ACTUALLY, Valve planned ahead for this, and made only a small percentage of them Mann Up. All the others are normal, and don't take a ticket.

So, no, you DON'T need the ticket to play.

The items you get from manning up are cosmetic, right?
and if someone uses a squad card, everyone gets them.

Seems fine to me.

In other news, i have 2 hours left till The update is applied.

what

I've already seen it in action. If you want to speed up the download, set your Download Region in the Preferences/Options to Pakistan.

They have super fast interwebz and DLing.

Um. Yeah, I know. That's what I said. Mann.Co server. That doesn't include all Valve servers. I just found out that you get an item for every time you win a match, so I am not peeved anymore. I didn't have this information when I posted.

I'm in India.
I doubt it will make a difference.

And that's because I have an internet speed of 1 mb/s.

First time posting here, never like doing this, but anyhow. I just got TF2 for free off my steam (I originally played it on console and didn't really like it, but when I noticed it was free I thought 'why not'), I have started liking it this time, but I have noticed that I don't do particularly well. Is it just one of those things where if you play it plenty enough you get better?

Nobody's good at this game at the start. You'll learn the strengths, weaknesses and quirks of the different classes after a while and find out which playstyle suits you the best.

So I've tried to play Mann vs Machine about six times today, but either I had to leave before the wait time elapsed or the servers crashed and I couldn't join anything. So ... fun times.

Mann vs. Machine: It's all the fun of the regular wait for a match, minus you ever actually getting in. With the added bonus of breaking the item servers for everyone else who just wants to play the game!

It's actually extremely good fun. Once it settles down a bit and stops breaking things it'll be a classic. You should see how rapidly you can get the sniper rifle to fire, or how many grenades you can hold in the launcher with the upgrades. Cathartic doesn't do it justice; robots literally disintegrate before you.

Getting consecutive head shots with the huntsman on robots is brilliant.

Especially after everyone on your team is complaining about what a stupid choice you made for the map.

I complain if we have a sniper ONLY if we are in need of an Engineer to make a dispenser and teleporters.

Also, I managed to create Robin Walker's Valve Rocket Launcher...with a upgraded Liberty Launcher. :D

Thanks to my desktop's tendency to overheat due to a dodgy fan, I'm now relegated to using my laptop. It's more than capable of running TF2, I bought it so I'd be able to run 3D modelling software and Photoshop on it (and it wasn't cheap, either, my entire earnings for four months went into it) but it doesn't have TF2 installed and Steam's on the go-slow at about 900KB/s.

I wanna kill some robots. It's really fun. Rapid-fire grenade launchers with a capacity of 10 are fun. It's all fun.

Attention anyone playing Pyro: Please extinguish burning teammates. Unless you have the backburner, in which case you better be damn effective with it to not want to waste the ammo.

Nah, it's just the fact is, those servers aren't used as much as say, the US - New York content servers. Therefore, less OH GOD 50KB/S THAT IS THE HIGHEST I HAVE SEEN TODAY issues.

To the people complaining about internet speed.

My highest possible is 1 mb/s.
So deal with it, it's not that bad.

Once the London servers stopped being so busy, it went back up. 900 seems slow when you've told someone you were going to play but then have to wait 5 hours for the game to install.

I'm used to my teammates not giving a damn, so I instinctively go running for healthpacks...
