Because I'm hopelessly idealistic? Which is true, although I don't think idealism is a bad thing. But yeah, I really value earnestness (so actually caring about things,) kindness and compassion, working with others instead of competing against them, I prefer to assume good faith when I'm interacting with people (within reason, obviously.) Also as stupid as I'm sure it sounds, I genuinely think the majority of people are good at heart. We're all flawed as all hell, people are complicated and people can do awful things no doubt about that, but a lot of that is circumstance which amplifies our worst characteristics or makes people ignore the humanity of others, I think if humans really were all inherently self interested [&@%!] then we wouldn't be annoyed that we screw up so much or be so effected by the suffering of others. Also, I'm pretty lazy.

And to be fair it was online quizzes, not me.

I'd always seen myself as a Ravenclaw, but the official quiz on Pottermore put me in Gryffindor, which I like about as equally.

For those who did the Patronus quiz on Pottermore, what did you get? Mine's a swallow.

I hate the Pottermore quiz, it gave me Gryffindor and my patronus is a field mouse.

Pottermore got terrible The quizzes were dumbed down, and it shows. Tried it once after its halcyon days had ended. Gryffindor, and something random for my patronus, like a...dog or something. Tried it again. Slytherin, and again, some random patronus. What even.

What do you guys think my patronus would be? I'm not sure. Toad? Bear? Iunno.

...What about Ilvermorny houses?

Honestly, I could see myself being chosen by Thunderbird, Pukwudgie, and even Wampus. ...Definitely not the Horned Serpent, I'm not all that scholarly. I'm actually 50/50 on Thunderbird or Wampus.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I agree it stinks now. I'm very not okay with the fact that they got rid of the chapter-by-chapter art and minigames and dumped the art in an exclusive edition of the books and replaced it with a Buzzfeed-esque site focusing on the movies ("The Coat That Made Daniel Radcliffe Jealous", "8 Times Harry and Ginny Were the Cutest Couple", "6 Times Snape was Impossible to Please"..... just really?)
My House was back from early access, and the only things I've come back for since the change were the Ilvermorny and Patronus quizzes (Patronuses aren't just completely random btw: it does depend on your answers).

As far as Ilvermorny the house I got was Horned Serpent. Guess I'm smart enough for that but not Ravenclaw?

I ventured over to do the quiz, but was put off by having to join just to do so.

What is Ilvermorny?

Ilvermorny is the American wizarding school which will supposedly have some role in (a) future Fantastic Beasts movie(s). Rowling wrote an actually pretty good story about its origins which is on Pottermore as well.

Ah, cool. I haven't seen the Fantastic Beasts film but would like to. I like the fact that it's set in the past.

Newgrange is the cool neolithic thing that relates to the solstice (albeit, winter) in Ireland, it's over 5000 years old, a shaft of light illuminates the inner chamber of the structure every winter solstice. It's actually older than Stonehenge.
