So nobody got it. Hrm.

You have been trying to solve season one, episode two of the British TV show Jonathan Creek.

The murderer is, in fact, still in the room. The clue was the placement of the drain pipe in the floor. The toilet would never fit over it without impeding the wall.

Hidden:

The murderer coerced the victim into the panic room, shot him, then locked the door. He then took a slow acting poison and bricked himself in on the back wall. It's interesting that people mentioned the butler and the idea of a gun tied to an elastic, because both of those idea came up in the TV show. In the end, though, it was the drain pipe that led the protagonist to figure it out. A bit esoteric, yes, but I didn't think it was too bad.

Since no one won, it's anybody's turn who wants it.

Hmm. I don't know about your toilet, but on mine the drain pipe is below the cistern, not the bowl. It snakes back then down. Without seeing the side of the toilet I'm not sure we would have been able to figure it out.

Thank you Musicman!Image

My puzzle might be called a game of numbers.

Hidden:
Fill the white grid with numbers from 1 to 10, using all of them and using each number only once, so that:
The sum of the numbers in the top row and the sum of the numbers in the bottom row equals 25.
The sum of the numbers in either of the columns equals 15.

Across the top, in order: 7,8,6,4
The left and right cells, respectively: 3,2
Across the bottom, in order: 5,10,1,9

Assuming I am correct, I have no puzzle again so someone else may of course go. I just like to solve these without ever having a new one in mind. I suppose I could always find one online, but I figure let someone else go who may have one of their own design.

That is correct, Scribbane! :)
An alternative solution could be:
Hidden:
7..8..1..9
3.........2
5..6.10..4

I have another quickie puzzle:

Hidden:
Fill in the bottom line, having revealed the logical sequence:
1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221
- - - - - - - - - - ?

The trick is each number is paired to represent the line above it. The answer can be thought of as:
One 1, One 3, Two 1's, Three 2's, One 1
Which describes in order the line above it.

Again, same thing if I am correct. I'm also going to bed now so you won't have to worry about me getting anymore for now haha.

scrib doesn't post puzzles, so I would say go ahead if you have one.

For a moment I forgot what this thread was, and I was thinking "Man, is this my reputation around here? ZeRoc posts puns, Avron has a battleship, and scrib doesn't post puzzles." Then I realized I was being slightly idiotic. But to answer the question directly, no I'm not posting, take it if you want.

No problem, I always have a puzzle ready.

5, 6, 6, 4, 4, 2, 3, 8, 5, 2, 3, 8, 7, 1, 7, ...

The answer is incorrect. :(

This puzzle needs an unorthodox approach. ;)

Kinda far fetched but I put my hands in the air like I don't really care.

I am happy to hear that 38 is your favourite number :P , but it's not relevant to the puzzle. The answer is incorrect.

Spoiler:
Is it 1? Each number in the series repeats once, so there are two 2's, two 3's, etc. 1 however is only listed once, and 9 is not on there at all, and since we know that 9 is the wrong answer, it might mean that 9 is never going to be in the series. This could also mean that the series ends with 1.

Nice reasoning, but the answer is wrong.
As I said, the puzzle requires a very unorthodox approach.

Ahh, I've been racking my brain so hard over this puzzle. Damn you Norroen! :p I've tried a number of quite unorthodox approaches, but so far none of them have produced an answer.

The puzzle isn't hard, there's really nothing to rack your brains over. It is what you might call an attentiveness test. Image

Yes! Got it :D. Not without hints, but still...
Spoiler:
The numbers represent the number of letters in the words introducing the puzzle. The next number should be 4, and it corresponds to the word "rule".
