The forums were founded on the 24th of November, which, incase you don't keep track of time, is this month. We always do something every year, various competitions, questions to us, and other stuff and things. And So we will do so again!
I'm starting this thread as a kind of idea thread, and discussion. Have any sort of idea for us? The general stuff we usually have can be found in the archives in 2010 anniversary, incase you want an ideas.
And obviously we'll Skyrim related stuff.
Pudding, cake and haggis will be served.

Competitions :
1) Caption contest
2) writing competion
3) avatar contest
4)interviews
5)scavenger game hunt.

A caption competition would be fun. With screenshots from Skyrim, perhaps?

Interviews. Seriously, interviews or make hasty egress.

A Trivia Scavenger Hunt.

- Using Clues, given in the form of a Trivia Riddle.
- Members have to decipher the Riddle.
- Then they have to go in game, and take/post a screen shot to prove they found it.
- Members have to find 3 items, in each of the 3 games, for a total of 9 items.
- Who ever finds the most, wins (if nobody finds them all).
- Who ever finds them all, in the quickes time wins (if several members find them all).

As we have seen with the Monthly Contests, we really do not need just one Competition, as not everyone has the same interests. Nothing says we can not have a writing competition, and an art competition, and other competitions/games.

I did think about that with Skyrim. I figured more people would be able to do Skyrim, than if we chose the older games like Daggerfall. Of course, the Skryim Riddles would have to be simpler, as not as many would be familiar with the game yet.

The other option would be to do 5 from Morrowind, and 5 from Oblivion.

Again, we wouldn't necessarily have to leave Skyrim out, as there can be something else/different done just for Skyrim.

Hmm, 24th of November is my birthday. Anyway riddles relating to games in the series or interviews sounds good.

Really? The 24th of November is my birthday too! And thanksgiving here in America.

We could have 4 Morrowind ones, 4 Oblivion ones, and 2 Skyrim ones.

Awesome guys. Keep the suggestions coming. I'll create a list after a while.

I say we have the usual Avatar/sig competition.

Skyrim themed of course.

Can we add mead and ale to that list?

we will all (or most of us at least) have Skyrim then, so hows about a week of challenges? Anyone could set them, they could be specified for characters of a certain level, for specific areas or places, and they should not be game spoilers.

For instance, in Oblivion (since i dont know anything about skyrim) a challenge might be to reverse pickpocket 50 gold onto the leader of the Anvil thieves guild without being caught, or to take three sigil stones in less than half an hour (if youre on a pc, a timelapse vid could be posted), or complete a dark brotherhood quest without being seen by anyone and killing the target with one blow

or they could be directions to a place of interest which you have found - like a mini treasure hunt, eg travel north from Chorrol until you see a forked tree to the east, on the other side of the tree look to the north where you will see a hut, etc..

and a prize might be given, tho i am not sure how or what

Matt, what you suggested is sort of similar to the scavenger thing, so I'll include it in that.

It will be more fun and sounds good if you start the competition right away and please with a good sense bytheway, so no one will not be irritate.

Speaking of I need to find out the best way to make a physical Welkynd Stone with the limited crafting materials I have left. I'm thinking Clay since crystals big enough are usually too expensive!

And before I got a clear picture of Alduin, many months ago back in May I did this and sent it to Bethesda themselves, ((and after spending 60 USD for shipping never heard from them after ))
