Hello everyone!

After years of having draconian avatar standards here at the UESP, the staff has decided that it is time for a liberalization!

We've changed the maximum image size from 100x100 to 150x150135x135, and increased the size limit for avatars hosted here on the site from 10KB to 30KB.

Plus using an off-site avatar is now an option if you want to exceed our 30KB size limit.

Happy Holidays!

I'm going to celebrate by making a Towering Pillar of Hats!

Am I the only one against increasing the (pixel) size limit? Makes it really weird.

Regardless, thank you Ratwar.

Well, I think 115x115 is a better size, it's the same width as the coins and doesn't stretch out the profile. I like the added kib increase though, definitely.

The size isn't so bad. It makes me feel intimidating. As long as nobody uses the bigger file size as an excuse to use flashy gifs, I don't think it'll be distracting.

Exactly. Agree on both fronts.

Nope, that was one (of many) of the reasons we never pushed it, and advised against it back in the day.

FYI, I've gotten an avatar up to 138 pixels without stretching the profile box.

Confirmed. 139 pixels, and you begin pushing the profile out of line.

Perhaps that would be the best limit then. Seeing some of the bigger avatars is messing with my eyes.

Then maybe you should all change to ProSilver because everything looks fine and better.

This is actually why I'm opposed to extending additional avatar opportunities. Avatars can be neat at times and all, but ultimately I just want to read your post. Your avatar should be little more than an identifier of who I'm reading. The same with signatures.

I like this, although I was never really bothered about the previous limits. I might just make my current one a bit larger.
