My daughter was looking over my shoulder when I checked the forums, and she said, "Musicman made a tea party mod for Skyrim? Can I see it?" I didn't have the heart to tell her that he hadn't modeled a set of china tea pots and cups with tea sandwiches... (yes, I let my 8-year-old daughter watch me make French food for a mod even though I consider the game itself to be way too violent for her)

Okay, I need to figure out how to make a tea set mod. We cannot let that little girl down!

There's already a kettle, and already cups. It's a piece of cake to re-texture 'em and it would take about five minutes of work in the CK to get it in-game.

The fact that she even knows who Musicman is is a little odd.

The "kettle" in the game isn't actually a tea kettle. It's more like a big pot. Unless you mean there's another mod that adds a real tea kettle?

Well, she can read, and it said his name in the title.

'Kettle' is the American name for what Europeans call a 'cauldron'. Just like 'hood' is a 'bonnet', 'subway' for 'tube', etc.

I've found one that was actually a tea kettle. I'd have to check the game data to be sure.

But, we now stray dangerously off-topic and I'd like to spare Musicman the narcissistic need to alert us of that fact. ;)

Mind this: I am cursed. When it comes to luck and fortune, I make Charlie Brown look like the Princes of Serendip. Something to do with the exercise of humility, of how hubris must be countered by tragedy. Kinda sucks.

Should I ever offer words of congratulation to anyone, Fate will lay the smackdown on that person just to spite me. Thus, my silence in this regard is the greatest blessing I can bestow.

Well, what I did is not much of a mod. I didn't add any new foods, and the "teapot" is just a squished jug that I added a lid to. The texture is basically the sovngarde clutter texture turned blue and white with a gradient map. I'm sure whatever you come up with will be a lot nicer :D

HA! That's a joke, right? I haven't ever made a mod. Well, at least not one that adds new things or re-textures or anything fancy. I made a quest once...that's it. I will try, but I can almost guarantee it won't be pretty, and it definitely won't be anywhere near the quality of your work, Deandra!

This is waaaay off topic (if this is even a topic at all)
But when I go to "View your posts" and click on this thread, it says it's in the Arena subforum.

Yes I know it's a global announcement, but I just find this rather amusing right now.

That's pretty funny! Avron must have created it while in the Arena Sub-forum or something similar since Announcements are at the top of every Sub.

No, actually. Global announcements do not have a parent subforum, being global and all, so when you click on one they show up in the subforum that is numbered "1" in terms of path/creation/whatever, which is Arena. You can tell by looking at the url:
Code:
http://forums.uesp.net/viewforum.php?f=1

The little piece f=[#] indicates the path of the forum. 1 is Arena, Skyrim-General is 38, General Banter is 22, and so on and so forth.

Now stop asking relevant questions so I can enjoy my vacation. ;) (Just kidding. I obviously miss you guys, to sneak in so much!)

So now it is just up to us all to figure out what number is the subforums in which the mods plot their evil.

Theoretically, but you'd still require the necessary permissions to view it, otherwise you'd just get an error message :P
