Any idea what that is? Also the dragon armour seen in the screenshot is horrible:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-Dragon ... wLegal.jpgI hope it's more similar to the one from the concept art:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-concep ... _Armor.jpgI was thinking that maybe the dragon armour is normally like the one in the screenshot, but if we've unlocked the "create scaled and plat armour" perk, we can make it like the one in the concept art. It would be nice if it were so, but I doubt it.

I don't think that armor is horrible at all, but has it ever been confirmed by a dev that it's actually dragon armor?
Fri Nov 04, 2011 8:04 pm
Not that I know if. Hope not, though.

I thought this was the dragon armour, although that may just be wishful thinking due to the awesomeness of it. -

It does look similar to the concept art. But I'm still wondering about scale and plate.

Read the comment info they said thats early development it does not look like that anymore.

Are you talking about this: "This page highlights the Skyrim pre-release screenshots and videos that have been made available by Bethesda. Because this content was published before the game was released, the images may not reflect actual, in-game content. Concept Art is summarized on a separate article."? What troubles me is the MAY NOT. Has there been any word by Bethesda that that's not the dragon armour? If so, please let me know.
Anyway the discussion is going OT, as I started the topic to see what other people think "scaled and plate armour" are.

I don't think the scale/plate armors have anything to do with Dragon Armor. To get the Dragon Armor perk in you need 100 in Smithing while you only need 50 for the Advanced Armors perk.
And it's located on the Light Armor side of the perk tree.
Fri Nov 04, 2011 8:36 pm
does this mean it's light armor?? NOOO, please not. i was hoping it would be like: if your Heavy Armor skill > light armor skill, then its heavy armor (like the armor you get in the end of the MQ in Oblivion)

Dragon Armour comes in both Light and Heavy variants. Confirmed multiple times.

*sighs*
you, sir, saved my
day life there!!!
(or maybe my life until TESVI comes out)

So you are saying Dragon Armor itself IS light armor??
The Smithing skill tree does not bear this out. Smithing Dragon Armor perk is at the top of a pyramid. Light comes up from left side and heavy from right.
Edit: question answered.

Dragon Armor is where the Heavy Armor and Light Armor branches meet. You people could atleast bother to actually click my link before making assumptions.

I just noticed the female in this image has a mini crown similar to the crown worn by the khajit by the candlelight image. Is the crown included in the amor set?
Fri Nov 04, 2011 11:43 pm
what image?

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:SR-Khajii ... wLegal.jpg Must be part of the armor set , the crown is of same type but made from a different mineral

You call that a tiara or a circlet.
I think someone mentioned it counts as light armor, but I'm not sure.

If that counts as light armour, I have no idea what I'll do, but, but, but, you can't protect your head with that! If it will save your life it's as much a lucky hit as when you're shot, but the bullet doesn't penetrate the watch in your pocket.

Here is what I think Scaled and Plate Armor is:
Based on the perk available at level 50 in Smithing
So I believe that Scale is an advanced modification to light armor types, and Plate is an advanced modification to heavy armor types.

Exactly my point with the dragon armour. Glad someone else thinks that. If it's so, it will be awesome. Anyway I won't be playing the game until the 4th of December, as I'm in China right now and going back home on the 3rd. I guess I'll have all of my questions answered and everything explained by the time I go back home, so I won't be wasting perks! There's something good even in waiting extra three weeks to play the game.

But Advanced Armors is still on the Light Armor branch of the tree. I don't think Heavy Armor users would be very happy to go through the Light Armor perks to be able to make Plate Armors.
