See, there is a problem there, because when someone has a bit of drugs, they will want more and more then BOOM, addiction.

Absolutely not. Addiction is a mental thing, but you certainly have the ability to rise above it. It's why not everyone that drinks is an alcoholic, and why people who have tried, say, marijuana once don't necessarily smoke it all day long forever after that.

I take it you have a lot of experience with drugs to back this claim?


We had a lengthy discussion on this matter over at another forum. My main argument was that sometimes chilrden are better off if they aren't born at all.

I don't believe a clump of cells is a human being. Hence abortion =/= murder.

Capital punishment:against, but i don't think prison is a better choice...
Drugs: Against "heavy" ones, but for the light, they won't create many problems, and legalize them will hit the criminal organization.

I have, and I've neither craved it afterwards nor gone addicted to it, either, which is the point I'm trying to make.

Addiction has to do with your brain chemicals, like most emotions and such - and personal willpower. It's a great thing to learn about! The mind is a mysterious place.

It really depends on what kind of person you are. I classify light drugs as: marijuana, hallucinogens, ecstacy, etc.

I don't see the point in taking away people's right to live a happy life so long as they're not hurting people/animals. Does that make me left? I think it makes me sensible, and not horrendously oppressive. Personally I think someone with the sense that they should get to decide on things like who people get to love, how they live, and how they spend their time are one step away from telling you what to think and what to feel.

As for the drug issue, there are some drugs that have been needless villianized, and some that have been necessarily villianized. However, this villianization has only villianized users, not the drugs. Those who get into heroin get into crime. I am for gay couples but against gay marriage.

So you see other men/women attractive? Good for you. But why bother getting married?
Marriage is a religious ceremony, and most gays are nonreligious anyway. I see no point. It does not benefit them in any way.
I see gays who want to get married as people who want to show off gay as a status symbol.

Usage of crack, heroin etc.: Against, but 'light drugs' (Marijuana, alcohol) is fine with me but generally I see that pot smokers tend to make really dumb decisions.

I'm usually more moderate (Evidenced by the pro-capital punishment). I'm for war if the situation is right. AKA If US wasn't in a butt situation, then I'd support intervening in Syria.

A death sentence for hurting animals is going a bit too far. People at slaughter houses would be charged with death thousands of times over.

I am the same as Vendetta on gay marriages and with Sloady on animals.

It's not a religious thing though. Married couples are recognized in a different way to the state than civil partnerships are. No one is suggesting that you insist your religion has to recognize gay marriage, only that the state does.

The thing about marijuana, is while it's safe, it just feels like it can be very mentally addictive if you let it be, unlike slightly more serious drugs where you do it every once in a while and not every day. Not saying that everyone does smoke it every day.

It also happens to be the institution through which your love is legally recognised and your partner is granted legal protection and benefits. And what about the same sex couples that are indeed religious? hardly seems fair on them.
