You *could* say I've returned..

Or you could say I felt I was needed.

Or you could just say I was looking through the interwebs and thought "Holy [&@%!] I havn't been there in ages." and decided to pop in.

Your pick, really.

Glucose levels are fine but....the midichlorians are off the charts. The Force is strong with this one.

There's a pub just down the road from my house that is Jameson's based. The more you order, the cheaper they get. I once saw someone order 28 shots in one hit. They charged them for 14.

Dangerous... Yet life-affirming.

(For the record, the 28 shots were shared amongst the 28 people there. Not even us Kiwi's will let 1 person drink that much in one hit.)

Looking forward to the weekend, but first, let me list down the things that I need to purchase from the grocery store.

Bhhh. What was it, the year before last? During Patty's Day(and sorry Kerr for what I said) I drank a bottle and a half of Jameson with some cola to spread it out. Pretty much the only time I went on a long and mellow binge

You could be way more badass than that.

You're a nurse aren't you?

Bottle of Jamesons... Access to IV drips... Experience of finding the good veins... Free beds!

Don't remember the name of it but Jameson has another variety that's really smooth. Also, try High West for a sipping whiskey. So good.

I drink whiskey neat but if I'm out practicing pool or in a tourny or whatever I'll get a separate soda and mainly drink that while occasionally sipping said whiskey.

Post subject:  Re: General Discussion

High West? Never heard of it before. Also the only variant of Jameson I know is casketmate, which for someone who doesnt like hopps, is certainly something I'll never try

For me, most of my drinks I prefer straight and chilled. Savor the taste of my gin, rum, bourbon or whiskey ^-^ its only when I want something a tad different.. or ya know, an actual drink that I can have with a meal or wet my mouth.. thats when I mix em. Be it Whiskey&Coke(with lime!), Kraken Rum&Ginger beer, or Morgan&Coke. Out and about, I might order a manhattan or old fashion, but its fair to say I dont shy away from the strong flavors

That said, wine, mead, and cider exists too soooo.... :dur:

Of all things 'It's always sunny' had me thinking about this. One of the episodes charlie says "I think a nice rum and coke would go good with this chicken" or something like that. Ever since then I've been wondering how that works: pairing drinks with meals. Obviously this is a big thing with wine but haven't heard of it so much with liquor. That being said I dunno how to pair wine with meals either.

Speaking of meals...thinking about grilling pork chops but it's hotter than hell outside. They've been in the fridge for too long now so they need to be cooked today. I could cook em on the pan like a coward or maybe wait for the sun to set and have a later dinner, that way I can cook in the shade. What a rough life!!

I mean, typically you wouldnt pair drinks with meals that are, different, kind of like side dishes, just common sense. Like, you dont pair tequila with italian pasta, or cider n wine with chinese food. Ya also probably dont wanna pair drinks with distinct flavors with foods that'll just, muddle the taste, like bourbon with dessert or gin with.. well, almost anything

In my opinion, the rest just boils down to balancing tastes, like, you dont want sour when your eating savory n sweet. Tho I guess it helps things like beer or mixed drinks just go well with most meals, especially western. That said, folks still take this all too serious and be pretentious

Also I'm very suspicious to take Charlie's advice on any food >_> ya know, after milk steak was a thing. But ya, rum cola seems like a good match with meals

So, I don't believe in bucket lists. They are very harmful. That being said, the 1 thing on my bucket list is that you and I can reenact this scene:

Why would I dance? Leroy specifically asked for you by name. Who am I to stand in the way of his birthday wishes?

It takes more than a wig and a dress to make someone a lady.
And Beta dressing up? Hmm, well, maybe you like a bit of beard stubble to go with that frilly dress.
Plus, Guilty is not bad, but the most acceptable slow dance song is clearly Lady in Red.

Girls? On the internet? Are you sure? :wat:

Dresses are pretty comfy though, I don't feel like we should limit anyone. Y'all wanna rock the beard and dress, heck yeah!

I'm a trouser gal. Don't feel comfy in a dress at all. Only wear em if it's a fancy occasion like an evening meal out or such.

Aww. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
You can ping people to get their attention with @Beta, etc. (Whatever their Discord name is). And they will get a jingle if they're online. (Or see they got a ping when they login).

I was referring to these forums and yes I'm absolutely sure. Number exaggerated for humour but I think we all can agree.

You know what I think looks bad on gals? Tattoos. It's pretty popular over here it seems like 1/8th of the gals here have like full or half sleeves. Honestly this isn't all that bad since they're always really flowery but some gals get the patched together tats that eventually add up to a sleeve and it looks like they've gone to prison or sailed a pirate ship.

I love you now and I assume you're not wealthy so that should answer your question. That being said I may start sucking up quite a bit if you win said money.

Kinda reminds me I met a guy last night who won $50k on a scratch off.

@leroy
Agreed. I'm not a fan of a truckload of tattoos on guys either. I like the odd one here and there, but sleeves/whole chest, or up the neck, is not my cup of tea.
I do think having a few is kinda nice though, on anyone. If I was getting one I'd go for a more discreet back of the shoulder type small one; maybe an abstract celtic sort of design or a tiny dagger.
Do you have any tats?

That's fine then. Depending on how much I won, I would totally give you some of my cash. If you started being all nicey-nicey just to get more money, though, I'd cut you off. No dosh for leroy. Ain't gonna happen.
This story works on a two way street, yeah? So if you win the big bucks, I'd get some cash too?

50k? Wow, lucky guy! I hope he spent it wisely. Drinks were on him, I hope!
