There are three switches downstairs. Each corresponds to one of the three light bulbs in the attic. You can turn the switches on and off and leave them in any position.

How would you identify which switch corresponds to which light bulb, if you are only allowed one trip upstairs?

Spoiler:
Mentally number the switches 1, 2 and 3.
Throw switches 1 and 2.
Wait for a while, then return switch 1 to its initial position and leave switch 2 on.
Go up to the attic.
The bulb that is lit corresponds to switch 2. The bulb that is not lit but is hot to the touch (i.e. has only been lit recently) corresponds to switch 1. The remaining bulb (unlit, cold) corresponds to switch 3.

I will give flow to the topic with a quick riddle:

Spoiler:
Everyone knows that the four cardinal points and the time of day can be defined by looking at the sun. Can the same be done by looking at the full moon?

Yes, in a pretty much similar way to using the sun (position in sky, shadow made with sundial) however it is less accurate and harder to determine.

Yes is indeed correct, but there are certain differences. Could you please elaborate a little? :)

EDIT:
The answer:
Spoiler:
Just like the sun, the moon is highest over the horizon when it’s in the south. At this point it gives off enough light to be able to discern shadows of objects (say, on a sundial). But the difference is that the shadows in the moonlight are shortest at midnight. The shadow’s direction will point to the north. Knowing where the north is, we will be able to establish the other cardinal points as well.

Even though Aarah did not give a complete answer, they were the closest to solving the riddle. Thus: your turn, Aarah! :)

I didnt know the full answer. Interesting!

Here's a a new one...

You are given two ropes and a lighter. Each of the two ropes has the following property: if you light one end of the rope, it will take exactly one hour to burn to the other end, but it doesn’t necessarily burn at a uniform rate.

How can you measure a time period of 45 minutes?

Spoiler:
Of course you can! Just Light both ends of one rope, and one end of the other. After 30 minutes have passed, the first rope will be entirely burned and thirty minutes will be gone form the second. Now light the unlit end of the second rope, 45 minute timer!

How would there be 45 minutes left on the rope if 30mins had passed? There would be another 30mins.

Not if both sides were burning.

EDIT: Updated the response, a bit to be clearer.

A room has mirrors as its walls, floor, and ceiling. There are no seams, and there is an invisible, yet glowing magical light glowing in there. An invisible camera or magical invisible eyes are in there, allowing you to see. But what DO you see?

But you are not in it. Nothing is in it. Yet via magic, or a camera behind a two way mirror (thus making it invisible), you will not see the seer.
