Surely, all of my hard work of confusing, well, everyone throughout the years deserves a few UESP points. ;) That and i may be convinced to abandon my plans of total UESP domination via comic book plots that make even the joker go "no, just no." Oh and me and Math along with it's superior british brother, Maths have an agreement. I stay away from it and they don't get brutally denied their existence by a supervillian or i get to slaughter them and for some reason, it would be Quick time event related. chances are, i would find this developer of Real Life and punch them in the face. As this game suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks, i mean, if they put in shoddy QTEs, i will punch them repeatly and rip off their arms... *goes on a very not safe in depth descrpition of what he would do the to developer*

My new page posts are usually short and have no context.

I never get to be the new page poster and for a good reason. I...

Time to rethink the nature of your posts then. :P

I think this is the case with pretty much all first posts in GD.

Probably a little late, but I can give a real answer for this. Back when I'd play Star Craft with my brothers, one of them had a special program, a hack, that removed the fog of war, allowing him to see the entire map. Thus, allowing him to easily plan ahead on how to defeat me, and making sneak attacks impossible. In modern First Person Shooters, some people have ways to see through walls, when it's not intended by the developers, giving them an unfair advantage, once again by "hacking" into the game files. Some people also have aim bots that are able to make impossible shots easily by reading the code of the game. All of this can be put together into what we now know as "hacks" or "hax", since many people in competitive games use various hacking tools to manipulate the game they're playing to give them an unfair advantage, which as we all know, is considered cheating, the synonymous nature of the two terms were inevitable.

Said hacks can also be identified and described in certain cases as "l337".

Cheats and hacks are only a hairline apart in implementation in the first place. Infinite lives in a game via a key-sequence code is barely different than tinkering with the code. Only difference is, the sequencer is a programmed shortcut...To my limited understanding anyway.

It's only cheating if you get caught. Me, I do the opposite. I hack the games so my opponents have aimbots, no fog of war, the ability to always see me, infinite resources, etc. This way, I know it is a pure test of skill between myself, and my opponent who is playing with a handicap to keep it sporting. I, of course, always win, or the enemy clearly cheated.

In the original Star Trek canon, it was accepted that James Kirk only modified the Kobiyashi Maru simulator to remove the no-win variables in the test, turning what was impossible into a possible (yet difficult still) scenario. He "fixed" the test. He hacked it.

In the JJ Abrams' Star Trek canon, James "The Jerk" Kirk snuck a One-Shot mod into the program and won without lifting a finger. All to declare that the test was stupid and he was not. He cheated.

And as to TLD's other insight into hacks: using an axe or machete in that fashion is bound to nurture some repetitive stress injuries to the wrist and elbow. Follow through with the stroke, transferring weight from your legs to your hips to your arms. You'll be dismembering with fewer tries and less spatter from repeated blows.
Mind you, living bone has much the hardness of very stiff rubber or plastic, so one can cleave through a limp with surprisingly less effort than you imagine. A carcass that has been butchered and hung has had its bones dry and harden in the process, which is why test-cutting a dead subject is a different proposition from a live one.

PS: I just looked back at your post. You were joking. Pay no mind to what I've said here.

If anyone has the right to be called UESP's worst lurker, it is me! I mean, i've been stalking all of you withou...

i mean...... Weasel has been stalking all of you without you realising it.

Spark, i don't need weapons to disemember my foes. I just have to use a single claw and boom, no more arm, no more legs and when i get bored, goodbye foe and hello organs for me to sell. Oh and i sometimes do it on random UESPers. Just to remind them of why i'm the fricking dovah.

Ah, I see, this makes much sense!

Isn't a lurker supposed to hide in the shadows and not be seen or heard? You lot that are postin' in here are not very lurky.

Lurker sounds like a mid-level fantasy game enemy.

I think lurkers are supposed to wait out of sight until someone strays too close, that's when we leap out, stab them in the gut with a post and disappear back into the darkness.
