Today is January 1, Tom's birthday is on December 31, meaning he was 17 on the 30th, turned 18 yesterday (which is also last year), will turn 19 this year (new year on January 1st), and will turn 20 next year.

Here is the serious answer. It is 50% due to the nature of dogs but the breeder may end up with another male puppy thus the chance is 33% however, the breeder may only have 2 puppies and the woman picked it up and stole it. The nieghbour wants to buy it thus will buy it from the woman instead of the breeder, however, that would be illegal thus no-one gets the puppy and the breeder ends up with the puppy again however, the neighbour buys the puppy and everyone is pleased. Aside from the woman but it doesn't matter. Or it's just 100% and the Breeder only has a litter of male puppies but only intends on selling two due to various reasons.
