Ha, I got them in a drop about a week ago.

In other news, I have even more Stranges to sell.

Primarily Soldier weapons.

Rocket Launcher, Direct Hit, Liberty Launcher, Equalizer. I also have a Flare Gun I don't particularly want, and a Sandman I'd be willing to give away for the right price. Also, a Strange Revolver, again for the right price.

Uh, some things I want:

Strange Market Gardener, Strange Mackerel, metal's always nice, nifty hats are nice too. And just about anything you can spark my interest with.

A bit of scrap metal? It's worth double.

You one reclaimed for a weapon?
That's 6 regular items, no one will make that.

You'll be lucky to see anything more than 1 scrap for a normal weapon from anyone who isn't an absolute shmuck.

It's made by that, sure. But that's because making anything is difficult. I rarely do it.

The bazaar bargain is made with a Machina. Doesn't mean one is a better gun.

besides, It's not like you'll get reclaimed metal from it if you break it down. You'll get 1/2 a scrap.

The crafting worth of an item =/= the trading worth. Look at how much you need to make the Solemn Vow then try and persuade someone to trade you all that piss for it.

I bought Scozzar's carbine for 2 scrap. And then I picked it up on a random roll not 5 minutes later :D It was a good trade regardless - now I have another good humored MvM player on my friends list! Good playing with ya last night

FWIW the cow manglers I was offering for free last page are gone now - broke 2 of em down for scrap and gave the last to Scozzar

It's like everyone is suddenly getting into it.

Not really. I mean, sure, you just saved yourself 2 dollars but the #46 crate is still in circulation. I desperately wanted to get ride of my 4(!) Shivs.

I just scammed Mars out of two strange weapons, a valuable strange part and a name tag.

Why are they a big waste? I'd love a RoBro3000.

Sadly the Fall Key doesn't exist, so I find it hard to waste any money on it, even though I want to. Goddamnit, Valve.

Good to know you're aware of the crate's mechanics despite the small hitch of it not being usable yet.

Well, shouldn't you know what it is before proclaiming it useless? There's no other way to get this item as far as I know, and the crate will only be available for around two weeks. You can uncrate one (and there's still the chance of an unusual) and get a cool item. What the item actually is:

You linked to the wiki yourself, and could've just clicked on the item, but here you go anyway

Nope, it's also a MVM Mann Up mode drop if you use a Tour Ticket, I think. Could be Surplus vouchers to get it, though. I dunno.

You can buy them for £12, which is why I'm assuming a (presumably) £2 key for a crate with a 99% chance of getting one would not be Valve's plan. I wouldn't be too shocked if they snuck another mechanic in to mess with the hackers then revealed the real one when they put fall keys into the update.

Well, it's still somewhat rare, and the crate provides an almost guaranteed drop. And let's face it, you'd be way more happy about an unusual anyway. This crate is a win-win.

@Scozzar: Something seeming like a waste to you =/= being useless. Hats are important. Really, really important. Really, this game is all about hats. The game you've been playing is just a mini-game you play while looking for new hats.

The whole purpose of that FPS is to earn random drops to melt down into refined metal to craft hats. The challenge is knowing which weapons will be worth keeping to improve your performance to get drops more quickly.

Alright, the hats in that crate look pretty darn cool. Finishing my tour of duty may take a bit longer.
