How do I explain this.. We are going from being very very very to slightly less faster till we drop from hyperspace

No, G-forces or inertia shouldn't have any effect on ya. It's not like we're being forcefully ripped from hyperspace or having a premature slipspace exit

We will safely drop out of hyperspace, before eventually resuming cruising speeds.

Now if we were firing up the engines to initiate hyperspace under normal circumstances. Then yes, proper safety and fastening belts would be appropriate

Then why was there a service announcement telling us to prepare ourselves for dropping out of hyperspace?

Because if we smash into some asteroid the moment we drop out, I thought it would be nice to let you know

Newsflash, if this ship goes, so do I. Not to mention I'm not the one piloting or maintaining this ship's vector >_> I'm not the only A.I on this vessel

Don't blame the messenger for notifying the obvious

Why are you doing anything to do with the ship's piloting or vector maintenance?
Navigation is nothing to do with you. In fact, it's KingFeraligatr's job.
How come you've gone from being the medical A.I., to literally appointing yourself a part of every function/job on the ship?

Ensign Cassandra isn't set to arrive for a while, so I don't know if it works yet. But if we're crashing and all about to die, I'll take my chances and try escaping to safety send myself back a week to warn you.

Good news about my research though, I've gotten to Chapter 5 of Steins;Gate. And their time machine uses Kerr Black Holes. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I'm not up for travelling through time if it involves black holes. I'd rather not turn into an endless piece of spaghetti.

Also, I don't think you need bother. Beta was just being dramatic about the asteroid. You know how A.Is. like the drama.

To clarify this, my sole and primary duty upon this ship and mission is to insure the safety of as many personal to the best of my ability.

Why else do you think I help monitor, assist, and manage all ship's functions that are vital to that condition, including joint operation over specified systems(I.e the engines or slipspace drive* or those of mutual importance(I.e power source or reactor)

To clarify, excluding all designated personnel and secondary support, more passive and life supporting systems fall under my domain where as the more.. Intensive and active systems like defense fall under Dark Spark's authority. (Saying it's a 50/50 split is like a gross misrepresentation and underestimates the sheer power and size behind a military A.I of that quality) This of course is subject to drastic change with the introduction of subsequent A.Is, for obvious reasons
*:
AND, for the sake of transparency. My sole role and jurisdiction within those systems are to help regulate and intact safety procedures in order to prevent critical failure or avoidable damage

As far as actually running and managing those systems, that's between the designated operatives and Dark Spark
As to why you feel I am self appointing my role beyond my boundaries and was previously(and currently) in charge of the medical bay. The fact alone, nothing has changed, except for the change of my title to reflect my duty(and ability). "To insure the safety of as many personal to the best of my ability" Sounds alot like a doctor, yes? Hence the original title

Now ignore the fact that I am also intrusive and 'nosey' upon other procedures and am more than willing to supply recommendations or info updates.. Well, that's just part of the full package

Dramatic? I wouldn't say it so. But neither am I concerned (I mean, we got blasters for a reason. Right?) Dramatic would be me saying we could dive straight into a star if we weren't careful.. Which can happen too.. Btw..

Sorry, I thought you wrote, "I'm not the only one piloting this ship. My mistake.

Thank you for your explanation regarding my query. It has been very informative and helpful.
Just one counterpoint is that I wouldn't say it is necessarily a doctor's job to ensure the safety of the crew, that would probably be the Chief Safety Officer's job - you would be more on the health side, but I can appreciate how the two certainly coincide.
Quote:
Well that's just part of the full package.

In that case, can we have a bit less full package? Just to take the edge off the A.Is.....K.I.A. factor.

Ha ha, it worked! I sent Ensign Cassandra into the future. And to think, Beta doubted me. Although it did seem to have some unexpected side effect...

Still, I can finally declare myself The Master of Time and Space! Yeah it's a Doctor Who reference, bite me.

So, you're the Master? Could have sworn I destroyed you years ago.

What? It's a 20 year old game.

Oh and i would advise checking your scanners. You do not want your ship's AI to confuse 3 flecks of grit as 3 black holes then be told that the thing with space is that it's dark and the trouble with grit is that it is also dark.

In fact, get rid of your AI and just hire a monkey.

Wait.. What? H..how? Kerr? Kerr?! What have you done?! Uh uh. One Ensign Cass is dreadful. Two is just disastrous.

Just, Just, Just, Just, Just, Just

[Invoking De-Rationalizing Algorithm]

...Okay.. Okay..

If my understanding of the law of conservation of mass and the Quantum paradox of duel existence is to not be taken lightly.. We need to quickly have one less Ensign and ensure contact between the two does not occur.

Now I would like to reach for a blaster, but I sort of lack the arms to do so. But I would very much prefer to remove much of the guess-work on how the universe will correct this 'glitch'. And I for one, do not want to be caught up in the collateral.

Cassandra #1:
No, no! Don't kill her! She comes from an alternate universe.

Cassandra #2:
It's true. Your time-travel technique didn't actually work. Your Cassandra was sent into our universe, and our Kerr sent her back, along with me. I'm here for research purposes.

Sounds like a horrible universe to me

Unless somehow it's achieved a level of passive aggressiveness my processors can't even comprehend..

In which case, it's entire existence needs to be erased.. Immediately

If this is anything like Bioshock: Infinite and Cassandra #2's Kerr sounds like Jennifer Hale then I can't help but feel that I got the short end of the stick.

But Cassandra #2's Dave being good certainly explains why my experiment was completed first. If our Beta valued human life more he'd never have let me attempt to send Ensign Cassandra through time using an untested device. Especially because it didn't do what it was supposed to.
