I have heard rumors of water "flowing", to where you can jump in it and it will take you down river, or you can drag a body in it and it will start dragging the body along, I just wanted to confirm, is this true or not? I haven't heard it from the mouth of toward (todd howard

) so I don't know for certain

It's true, at least in the version they had at Eurogamer.

Yup, happens to great effect. I remember chucking this big Nord adventurer in a river and wasting a couple of minutes watching him float downstream ... so much timewaste potential.

Because I hated not being able to in fallout 3, and they can turn you in,
NO WITNESSES

Why would anyone want to kill children?
In any game?
And secondly what would it matter if water did or didnt move?

Last I checked water moves IRL. Secondly you and I both know you try to kill children in fallout 3 when people arent looking

No, I have morales.
Secondly skyrim isnt Irl so moving water doesnt matter when the bigger picture is more important.

Rynkar, you sound as if you are picking fights. He merely wanted to know if it flows, and it can be very good for both immersion and just shows the level of detail gone into the game. I think if anything, Bethesda are going for the smaller picture becoming more detailed than the 'bigger picture' as a whole.
Regarding children, I would want to slaughter them if they were witnesses. At least bribe them...

You said it yourself, skyrim isnt IRL, morales don't count non-IRL. I cant go slaughtering children and making a raft of their lifeless bodies IRL, but I can ingame! Or at mathias said, at very least bribe them. Until a mod is made i will just use the console to kill them

Morals don't really matter when it comes to games, to be honest. I'm an IRL pacifist and I have no problems playing murderous proud warrior race guys.
More importantly, flowing water matters for the same reason dynamic snowfall matters and pretty graphics matter: immersion. If water flows and affects the physics of objects in it, then you could swim downriver, with the current, to quickly escape enemies that are too tough to handle, or you could dispose of a corpse by having the current take it downriver to the ocean. Those kinds of things. Most of it is more important to role players than most others. I eagerly await the mod that lets us take boats down rivers.
And as a point, Ocarina of Time had flowing water back when it was released. It only had one river, granted, but it still had a very prominent current, which was used as a gameplay device. This was just shy of 13 years ago.

It should be locked. Isn't there something in the Skyrim rules about quality over quantity? So many useless threads are created in this sub forum that don't even warrant their own thread. Isn't there a "general" Skyrim thread you guys can use for all of this? I mean, fwiw, I got called out for "clutter" because I posted 4 times in a row in the spoilers thread.. Yet, IMO, the amount of filler threads in here are 100x worse.

Some people actually abide by what they believe no matter if its real life or not....so all of our points are moot.
Secondly dynamic snowfall and pretty graphics dont make the game great, it helps, but its not why I play video games, its the gameplay and story that matters.

So the question has been answered, no need for any more of this sort of chatter?

This thread is going dark places, I think a lock is in order.

I shouldn't be making decisions this late at night ... or early in the morning depending on how you look at it. But we really cannot continue with this kind of thread. When the game is released I'll be expecting people to use the stickies for little things like this.
Remember that if you have any small questions about the game, PM me or another member who's had some hands-on time and we can do our best to give an answer.
