disagree, just that . . . it isn't something that occurred to me, personally.

You may have noticed that the Thalmor are "Elder Scroll Nazis"; there is a reason for that. Of all the "MUUUUHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" organisations, the radicals lead them. Did Hitler speak for all Nazis, does the leader of the Thalmor speak for all of them? Maybe. Maybe not. The point is some of them think that. Probably the higher ups.

Or the ambitious delusional grunts that are sent to the College of Winterhold as an "adviser"?

I don't like these comparisons to real life. It makes everything so much more . . . uncomfortable. I don't liken the Thalmor to Nazis by any stretch.

Talos is e beat because he includes the part part of alatosh that wants the wolrs to exist, along with lorkhan. So he is like a two in one.
