It reminds me of when I first came over here, and the guy I was going out with was really into his music in a major way, and he was talking about this bloke called Sting, and I said ever so innocently "Who's Sting?".....the look of absolute horror on the man's face!!!!

 Just abit! I never did anything at any illegal age. Oops, I just realised, that’s a fib. I went to an R16 movie when I was still 15! Was for a friend’s 16th b/day.

Yeah, sure

Anyway, I see that I'm supposed to ask a question, so here goes:

When you close your eyes and press on them with the palms of your hands for a minute, you can see interesting patterns of lights. What is that phenomenon called?

It's called trippin' on acid, correct?

I do love doing that and just watching the pretty colors sometimes...

QUESTION:

Who are these people, and what is the common thread running through all the pictures?

Good start, but no. Who are they, and there's a deeper significance connecting the pictures (and no, it's not "they're all black and white" and "they're all dudes", either). It's something you won't get until you know who they are (or are really, really, REALLY lucky).

P.S. Cheeky devil! Checking the file names! That's cheating, for shame!

Shame on you Doros, I would have expected you of all people to realise that that's always the first obvious thing to chk if you don't know the answer straight away!

Is the common thread stereotypical weapons?

A country/wild looking man holding a shotgun.
A Japanese man holding a katana.
A gangster type man holding a pistol.

Don Imus...Doni Mus...Do Nimus...Donim Us?
Akira Kurosawa (too lazy to put variations)
Warren Harding

You should space out the file names, makes it easier to cheat.

...which is why the filenames are wrong!

Ayoub- nope, not even close. Does that look at all like Warren G Harding to you?

Serrated- good guess, he does look a bit like Nicholas Cage and I was tempted to use that in the filename, but no.

Raikarr- no. They're all famous people, and like I told Deandra, the common link has to do with their lives. The weapons are significant, but you need to know who they are first.

Need a hint?

Ummm... oh dear! I seem to have forgotten who they were! Looks like no hints! :)

No, I'll give you the answer for the middle guy, as he's probably the least well known and it'll give you an idea of where to look for the other two. The dude in the middle with the sword is Yukio Mishima.

Okay, random guess from the new girl: all three commited suicide? But I don't have the names. Well, now that I look at the wiki article for Mishima, he was technically beheaded by someone else, but...

Very, very warm! Keep following that line of thought! :D

P.S. The beheading was a traditional part of seppuku. A lot of sources in pop culture, when they touch on ritual samurai suicide, tend to gloss over that fact- it makes samurai look more badass or something. The second's job was to deliver the coup-de-grace, sometimes immediately, sometimes as soon as the seppukee began to show signs of pain, but it still counted as a suicide.

Figure out who they are, and it should click. You might want to think about the weapons and what Yukio Mishima was known for.

I'm trying, I'm trying. Wikipedia lists 241 pages in the category of "Writers who commited suicide."
