Prepare yourself for some of THE WORST and most cliche-driven poetry you've ever read. And it's all written by me. And some could use a bit of renaming... I'll get around to that later. Also a side note... some of these have a religious tint which normally I don't have. I just feel that it fits with these.

I'll give a brief description of each poem after their ends. :P

Friendship's Strife

Through the strife
And through the rough
Though thrown down
The rocky bluff,
My love for you
Survived when struck-
the bottom now is nothing but
A memory full of pain...

Now bottom passed
I climb back up
To prove sincere
My undying love.

Through the light
And through the dark,
Though sunlight lost
In darkest night,
Though thick fog forms
And clouds my sight,
I still see your mind in blight
And my voice continues without silence...

Now greatest pain passed-
Of inflicting such great pain upon you,
I'm sorry for my deeds and hope
One day you'll believe this love is true.

Through all time
And through disheart,
Though life will end
And we must part,
My soul shall wait
Beneath the Golden Arc,
And into Heaven we shall embark-
There I know you'll be happy...

Now that life has gone by
And with eternity's start,
I say in truth that I love you
With all of my heart.

Okay, this one's title might sound weird given the writing... it's a strained friendship and it though it's gotten MUCH better since writing this poem... it's still a bit hard for both of us. Suffice to say, love without reciprocation. But for her, I deal with it with a sincere smile, just to be near her.

My Resolve

Time moves on
And so do you,
But I am immortal
And my love is true.

Should Death allow you
To- from life- freely run,
I'll continue walking the Earth
Beneath a hollow sun.

Should I gamble with Fate
And have my own death won,
I'll wait forever in Heaven
For our souls to become one...

But for now we both live,
Though only one mind is spoken;
I'll be forever by your side
Until your own is awoken.

Same person, written a bit after that first poem. When I wrote the first one I was trying to shake off the last hints of sadness. During this one I reshaped and strengthened my resolve in the decision I'd made long before I wrote even the first poem.

Ode to A Mother

Don't care what I think?
But I never thought at all;
Your sight is blinded
By an offense- very small.

Question asked by once-close friend,
Offenses taken which quickly you blend
Into unfolding anger;
Your will of anger-driven uncare,
The pain, my deadened soul,
My utterly still... cannot bear.

Black night of horrific dreams,
Silvery darkness clouding all,
I no longer see;
Can't understand what it means...

I wait now for Hell to befall
Me with cascading loss,
Broken words,
Visions of sparkling see and gentle breeze fading
Into dust, and the emptiness of loss.

Waves of wailing,
Pulsing pain,
And apathy threatening;
All beating me down,
Trying to drive me insane.

I wrote to my love
That should she die
I will walk beneath a hollow sky-
Beneath an empty sun's burning pain;
Should You remain
Unmoved and still uncaring,
My resolve will not be shaken.

The loss of you hits hard,
But you taught me very well;
I'll live life one day at a time,
Each day a new living hell.

Wewt... isn't that just one of the most emo poems you've ever heard? Maybe not, I just tend to criticize my own works in that kind of way. I used the word 'loss' too much, but oh well. I'm not the greatest at this, as should be plain to see. I wrote THIS one... after a very dear mother-figure to me temporarily abandoned me. A once-trusted friend of mine who knew her lied to me about her- at the time I didn't know it was a lie so I asked her about it. And when I asked... we fell apart for a while. All's good now, but this poem was written before she came back into my life.

Locked In Doubt

Our wings bring us soaring high,
But your mind lies;
You think you cannot fly.

So I lend you my strength,
I help you to see,
But in the end
You still refuse to be free....

You claim to know and claim to love;
Your heart grows strong,
But doubt still clouds your will.

Your darkness within is being killed,
But it makes one last stand to show its power still;
Your mind begins to lose the fight;
Your heart becomes clouded-
Trembling beneath the darkness' might.

In fear you're held
Breathless still;
You're afraid to move-
Afraid to fail.

Becoming desperate for long-sought peace,
Your mind withdraws-
Wishing for sweet release...

No changes occur,
But shields are built;
One mistake, one flaw in how;
The darkness- your fear- inside is protected now.

Passion is replaced
With monstrous will;
Love is turned to hate
Which now you use to fill
The emptiness now lying within your soul.

I take your pain;
Drink in the blood your heart bled...
I feel no fear
As I fight back your flood
Of lies trying to push me away.

I have but one goal- for you- to complete,
One hope driving me,
My need; your hidden wish to be free...
You already are, just realize and see.

This one has another... slightly more romantic version. I made the changes as I was posting it, and I refuse to reveal them. 8) Anyway... this is written about a friend whom I still hold relatively close, and whom I suspect is in love with me (for various reasons that wouldn't be on-topic here) for everything I've done for her. She has trouble letting go of doubt... if she did her life would be in a much better place right now. I do everything I can though, and that's all I can do.

Consuming Flame

As the streetlights shine
Our lives' fires dance to the sky,
But soon Death rains down
Dousing our lives' light.

In our fear we freeze;
An unseen threat draws close,
And in the subtle turns of the breeze
Time seems to slow to a halt.

While the cold downpour grows stronger
Approaching doom can be felt;
And though we wish we could run,
Against our end... nothing can be done.

As our minds become still
And our bodies are no longer affected by will,
A chilling touch reaches our spines;
Although we struggle to remain alive,
Death calls out in its hollow voice:

"This life is now mine!"

This poem... was just written in a lull of activity during which I was fascinated with death and how we don't always know when it will happen, but on some level we can feel it coming when it does. The title and first stanza is to illustrate our lives as a fire, it can burn only so long before going out... sometimes without warning... thus the rain.

Also... there was one more epic (in my opinion even) poem that I wish I could show you all... unfortunately both the rough and final drafts I included in a class portfolio which I never saw again. :cry: The teacher is sort of a friend of the family, but he stupidly left all the portfolios in his office during a time when he was being moved to a new office. The new person threw them out. It saddens me a LOT that I can't show you. Then again... some of it is kind of graphic- disturbing even, if you have a vivid imagination- so maybe it's better that I can't post it. It was about a soldier in a bunker under attack from biological weapons. It was something I wrote purely out of creativity and imagination. There was no inspiration to it at all other than possible realities- both in the past and future- of the world. (Do NOT!!! start any conversations about the controversy of that idea... just comment on the idea itself if you wish)

Chapter Four, the Execution

Watching it all from above from a chair, Lyen sat with his arms crossed.
He slowly pulled a silver throwing star out of his leg sheathe and threw it at the Nord.
"Arrgh" said the Nord.
Lyen watched him drop dead on the floor.

Grenkul saw his chance to flee. He blended into the shadows and blew the doors down.
"There he is, get him!" the guards yelled.
Grenkul forgot all about, that their helms were enchanted with Life Detection, so they could see him.
"Cogle!" he yelled. A skeleton horse with wings came out of the shadows.
He mounted it, and flew away.

While flying, he was wondering how the guards knew he were there.
"How, how how?" he thought. "Of course. It's that blasted Dunmer to Allinur. He must have fled and told the guards."
His havent got his revenge.
Yet.

@Dogmantra: Well, some guards do have mutton on them, also, i dont know that much about history. Havent had anything about the dark age yet.
@Teinaava: Thanks for...showing me my typos? Anyway thanks :)

this is the only one so far that i have written, it was about 2 yrs ago.

Stripped Away

Here I stand,
On weaken knees,
A knife thrusted in my heart,
I slowly start to Bleed,
A twistt of a turn,
You Stripped your love out of me,
I slump to the ground,
In tears of pain,
Hurting,
Waiting,
For the Love to return.

Speaking of which, someone I work with asked me, in all seriousness, if I had ADHD. I was incensed at the time, but given the fact that I'd just downed a shot of undiluted orange cordial to see what it tasted like I think it was probably justified.

Ah, yes, here is my wholly NOT plaguerized, entirely original, poorly formatted poem.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Raspberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Raspberry Fields forever.

Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.
It's getting hard to be someone but it all works out.
It doesn't matter much to me.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Raspberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Raspberry Fields forever.

No one I think is in my tree, I mean it must be high or low.
That is you can't you know tune in but it's all right.
That is I think it's not too bad.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Raspberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Raspberry Fields forever.

Always, no, sometimes think it's me, but you know I know when it's a dream.
I think I know, I mean "Yes," but it's all wrong.
That is I think I disagree.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Raspberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about.
Raspberry Fields forever.

(It takes a lot of working replacing "straw" with "rasp", so I don't want to hear it.)

Truly, I'd post some of my writings revolving around a few WoW characters however I'd likely embarrass myself.

Some day, you'll all learn of Erore McLynn IV, Dangren Coldsteel, Markyv Dorrick and the such.

Hmm, raspberries. What do you mean when you say replace straw with rasp?

Also - You a roleplayer in WoW? :P I'm in that community too.

I think he/she means that the poem was already written by someone else but used strawberries instead of raspberries.

Now my own short poem,

Who likes fruit when you have meat,
Meat is the way your supposed to greet

So don't eat a salad and don't be a veggie
Or else I'll push you off a ledgy.
:D :Twisted Evil:

Like it? I hope not. :? 8)

Indeed I am!

What realm do/did you roleplay on?

Let's see...
On Maelstrom, I had the Human Warrior Erore McLynn, on Kirin Tor was Doctor Gizmen Jaloo Fizzlecog, Gnome Warlock...On Thorium Brotherhood (With Deandra), I had dwarf hunter Brigadier Dangren Coldsteel. Let's see...I believe human Paladin Markyv Dorrick, Scarlet Zealot, was on...Pft...Y'know, I don't quite remember...Whatever realm had a Scarlet Crusade guild. (:P)

I played on Ravenholdt. Made a character named 'Tajomaki' - Night Elf druidess. I could make a character on any server/faction though if you ever let me roleplay with you though, she's long gone, but her biography still exists. :roll:

Normally, I'd be more than glad to accept, however I quit WoW a while back, just around the time the Expansion was released.

If you ever want to RP via UESP Private Message, though, I'd be glad to do so.

Er...I'm getting this a tad bit off topic...I'll edit this in a bit and put some of my MSPaint drawings up...

The Frigid Dagger

My travels had taken from the barren ashlands of Vvardenfel, to the disease infested swamps of Black Marsh. I've explored the Valus Mountains and traversed the Niben. I had more more septims than the Emperor himself. I was the best...but then there I was...standing in the bitter cold. My blade dry. My quiver empty. And I had but five gold pieces. I had been trudging through the snow for three days without rest. Not knowing where to go or who I could talk to after escaping from prison. It was one of the things I hadn't planned or even thought about. Where to start after everything had been taken from me.

After my attempt to assassinate Chancellor Ocoto, I expected people would be talking about it in the streets, the Black Horse Courier headlined "Dark Elf infiltrates White Gold Tower, nearly kills Ocoto," regardless of the fact that I failed. Instead, the Legion chose to keep what happened under wraps, fearing that the news of an elected official nearly being executed in his sleep, would lower moral throughout the Empire in the time of this Oblivion crisis. My sword came within an inch of his heart...and I achieved nothing for it.

My name was not known. My actions were not feared. I was just some Dunmer standing in the freezing cold. As I rambled onward, thoughts of "what's next" began racing through my mind. I questioned the very things that brought me to Cyrodiil. Would I find wealth here? Would I become an infamous killer? It had been so long since I thought about it, I could barely remember what brought me out of my cave in Vvardenfell? Perhaps this was it...maybe I was meant to be just another Dunmer, living day to day as a commoner. The very thought of such a life caused my insides to turn.

And then, through the trees, a lonely tavern atop a hill revealed itself, the clamor of it's no doubt drunken occupants pierced the Winter air. Seeing the tavern helped bring myself back into reality. For the past few days I had been a phantom, wandering aimlessly, leaving behind any recollection of society. As I neared the tavern, the thought of a warm fire and a mug of ale brought upon me a deviant sense of glee. I finally decided to go in, hoping to figure out what it is I must do.

As I approached the boisterous establishment, I began to suppress my feelings of failure and grief, wanting simply to escape the cold and relax, putting the past few days behind me, at least for the night. When I entered, I was not surprised to find an interior in shambles; people passed out on the floor, waving their mugs and slurring old folk songs.The roaring fire to my right quickly dispatched the numbness I'd felt for the past few days.

I took a seat and beseeched the bartender for a mug of ale. As I waited for my drink, I began to think of my life, questioning if the goal to become a known killer was attainable...or even sane for that matter. How could I become a notorious assassin, without being viewed as some mindless, psychotic murderer? Then, the bartender placed my drink in front of me. I exhaled, and let go all of my thoughts.

As I grasped the mug, all of my problems, my worries, and my regrets seemed to drain right out of me. I was no longer tense, or on edge. For the first time in years, I was at ease. I raised the brim of the mug to my dry, cracked lips. My hands trembling. And then, almost as quickly as this feeling of bliss was brought upon me, it all came crashing down.

Out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a drunken Nord stumbling towards me. I tried to quickly set my drink down, but before I could, he slammed into me, sending me collapsing to the ground. My ale poured all of me and my back was nearly broken.

"S-s-sorry mate...I didn't see ya there"

The Nord and his friends all shared a long, thunderous laugh, pointing at me and comically mimicking my fall. The Nord returned to his seat and started finishing his drink. I tried to maintain my composure, attempting to just brush it off, but I couldn't contain myself.

My hands began to clench and my teeth were grinding. My heart was pumping faster and faster as it burned like fire in my chest. Murderous rage began flowing through my veins. My body became so tense I couldn't breathe. All the anger I had ever felt was coming out all at once. I was mustering up all the strength I had, trying to control myself. It seemed though that my mind had no control over my body. Almost as if my emotions took over. I could feel my hand inching closer and closer to my dagger. The words "No! Stop!" were ringing inside my head. I began to shake, trying to regain control.

Finally, I accepted what my body wanted. I slowly placed my hand on my sheathe and began to calmly and casually walk towards the Nord, as to not alarm him and cause a scene. I motioned towards the Nord, trying to get his attention. Finally, he noticed me and reluctantly rose from his seat.As he staggered towards me; his friends didn't even notice his departure and continued on with their blather. As he grew nearer, I discreetly drew my razor sharp dagger from it's sheathe.

The Nord stopped inches from my face, his breath having the stench of a rotting goblin, eyes half open, and shirt stained with vomit. Azura knew what was keeping the Nord on his feet. Just as I was about to speak, the shimmer of the dagger caught his attention, his eyes widening with panic. He began to turn away but before he could, I grabbed his neck and pulled him into me as I rammed the cold steel into his gut, twisting it. The Nord grunted and hunched over. I pulled the blade out and placed my hand on the man's stomach. His breathes grew short. I quickly scanned the tavern; everyone seemed to be acting normally. Either they didn't notice...or didn't care.

I started to apply pressure to the gaping wound, in an attempt to prolong the Nord's life, so he could hear every word I had to say. I leaned close to the man's face, and began to whisper...

"If you knew who I was...if you had any understanding of the atrocities I've committed... after knocking me over, you would have been out the door before I could even get up, but instead you stayed and mocked me...making the biggest mistake of your life..."

Blood began to pour out of the wound, and I could feel the Nord slipping away. I had to try as hard as I could to keep him from dropping to the ground. With every passing second the Nord grew weaker and his pulse nearly came to a halt.

"...but it's my fault...I've failed. Had I accomplished my goal, we could have avoided this...you probably wouldn't have even left home. You'd be sitting in your favorite chair with your doors locked and your windows barred, fearing the vicious and heartless Dunmer assassin...but instead, you don't get to leave here alive tonight...it's my fault...and I'm sorry."

I loosened my grip on the Nord, his face pale and his eyes rolling to the back of his head. I raised my dagger to his throat, taking one last look at his face in it's final moments of life. I quickly jerked the dagger to the right, blood spraying across my face. I released his lifeless body, and it plunged to the ground with a thud that shook the building. This caught the attention of the taverns patrons. The room grew silent. All eyes fixated on me and the motionless body by my feet. I wiped the dagger on my leather cuirass, smearing away the blood.

I locked eyes with every person in the tavern. My aim was to stare them down. Discourage any "heroes" who might try and save the day. I knew I could cut down anyone who approached me; but if they started to attack in numbers, then I would've been easily over powered. This is why I rely on stealth and my keen marksman eyes. I had put myself in a risky situation. One I'd never experienced before. Standing in the the middle of a bar, with nothing but a dagger, and twenty drunken Nords, Orcs, and Redguards between me and the door.

I knew from their eyes, I must look demented...blood dripping from my face, breathing heavily. This seemed to bring out the cowardice in all of them. One by one, they turned away from me and continued what they were doing. Gradually the room grew louder, and returned to normal. Even the Nord's friends were still sitting at their table, none of them looking at me. Little did they that I was undoubtedly just as frightened as them.

I slowly placed my dagger back in it's sheathe. As I looked down at the blood on my hands, it brought back memories from my childhood. It me remember why chose to become what I am. The anticipation before a kill...and the feeling of ecstacy. The stalking of targets. Feeling them just as their entire life comes to an end. This is what I was born to do.

I reached in my pocket for my five drakes, and tossed them towards the bartender. I'd no longer need gold. I proceeded towards the door at a cautious pace, making sure my back was to no one. I reached the exit and bolted into the cold night, no longer thinking of "what's next," but rather "who."

Arotos, you just reminded me about the comics/drawings i made in MSpaint.
Here they come:

Raven, the Order, and the Princess comics were my favorites!

One more cliched poem. I haven't given this one a title. Just wrote it last night. :o

In fear she lies,
Letting darkness cloud her mind.
In the light he sees her eyes-
Full of hope and pain.

Without a thought-
Not knowing why-
He runs quickly to be by her side,
Wishing only to see her smile.

She opens up and talks for hours;
He listens and feels-
Both thinking, "this pain is now ours;"
And the sun begins to set.

Through the night
Their hearts take flight,
And struggling through new-found might,
They both begin to love.

He soon decides Fate
Without any fear or hate;
And silently he goes to her heart's gate,
Hoping she loves him too.

The story still goes on today-
Her mind unsure but wanting him to stay....
Her heart whispers love-she worries and doubts,
But he hears it too,
And to her he vows...
His heart will be forever true.

To Raven:

The second one was messed up. :lol:

I guess I have to make up another cruddy poem then, so.....

I was walking down the street when I had to eat
I saw a raven in the sky, I decided it had to die.
I was hungry no more because the raven hit the floor.
Now the raven is pushing up a flower, as The King retains his power.

:D :Twisted Evil: :P

King: That last line doesn't work for me... shove "His" before power and then it should be the right amount of syllables.

What have i dont to you, since you hate me so much?
And what do you mean with it's messed up?

But...

STOP! Poem time!

The ruler of the World, used to be Ape 'Cheese' McLord
But The King killed him, with his own sword.
He took control of the World, while George W. Bush hurled(threw up).

His mighty servant, the Dark Lord
Stood in his battlegear, his minions roared.
To join a war, between two strong armies
According to King, they were smarmies.

Then came a raven flying
Delivering a message, first King thought it was lying.
But the message were true and it said
"King, let's join our forces and be unstoppable!" The words flew around in King's head.

But as wise as The King was, he sent back
The raven who was covered in black
To deliver a message, that said so
"I'll suggest your suggestion, I wont say no"

They joined forces, and unstoppable they became
There was noone who didnt know their name.
Then Wolf, Dog Whiperer and Daedricmudcrab, came
And politely asked for their name.

They said Raven, King and Dark Lord
They joined their forces, fighting sword by sword.

Can we please be friends now?

Could you please put up a warning before any links that contain profanity or anything that's otherwise NSFW?
