1. Josjie was a good mod, but he has decided to leave and now it's my job to see things over.
2. I'll be deciding who the new mods will be. If I make a thread allowing suggestions, it will become a popularity contest, and whatever I then decide will leave hurt feelings. Thank you to everybody who understands this.
3. As soon as I've read through all the forums, I'll come here and post a decent response.

All right. A decent response was promised and a decent response I shall give.

Firstly. Thanks to all who got the thread back on topic.

Secondly. I am up to selecting new mods. It'll just be taking a little while.

Of course not. I don't want to be a mod anyway, I don't have the time now that school has started. Plus, I'm pretty new to the site and stuff. There's a lot of people who would make better mods than me, and besides, I don't think Leilah would pick us just because we said that.

But this is going off-topic. Quiet, GV!

You probably already know this, but you'd probably want mods with experience modding other sites to start with, as a foundation.

Let me guess... You're a mod on another site? New mods have to start somewhere. This site doesn't get a huge amount of spam anyway, so they don't need much experience.

I do agree with Biotechnic here, we should get some experienced mods. Yes we should also have some new mods, but they need some guidance, Leilah would do a great job, but in a way she's the "head" mod so she could be busy. If you get me.

I doubt the discussion on this will go anywhere. There are plenty of pros and cons to new mods, and experienced mods, and the arguments needn't start. If Lei wants moderators from other forums, she'll pick them. I think right now, we need to stop throwing ideas forward in this thread unless she wants us to. At the moment they'll only hive people an excuse to argue over why they'd make a good mod.

Yes, what's your point? I don't want the mod spot here. I'm not active enough on the forum itself. I'm just giving her an opinion.

Oh, ok. I'm just sick of people trying to sell themselves in this forum. You'll hqve to excuse me if I offended you.

While I understand why experienced mods would be good, new mods might bring some new life. Just try to trust me. I only want what's best for the forums.

In the interest of everybody's sanity: if you have something to tell me on this topic that you don't want posted in this thread, that might cause an argument or offend someone or whatever (just please don't ask me to make you a mod, it only makes things awkward), my inbox is always open and I try to get back to people as soon as I can.

I think a lot of people are taking things the wrong way. A lot of people look like they want to become mods, but they actually don't. Jpot told me I looked like I was trying to sell myself off, though I never was. I don't think a lot of you realize what kind of time being a mod is.

Honestly, people, the opinion thing about other people (I never intended it to be for yourself) is already shot down. Not to be rude, but everyone needs to shut up and just go about as normal. This is starting to look like drama.

Starting? >_>
Maybe you should all try reverse psychology on Leilah.
"I really really don't want to be a mod."

I'll add to the Faith pool.
Lei's got her head screwed on right. :P

Good for you, Leilah. And everyone else, honestly. Reading over my last few posts, I feel like a real jerk. I'd like to issue an official apology to anyone I may have offended, hurt, or maimed in any way during my posts. And thank you for not flaming me. I realize that these forums are my home, and a delicate one at that. Please disregard anything I have ever said. This has been a public service announcement. *bzzt*

EDIT: For topic's sake....

I'm quite impressed by you, Leilah. I'm glad you managed to keep a level head and stay calm throughout this. I think I speak for everyone when I say that these forums will always be in your debt.

Scozzar: It's going all right, and I was online most of the weekend on account of boyfriend being away for work, so I wasn't over at his place. Hopefully you will all know what's going to be happening on the forums by tomorrow morning at the latest, maybe even tonight.
