I enjoyed the arena as much as the next guy, but can we let them come up with new ideas?

People are still griping about what wasnt in oblivion that was in morrowind, and of course that will continue on into the next game.

I'm not really talking about you River, but just people in general.

Until they come up with a bunk game, i'll trust that they are coming up with some fun stuff to do

No Arena is bogus. Failblivion's was bad. Skrim's could have done the idea justice. Oh well

Nice a dog companion. I hope this one won't run into force fields at a military base and die.

More tweet news from Pete. Nymphs are in! :D No live stream from PAX :( The body type is adjusted be a weight slider. :) He double confirms leveling will be like Fallout not oblivion :) and that you don't have to sleep to level up, but you can wait and level up when you want. :)

But he also casts some doubt over the appearance on M'aiq in Skyrim. :(

@DCDeacon In Skyrim, in order to level up. Is it like Oblivion where we sleep to level up? Or does a level screen pop tinypo.st/14217

@Cyber_Demon256 It tells you when you've leveled up and your Skills menu changes to a level up menu. But you choose when to level up.

New type of auto save confirmed in pete tweet.

Quote:
Jean Lavince @DCDeacon In TW2 we choose the time between autosave , 2 , 5 or 10 min so we don't loose time to save in the menu anymore ! Great idea !!

@DCDeacon Pete Hines @JeanLavince alternates between 3 slots. You set time interval (5, 10, 15, etc) as well as if it saves on sleep, wait, etc.

Awesome, that's great news. Many a time a good autosave has been over-written by a bad, and it's a pain to go get the autosave.bak file. 3 slots should be plenty.

Don't recall who asked, but you can play with the HUD opacity so that you don't see your compass, crosshair, or bars, if you want.

So we can make the compass invisable? That's cool!

There goes one of the biggest complaints on the whiners forum on a different website

That is nice, but i'll still play with it on. I use the compass to find local landmarks, dungeons, etc.

Any word if you can turn off the THIRD PERSON kill animations? i can't find a straight answer.

The only thing that really upsets me from this list is the no blocking while dual wielding part. I mean, I'd understand if there was a damage reduction penalty, obviously it's not like using a shield, but can't you just cross one of the weapons over the other?

Ah well, I'm sure there will be a mod made for it.

Other than that, I'm looking forward to it!

That"s the thing though. I've read that you can't but also that you can, so i'd really love a quote from todd or pete or someone.

I hope you can block with two-handers.

You can. The reason you can't block with two one-handed weapons is that one mouse-button (or the respective trigger) can only perform one action. Mouse 0 = left hand, Mouse 1= Right hand.
