Also which armour do you lot think is the best looking armour?
Just looks not actual functionality.

I'm liking the Necromatic armour but.. oh damnit you guys are making me wanna play DoW again :/ sigh.

For me it would have to be Wraitbone or whatever the stuff Kabalite warriors wear in the Dark Eldar.

Warlock and farseer armour is nice too, Robes + wraithbone.. ooooh.. epic models.

Dark Eldar Archons are cool to.

Their headgear makes me go "Wtf" truly.
But I however love the look of some of their tranport and such.

It's just Eldar stuff with spikes- unless you're talking about the Archon headgear which is just strange.
Also the look of their vehicles is one of the major things that mad me go Dark Eldar in the first place.

With the imperial guard it's basically a number game..
They can kick anyone's ass with unlimited resources.

What drew you to your current army? Was it looks? Plays style? Etc?

It was lore. The Imperial Guard is composed of Billions of regular Human beings taking on monstrous alien creatures, daemons and powerful alien weaponry and making the Astartes look like nothing more than puffed up glory stealing jerks. For every hero commemorated, a thousand martyrs die unmourned and unremembered.

For me I was doing it mainly on looks and the eldar box looked so pretty, but the necrons looked badass..
Somehow Necrons won.

My favourite armour based purely on looks is Eldar Shadow Spectre Aspect Warriors, although they aren't GW canon (Forge World) for GW canon armour I would probably say Beaky Space Marine Mk VI Corvus or Mk VIII Errant. Although Squat Exo armour is pretty cool.

My reason for picking Chaos Space Marine (Nurgle & Tzeentch, not a big fan of Khorne or Slaanesh) and Orks, is that I can go conversion mad. Also Orks were utter bonkers and the most fun to play with in earlier editions especially Mad Boyz who GW have recalled to the fold. I'm also doing a small Space Marine army purely due to the last issue of White Dwarf as their White scars looked so bad ass.

With my Dark Eldar (chosen army) it was looks and lore- I loved their pointiness and the sleek looks of their vehicles, and I loved the fact that the Eldar had a darker Cousin.

My favorite armor in game is the Tau Fire Warrior armor. It's a very distinctly Samurai themed look.

I forgot the Tau, d'oh!

Watch out- White scars are hell to paint, I recommend using the spray paint to do the white as it's easier than using a brush.

Problem is my white always comes out light gray, which is a shame because white armour looks awesome (Stormies).

If you base your models with something like Kommando Khaki it helps- or you can but the paints they recommend in the white dwarf issue (yes I have it).

Of all the fantasy settings Warhammer is my favourite. I write fanfics, collect armies and invest an unhealthy ammount of hours in all kinds of Warhammer computer games.
