Beta's a ghost and that's terrible. Not least of which because he won't get any of Mars's Butterscotch Pie.

Beta being a ghost does remind me though, I really should leave a letter or something with instructions for friends/family on what to do if I die. I don't like the idea that if something happened to me none of you would know about it and it would be like I just stopped showing up one day.

Oh, that's true. Any one of us could die and everyone else would just think they left to get on with their life...

I actually came across this other forums once, where that happened. They found out months later. It's weird.

I'm just here making Undertale references folks. I have no more room in my brain for original thought.

I've thought about that in the past too. (What Kerr said.)

In fact, I remember a time in the past where a member stopped coming on and going on other social media for several months, and when they came back they got shouted at because a few folk were worried that they had died.
(Same when someone went on holiday but didn't come back on til a while after they were due back).

Do you think you would leave your log-in details in the letter, so someone in your family could log in as you (more legit), or would you just tell them to make an account here to report it?

Probably the latter I guess. I mean my username is my surname so it wouldn't be too hard, they don't need to say "xX_Bladez66_Xx" or whatever, they can just say Kerr. Also I'd trust my friends with it way before I'd trust my family.

Yeah, I suppose it probably would be better if people thought you'd just stopped coming on, rather than know that you're dead or something horrible like that.

Not to be nonchalantly dark/cold, but if something were to happen to me, you would probably never know.

Failing that, Unless you know people in real life that are connected to people online that could spread the word, we'd all be in the same boat.

@Aarah: I think that Baloth would end up being the bringer of bad news, should I die. I mean, he'd find out eventually. Though maybe I'd just get my sister to log in on my account and put one last post in the "Welcomes and Goodbyes" thread. With a suitable anime gif and everything.

@Mars (funeral post): I already think of you every time I listen to that album, because Ghost was one of the songs you posted in the Favourite Song thread. So I guess it's fitting.
