I have Facebook but it's pretty much just a news page for me. I don't talk to anyone there, I haven't posted anything in a year and I don't comment on stuff either. I'm very active on Instagram and Snapchat though. But Instagram in particular.

True. If someone consents to a company monetizing their personal information in exchange for a service, that's their business. But, as noted previously, Facebook, Google, et al. will also (try to) track your browsing habits across the web without your knowledge or consent, without you needing to sign up for a Facebook or Google account, without providing any service in return (except to the advertisers to whom they sell the data), which not only crosses the line into greedy/amoral, but is in fact illegal under certain countries' data protection and privacy laws. Google was slapped by Canadian regulators two or three years ago (I believe) for keeping track of people's medical search histories (which is verboten under Canadian law), and Facebook has run afoul of multiple European countries' privacy laws (in response to which they whine that they can't do business without these shady practices).

And don't get me started on Microsoft and Windows 10.

Other than that, can anyone here sing? Like actually sing in key? I've been thinking about taking lessons but I have some basic questions. Where's musicman when you need him?

Depending on what your questions are, I could probably get answers. My dad sings in a band and one of my friends is in musical theater.

"Cassandra's Sister" is probably what we all would have called her anyway, so it's best this way.

No, we decided to go on pretty short notice so there wasn't time to even consider doing it. So if Cassandra was hoping she'd at least get to see pictures of me dressed as Loki or something, she'll be sorely disappointed.

People seem to mix Aarah and I up quite a bit, when it comes to quotes. I think that this is the third time it's happened.

For the record, I was here first, so she copied me.

I came up with the name Aarah when I was making my Skyrim Breton (before I'd ever visited the forums), so I didn't copy you, I promise!

(Though, if I was going to copy/get mixed up with someone, a Global Moderator/Forum Admin/Wiki Autoconfirmed User/IRC Channel Owner/Blog Admin/Facebook Admin/ESO PC-Mac NA Guild Advisor, is a pretty cool person to copy. )

I can remember being a bit confused by the two of you when I first joined the forums. ^-^

I also came up with my username from my first Skyrim character, an Altmer named Alarra.

Also while we're on the topic, I was digging through old files on my computer tonight trying to find a clip I'd recorded from Oblivion and found this screenshot from the IRC. Apparently even Aarah gets herself and I mixed up.
