Or he looked into my ark of the covenant when i had lunch the other day and it is slowly destroying his mind.

I really should find a place to store my artifacts of madness to avoid incidents.

^Warehouse 13.

Speaking of the ark, as a child I wasn't allowed to watch the scene where they open the ark because my mother thought it was too scary.

But who would I trust to take care of it?

I'm surprised that they managed to get away with what is a pretty gory shot in a kid's film. It's horror terrority levels of gore.

If only she could see how PG movies look today

*Bad guy screams while crushed to death by a car*
*Gets a PG13 rating*

I probably wouldn't have been allowed to watch that (knowingly) if I was under 13.
Depends what else was in the film with it.

*Gets cut in half* PG 13. *gets exploded* PG 13. *gets exposed to Resident Evil:The Final Chapter* You're sick, film. You're sick! Bad film! Bad film! You don't do that! *slaps film* BAD FILM! Very bad! No. No.

Man, PG 13 seems to either be lenient at times or very strict.

That said, PG did allow the birth of Da Arnie baby from Junior and ermm... whatever that was baby from Son of the Mask.

Both Family films.

So PG 13 allows for erm.... er...

stuff like that but if you drop the F bomb, it is rated 15? Ratings are weird.

I've just been told i'm techincally rated AO/18. COME ON! How is that even possible!?

The Arnie baby in Junior isn't scary or gory or anything. Sure, it's creepy af but kids would probably find it funny.

(I think it's a good film too).

It's an outdated and abused system for rating, same applies for gaming <_< I mean honestly, the whole things needs an overhaul, with a stronger emphasis on the severity of the material or elements present, and the level of violence or mature themes

Tho, publishers aren't exactly all at fault for pushing mature themes into the larger market, even if that directly introduces it to a less than appropriate age group >_> I mean.. How many parents seem all too little concerned over the actual material and take it at face value or misconception? (Remember the Deadpool movie?)

"Oh, this video game? Sure I'll buy for ya. It's only rated T"
*On that day, was the day COD was overran by lil kids*

Arnold can't do serious drama. Good thing he went back to doing action films then conquered California as Arnold The Politican. Though, Conan the Barbarian would kick Arnold the Politician's ass then returned to film but as a shadow of his former self. Do we need to send Arnold back in time to stop him from turning into Politician Arnold so we can get more Arnold as Arnold things?

Yep. Beta.

To be fair, Deadpool did pretty much try to explain "I AM NOT A NORMAL BEING! I AM NOT FOR KIDS! I AM A [&@%!] SUPERHERO! THIS IS FOR THE FANS! I AM NOT LIKE SPIDERMAN! I AM NOT A FAMILY FILM!" But well, people can be rather lazy or don't pay attention to ratings then complain and then try to ruin it for everyone by demanding that it gets rid of the mature content stuff despite it being aimed at mature audiences*Insert joke about Dovah not being mature here*. Basically, the Marge Simpson crowd is what i'm on about.

Oh and then there's Resident Evil:the Final Chapter. It's not an example. I just want to mention that this is not how to do a movie.

Being an adult and not having to worry about age ratings anymore is pretty great to be honest. But I do wonder how much age ratings make a certain thing alluring to kids because it's forbidden, like "Oh Family Guy, that's that grown up show kids aren't meant to watch" so then they watch it. When the real reason they shouldn't watch Family Guy is the reason nobody should, it's terrible.

How could you say that? Did you see Ruby Rose's death in that film?

I think I said I wanted The League of Extraordinary Nick Cages last year but now I want The League of Extraordinary Arnolds.

There is only one Ruby Rose and she does not share power. Or cookies. She probably does share power but where was I going with this? Yeah, i've discovered RWBY and yeah, tis awesome.

I....kinda watch Family Guy. What? It's entertaining. Rarely funny and has the best chicken fights. That and well, there's not much worth watching on TV. It is better them Simpsons but that said, my foot is better then the simpsons. M'aiq's skooma fuelled fan fiction about himself is better then the simpsons nowadays.

I'll be in the corner to think about what i've done. *sulks*

I like him in his serious roles, though they're not really serious, more light-hearted and non-action.
Then again, I also like action type, The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson in family films. There's supposed to be a new Journey film out this year with him in it (sequel to Journey to the Centre of the Earth (though that was Brendan Fraser) and Mysterious Island).

I wasn't allowed to watch certain kids movies because of an overly religious family and yet the movies I were allowed to watch scared me. Case in point: ET. Scared the hell out of me, I remember to this day running and screaming to my room. Maybe this is why I play so much XCOM?

You know what I liked was that-one-film with Vin Diesel where he was a baby sitter.

The Pacifier? Yeah, me too. I was going to mention him as another person normally in action films, but I could only think of him in that one family film.

Omg, E.T.! I know he is supposed to be cute, and I can see that, but he still scares the begubbins out of me. Aliens in general freak me out.
His waddle didn't help, nor did the bit where he gets ill and turns white. *shudder*

THANK you. The scene where ET runs out screaming is what made me freak out as a kid. That was definitely the straw that broke the camels back.

By god, Leeroy may be onto something E.T does look a bit like a sectoid. My god, E.T. was a scout and was trying to get the advantage for the aliens! Someone contact the XCOM project!

ET is still working for the aliens. When we are all forced into computing pi, i will tell you that I told you so. Not a single second will pass where I don't bring up the warning about ET.

Looks like old shows are getting a comeback.
Both The Crystal Maze and Blind Date are doing so.

Was about to say "Does it have Richard O'Brien? No? Then it's not Crystal Maze" but hey maybe Richard Ayoade can give the whole thing his own spin.

I wish they'd bring back X-Fire.
From wikipedia:

"The programme was a game show, featuring a strike team consisting of 6 players armed with paintball markers, who attempt to complete challenges in simulated Special Forces-type raids against similarly-armed opponents. In general, the contestants play games of paintball against the show's antagonists in elaborately constructed scenarios.

Teams were inserted and extracted from the missions by a Ford Transit Van. Missions included hazards such as mines and laser tripwires, and puzzles which the teams would need to solve. Missions were also required to be completed within a time limit. The games would take place in simulated military compounds, office buildings, or bunker complexes which were constructed at the facilities of the decommissioned RAF Bentwaters."

There was even one with a crashed Flying Saucer. Totes awesomeness. :D

Apparently they brought back Time Commanders and I missed it, I didn't even know it was on. Time Commanders is a game show where contests tell other people how to play Rome: Total War reenactments of historical battles. Usually really badly.

Oh yes I saw one of those. Very unimpressed by how the simulation handled cavalry charges - they ride up to the enemy and then just stop and switch to melee combat?

Rohan's entry into the Battle of Pelennor Fields would have looked a lot less impressive in Time Commanders, that's for sure.
