Holy hell, it seems the Internet has overloaded Steam. I know some people have been preparing for this in advance, to get good deals, but I did not expect them to take the entire service down on the first day.

Haha, I was wondering why I was having problems connecting to Steam. Can't wait to see what's on it this year, I got some amazing bargains on the last one.

We're (let me tell you - sharing a Steam account with husband can be a real pain in the behind...) gonna get the id bundle and plain ol' Half-Life. And I'll be stalking Steam all the time until I find something I just can't resist.

Grab L4D2 and Portal 2.

Both awesome games for EXTREMELY low prices now it seems.

If I was aware you wanted it, I would of given it to you. I've had a gift copy I've just been trying to get rid of for a while.

That's so sweet, AKB. I haven't bought it yet, though, I'll probably only get around to it by like tomorrow evening.

Unfortunately, I've given it away recently, just to remove it from my inventory. I'm sorry :(

You're a lucky one, Kestral. We didn't know about the summer sale (heck, up to last year we wouldn't have been able to make use of it anyway, this is the first time we're not limited to downloading - wait for it - 2GB a month!) and so we didn't budget for it... It's screwing up our budget royally, but I'm buying enough games to keep me busy until the next summer sale.

My friend spent $100 dollars on the summer sale in one day yesterday. This thing destroys the wallets of those whose lack inhibition.

I've spent *does a quick calculation* $40 so far, and I'm nowhere near done. But I did give a solemn promise that there will be no more game-buying until next year's sale. Except for big, shiny releases.

Wow, I envy you guys. I've dropped $11.23 so far haha. I really can't afford to spend a lot of money on games just because they are discounted, so I limited myself. I put $25 in my steam wallet, and will make do with that. If a game that I really want comes on sale, or if there's a decent one for like $2, then I get it, but otherwise I'm not just spending money.
