A Whole New Song to Sing
Until my Dragonborn Illa is cured of Vampirism, I will be steering clear of Vingalmo’s quest where you have to turn your spouse into a vampire. For the purposes of Illa’s story, her husband (Viarmo, the Headmaster of the Bards’ College – yay console!) is going to remain a mortal. But what if she did turn him?..

What's our next move?
Presenting Illa the Dovahkiin (in the middle, I changed her hairstyle again to mark a new chapter in her life) and her dysfunctional little family: Uncle Teldryn and (ghostly) Grandpa Modryn. Because I like making up families for my OCs among NPCs.

The trio is apparently adventuring on Solstheim, as indicated by a screenshot-based background (the Retching Netch) and the various paraphernalia scattered on the table.

Music Chairs

While doing the quest Mazoga the Orc, I beheld a bunch of bandits sitting up and down on the chairs at their campsite. It looked as if they were playing a kids’ game of music chairs.Image

What program do you use to draw these Norroen?

Elsewise, nice to see you pumping out more charming drawings. The sly wit and silly characters are always enjoyable and refreshing.

Thank you, Venger, for the appreciation! Image
For the comics, I use Inkscape (many thanks to Codex, a former moderator here, who recommended the program to me! I use it with great pleasure and remember him with kindness to this day).
As for ordinary drawings, I make traditional pencil lineart and colour it in Photoshop Elements.

Sometimes I can't concentrate on my typical portrait pictures. So then I just draw random things. This is one of those things. I imagine him to be very clumsy with those big awkward feet of his. Hobbling around clumsily, tripping over himself when he's hurried. I also imagine asplit personality, a sweet harmless little oaf, but temperamental, a wild thing when he gets angry. His clumsy hands/arms don't do him much good either. I set out making an ugly little man and for some reason I find him quite cute. I think it's imagining this tiny guy hobbling around getting all bent out of shape over the flies (which annoy the crap out of him) hurrying to catch them and toppling all over the place and getting madder. Lol vicious cycle.

Reminds me of Dali >_>

Here's a few sketches I did last night, I was bored to all high hell and figured I might as well draw.

Hidden:
Image
Was supposed to be a reptilian eye in a helmet of sorts. Did it to see if I could draw scales... verdict would be yes, but not well.

Hidden:
Image
This is just a sketch of what a certain priest from WFU was supposed to look like, I couldn't get it off my mind, so, I figured I'd just sketch it and get it done with. I ended up drawing it at a pretty [&@%!] up angle, so, if it looks like he's walking down a hill or falling backwards... that was not intentional.

Hidden:
Image
This one was just a drawing of.... something. I don't really know. It was kinda quick and dirty, but, oh well.

Hidden:

And then just a quickie of some monster.
Was probably looking at too much Morrowind concept art beforehand.

Dali? The artist, or a character I'm not familiar with? It sort of makes me think of one of the creatures from a few fairy painting books I own. Often there is something in the back of my mind that i have seen before which comes out in my drawings.

I think you did good on the scales. And I also love the detail of the clothing in your second drawing. I know which creature the last one resembles from Morrowind but I don't remember the name. I think I've seen them in the ruins with the teleportation system in them. My favorite is the scene drawing, I love the subtle color and the dark appearance of the world.

The artist, definitely. Thought it looked a little surrealist.

Thanks for the comments, I could have done the landscape one a bit better (and I've actually been thinking about trying to do another version in watercolor and see how that goes over), but as I said it was quickly drawn, and not as much time was put into it as I had wanted.
I think that the monster ended up being Ascended Sleeper/Telvanni wizard concept art influencing it.

I think it would look great in watercolor. I've seen a lot of dark paintings with slight dramatic color that turned out awesome and had a great effect. They seem to have more.. emotion than realism and those are my favorite kinds of paintings. That drawing reminded me of some watercolor paintings I have seen.
I looked it up on UESP and Ascended Sleeper is what I was thinking of.

Since it's too huge to post here.
This is my latest thing that I bothered a few people in chat about already. It's an illustration for a related myth about a guy and a fish.
Something like that.
The myth hasn't been written yet.

It's all done by hand, and I really wanna keep making stuff in this style.
Oh, and it took about 4 months.

I've been practicing drawing basic anatomy lately, mostly just trying to get a hang of proportions and underlying structure at the moment. Also, being drunk might apparently make me a better artist somehow. >.<
I always tend to try and make everything look as realistic as possible, which really sucks when you're not actually that good at drawing but when drunk I actually managed to stick to some sort of stylization.

I messed up the Disciple's hand when inking it but otherwise I'm actually pretty happy with everything. Well, I make no comment about the feet, it's simply something I haven't studied yet. Image
And Mars, I drew that Kanaya for you. Image

A hairy nude dude. This one is drawn from a reference of Thorin Oakenshield and if the pose looks a little weird it's because he's supposed to have a person on top of him. ^^
Hidden:

I didn't use any direct references for this one 'cept for the wing structure but it's more or less a guy name Tyldak from the Elfquest comics. I've always been fascinated by his weirdly emaciated body and I'll probably try to finish the other wing someday, also, how do crotches work?
The lines were really faint in the original so I just made them a little more visible in photoshop before uploading.

Hm. Maybe drinking will make me a better writer. Lovely stuff there, Tea!

I did a bit of writing tonight instead of sleeping like a responsible adult. Wrote a short little Fire Emblem story, specifically. You can read it here if Fire Emblem is your thing and if you like awkward conversations about telling your best friend about your intentions to mack on his daughter from the future.

It's not my best work, but it feels good to finally write a bit for once. This summer was supposed to be full of that, but I kinda lazed out.

My experience with Fire Emblem extends to playing with those guys in Super Smash bros. ^^

I learned a new photoshop technique yesterday. In the context I picked it up it was specifically used for drawing grass but it can be used for a bit of everything so I made a bunch of abstract doodles last night instead of sleeping. I really need to start saving up for a tablet though, drawing this kind of stuff with a mouse if just painful.

Wall of doodles here.

Woo, grass.

I imagine this could be used quite well for feathers as well.

Yay, space flowers!

Some kind of underwater thing of doom, I guess.

Trying out some glow effects and I could definitely see this used for drawing scales as well.

Oh, I'm surprised I never posted this! I'd made some Elder Scrolls Christmas ornaments out of air-dry clay about two months back.
They took a couple hours apiece; the Oblivion one was easiest by far, and the ESO one was hardest, simply because of all the little scales and stuff.

Not sure if I have posted anything here so far (if I have lemme know, my memory is a disaster) but sometimes I draw things.
This one was roughly inspired by that cinematic eso trailer;

Currently she's to shady for my taste and I'm also not satisfied with the background, but I'll be fixing that in due time.

Oh, those are really pretty! Love the first one.

I'm no arteest, but I do write. I do stuff for the kinkmeme, but I de-anon almost everything on my AO3 account.

Example, 'cause it's the shortest thing I've written (I consider myself pretty longwinded). It was for Skyrim's 3rd anniversary:

Spoiler:
likelolwhat wrote:
Dear Skyrim,

Three years already? They just fly by when you're having fun, eh? Heh. Anyway, I wrote a poem, it's not much but I hope it expresses the depths of my feelings for you:

Skyrim, my love, now three years since the day
You came into being and stole my life away,
I write an ode to you, Skyrim, Your Majesty,
King (or Queen?) of all games, in all your glory:

Thanks for making a challenge of every peak,
Thanks for helping us Khajiit who like to sneak.
Thanks for the vamps and the werewolves too,
Thanks for Forsworn (though they don't thank you).

Thanks for making everything try to kill me,
(Can't even take a walk, have to fight or flee)
Thanks for the shakedowns and clink of gold,
Thanks for persuasion, though I often get trolled.

Thanks for the glitches, they're good for a laugh,
Thanks for making warriors able to use a staff
Thanks for skill points, attributes and perks,
Thanks for Marcurio, though he's a bit of a jerk.

Thanks for the Reach though I never returned,
Thanks for Windhelm, there I've also spurned.
Thanks for Hjaalmarch and the Pale too,
Thanks for 'carls, stewards and friends anew.

Thanks for the mods, though only for PC,
(That's how I like it, being holier-than-thee.)
Thanks for the Brotherhood and Cicero's madness,
Thanks for Daedra, Thieves, and Mercer's badness.

Thanks for Greybeards and Ulfy's ego,
Thanks for Lydia, long-suffering amigo.
Thanks for Alduin, I guess (that scum!)
Thanks for main quests I can run away from!

Mountain flowers are red, mountain flowers are blue,
Thank you, Skyrim, for purple mountain flowers too.

—Your anonymous admirer

But my favorite fill I've written is probably this one.

The summary says it all:

Quote:
Angelica Laguardia, social worker with the Imperial Department of Domesticity, Children and Families Division, pays a visit to the Dragonborn's house. Predictably, chaos ensues.

Then I've got that ESO epic project I've been working on called When Coldharbour Calls. It's... pretty angsty. Wouldn't your life be too if you had to deal with half the stuff you average Vestige has going on? (It's not a novelization, by the way, but it does borrow heavily from the AD storyline. With added does of AAAANGST.)

This is small and simple, but when I saw these rhinestones in the store I thought they'd make my plain round refrigerator magnets less boring.
