I used to play a lot more games than I do now and was always making mental notes when I heard an idea for a screen name. I played the song on a jukebox (I'm a mild Croce fan) and thought why not it'll make a decent s/n. I maybe shoulda chose a different s/n because leroy gets beat up in the song haha.

England loses again. This year, it goes one step further and all the other EU teams beat up the English team, insult them and dumped them outside the studio.

England isn't in the Eurovision. It's the United Kingdom. Woo!

I was late to the party, so I only saw Bulgaria and France.
Bulgaria's was nice.
I have no idea what the UK entry sounds like.

It won't matter. It's pretty much mandatory for the UK to be voted against by pretty much everyone and with our erm.... EU stuff, i think we're pretty much gone from 0.1% to 0000%.

Ah well, it's all good fun.

Aww, watching the recaps, I want to see/hear the other songs now. The guy from Israel is nice. And I missed Romania's yodeling.

Until we get fed up, declare war on everyone and send a single man in a rubber dingy to insult them as the ulimate weapon of destruction!

I didn't see them all but out of what I did see, Romania. Being good in Eurovision is important sure, but being fun and interesting is the most important aspect. That Ukrainian head though, it shoots lights out of its eyes.

Do you think Canada is ever going to become honorary Europeans so they can get involved in this nonsense too? I mean, we already have Israel and Australia.

As someone who has no idea what Eurovision is (it sounds like some sort of singing contest, maybe?) I'm just the tiniest bit confused.

@Beta: No, not really. I don't see what business you have with my manga list, anyway. I mean, it's not like you took my tiny list of 5 anime I wanted to watch and managed to make it into a 50 anime-long monstrosity.

Yes, Eurovision is a song contest where 26 (mostly) European countries compete. Whoever wins it gets to host the next year's. It has a mix of all kinds of music, and usually has some entries dressing up in odd costumes with odd themes.
Portugal won it this year.

The Australian butt was when someone was singing, a guy wearing an Australian flag around his shoulders climbed onto the stage and flashed his bum (security was quick to take him away).

The head was a special effect thing (Kerr posted a pic of it in The S.S. UESP thread, in you're interested).

I swear I've seen that saxophone guy before. But anyway, Eurovision seems like a lot of fun! I'll have to watch out for it next year.

I also watched Portugal's, and I'm not surprised in the least that it won. It's so pretty!
