Leveled rewards in Skyrim?

Wed Nov 09, 2011 5:15 am

Does anybody know if Skyrim will have leveled quest rewards like in Oblivion?

If it does I'm going to just stay around one area for awhile and level up.

I really hope not, but as far I know no one has said yes or no definitively.

I think it did, earlier on, and then it died.

It doesn't have a leveled reward system I believe, I remember Todd saying something about how high altitude/terrain = higher level monsters, meaning you could wander into a place you shouldn't go. So I would have to say no, there won't be leveled rewards.

It would have been nice if rewards/enemies simply operated in a level range.
Like 1-15 for Bandits and 10-20 for trolls, etc., etc.

That way you could potentially be too weak to fight them, in a decent range for a good amount of the game to fight them with challenge, and a range when you (and some higher enemies) are a total badass not to be trifled with.

That would be great. I remember seeing that, but I believe someone asked Pete Hines about this and he said you would get better rewards and loot at higher levels, I wish they would go into detail about this.

That could just mean they have the morrowind system, which I would like. Quest rewards are non leveled, enemies are non leveled, but some treasure chest are leveled. But just an assumption, hopefully it gets true!

I hope it's like Morrowind also. I don't think they will do it the same way they did it in Oblivion, because they know the fans didn't like it.

I think the perfect situation would be like this:
There are lots of leveled quest rewards, but those are all replaceable, non-unique stuff.
The irreplaceable rewards (Daedric artifacts, etc) are all unleveled and you get them by questing in the zones that only high level characters should go to.
This would make everyone happy.

I agree, stuff like gems, money, scrolls, and potions will probably be leveled, and the unique stuff non-leveled.

The leveling system will be an updated version of Fallout 3's.
There will be "easier" and "harder" areas. Each dungeon that is not manually leveled will "lock" to your current level the first time you enter. This means that if you enter a non-set dungeon at level 3 it will always be a level 3 dungeon, even if you come back at level 30. I'm not sure about quest rewards but I doubt they will all be leveled.
