If there is ever another Dovah on the forums that is as active as me, i get the feeling that there won't be a confusion between who is the Dovah that is loved and me. Unless we're both equally crazy then that could be an issue.

When Dohva was more active, I used to have to make sure I was spelling her and your names the correct way, and not get the spellings mixed up (which did happen from time to time).

And that is why Aarah rarely says hi in Discord anymore.

I think I may have prevented Dohva from correcting her username to Dovah because of confusion being that barrier though that said, the Sheo part of my name does make my account stand out more. Hopefully. If not, i've gotta to stand out even more.

I always say hi! (Or such like). Though sometimes I just launch right in.
The old IRC chat was more abundant with the hi's.
Whenever anyone came in it was hellos all round. Discord doesn't really do this, though that's likely because it doesn't come up with a 'entered chat' message so people don't know who's come in. (Although mibbet never gave that message either).
Discord is cool and all, but for me, it's kind of like a little coffee shop turning into a big brand Starbucks. I kinda like the little shop.

If Discord is starbucks, i'm glad i'm not paying for the coffee. Overpriced fancy coffee. I'll stick with my cheap instant stuff! I don't need overpriced stuff! Does this mean half of us own Macbooks and are writers but write in Starbucks and look down at everyone else? :O Or whatever that sterotype is.

I don't visit the Discord very much. Maybe I should go there more. It's just that whenever I go on, nothing's happening. Or else everyone's going "ELDER SCROLLS!!!" and I'm just going "elder scrolls!".

Unrelated; I hate when you want to give someone a hug, but they're all the way on the other side of the world. It's most annoying.

I'm the same. The only thing that I prefer about it is that it's integrated with another forum which I use so I can swap between the two with greater ease. But yeah definetely feels less homely than IRC.

Yesterday in work I also had to give an unprepared hour long presentation to my manager and all the seniors about some stats and data stuff. Luckily - while me a year ago would have frozen and just been unable to operate - final year in college helped me get over my chronic fear of public speaking: I had to give so many (prepared albeit) presentations that I just stopped caring. Though advice to all you managers out there: making your recent graduate hire launch into unprepared seminar is no fun at all.

Damn, I am never doing that again, then. I really hate getting hugs.

@Aarah: We're having a barbeque/pool party with my best friend's family, with fireworks and everything. And depending on timing, we might go see my grandma get some sort of Canada 150 award from her MP.

Assuming it doesn't rain I will probably be at a cookout. If it rains then shoot pool. Honestly though holidays like this I just like to stay inside and avoid the craziness.

I need to avoid large portions of the internet until I get a chance to watch the Doctor Who finale. Also, pfft, Cybermen. The Master/Missy is the best character in the show and we get two of them in one episode. That's what I'm looking forward to.

Went to that convention I mentioned last night. Pretty sure if Cassandra had heard Vic Mignogna say "Yeah... a heart made fullmetal." and how melancholic recording it was, she would have died on the spot. Possibly made worse by the fact that instead of being on stage he walked around the floor giving the mic to the people asking the questions, standing right next to them. I saw a Goatmom but she wasn't our Goatmom. Also nearly walked into Summer Glau. But yeah, had a lot of fun, brought back some knick knacks, glad I went.

Speaking of conventions, there is one in my town every year, it seems. Hopefully, next year is the year i can go. That said, I am most likely to not go even if I have the means to due to how busy I would likely be.
