You never fail to disappoint River. Thank you.

"Depending on who you befriend (or upset, I would assume), that NPC's friends or faction's disposition will change towards you. For instance, if you befriend a Jarl, the guards may like you more. This also plays into the crime system, where it apparently has a lot to do with who you are close with on a faction level, and on a personal level. Details are pretty vague, and confusing, so I'll leave it to the reader to decipher the process behind this."

Sounds promising

any way to view the other screens besides the one with the bound bow? btw that bow looks beast!!!!!!!!!

so i randomly came across some HQ pics taken off of the screen by some one playing the demo. i think however that it is "of a leaked nature" and i dont know if im allowed to link to the page. but guys it looks awsome! the is one where he is fighting a giant inside what looks like a sheeps pen or a small farm. also one where the player is in combat with an archer outside an icy cave at what looks like a very nicely detailed banditcamp. on one of the other pics he is the inventory and there are stuff like: corundum ingots, hunting bow, charcoal and hide armour and minor squire (don't know what thats about) also there are some pics of scans from the OMX mag showing the player doing alchemy and a mudcrab;)
it looks great you guys!... not long till release

Let's not clutter up the info thread. Discuss the bow's awesome-level in the image encyclopedia instead.

A Russian map of Skyrim was just uploaded over at ElderScrolls.Net. If any of you speak Russian, it might be of interest to you.

ND and maybe ZM might be able to shed more light on the map for us. I can make out 9 holds each with their own emblem, with 5 cities with names larger than the others and in orangey-gold. Still looks like the other cities will get a fair representation, as there are still evn smaller settlement symbols, that will probably be similar to settlements in oblivion. The map looks incredibly well made though. It's exciting really.

Th map has cities located in the same spots as other maps at (including crests - bold for the 5 coloured and enlarged names):
Winterhold (possibly Three pine trees), Windhelm (A bear with a single v below), Riften (Crossed swords over layed on a single vertical stripe), Falkreath (Some kind of Elk), Markath Side (A Ram/Mountain Goat), Solitude (possibly a Wolf), Stonehill [not exact] (A three pronged swirl), Dawnstar (A star), Whiterun (A horse with a single horizontal line below).

Edit: typo

I did my best at working out the map, though there are a number of new toponyms which could be spelled in a number of different ways in English. Since Russian and English phonetics differ much, the English words that are transliterated into Russian can be distorted beyond recognition. Of course, I could retrace some of the names relying on the lore, and in some I am absolutely sure, but naturally there are bound to be new names which are yet unknown to us and thus not yet present anywhere. This was the case with lakes mostly. There is also a city unknown to me, the one with the swirl as its crest. Something along the lines of "Morfal". In cases of doubt, I tried to dig the lore, little of it as it is, and rely on what is written in the Russian map.

I checked my findings with the less detailed map in the English language that I found on Wikitalk, which was copied from a map seen in a Todd Howard video (note that both in the map from the video and in the map from the Wikitalk the Pale and Winterhold are not divided, making it eight holds instead of nine), and it turned out that my initial translation of names "Falkreath Hold" and "Whiterun" was correct.

Also, I managed to make out in the map from the Todd Howard video that perhaps the full name of the Pale is the Pale Shore ( :?: ), which corresponds with the name in the Russian map (Белый Берег).

This is what I achieved on the whole. It was very exciting. :D

Great work Norroen! Thanks on behalf of the wiki

On the subject of Morfal, it might be something completely new, but looking at it, Mor resembles mora, the Aldmeris word for stone, and it's in the vicinity of Stonehill on older maps. There might be a link there, there might not.

Anyway, great work! It's come out really well I think.

Well, I tried to follow the Russian map as closely as I could, since its source is reliable enough. In the Russian map the city in question is called Морфал. :)
You are most welcome, I had a great time translating it (though I did go to bed at 2 a.m., but luckily it's a day off today). :P

On closer inspection the crests of Winterhold and Riften may actually be a Castle and crossed spear points, respectively, rather than pine trees and crossed swords. I think I was pretty close with the others though .

I've translated the map back into English. But I can't post neither images, nor links here, so you can see it on my blog:
