Well, after you 'destroy' Alduin, will there still be dragons flying around, or will it be like Oblivion (no gates after MQ).
If there will be no dragons after the MQ, I'll be pretty [&@%!] off, because I still want to unlock new shouts and be able to kill more challenging dragons after the MQ (Thats when I reach my highest levels because I usually finish the MQ early in the game)
Anyone know anything about this? (River, maybe you??)

It's possible, and probably likely. Killing a dragon doesn't look as involved as going into an Oblivion Gate to close it, so I could totally see them being left in (at a reduced spawn rate) so that players have something "big" to do every now and then. I wonder if Pete Hines would answer that.. let's find out!

EDIT: Okay, I Tweeted the question to him.. hopefully it's something he is allowed to give information about.

EDIT2: Probably not going to get an answer from him this time. Usually he gets back to you right away if he's on Twitter.. if not, it'll probably get lost in the shuffle with all of the other Tweets he receives. Someone should try again in a few hours.. but let's be easy on the guy, apparently he's come down with a sinus infection. =\

I can't document this, but I'm quite sure that Todd Howard said that dragons would never stop spawning, even after the main quest, I am however, quite fuzzy on the certainty of my memory of this. But I feel like I know this to be true.

i hope they spawn after MQ. if not.. well that is dumb

Depends on what happens and the end of the MQ

I too recall hearing that Dragons will continue to respawn after the MQ has been completed.

I, personally, take this as a near confirmation. Thanks
