Honestly, Alchemy can really be an out-of-body experience for some. No joke

At the risk of sounding stupid...I don't get the connection between lost body parts and alchemy. I'm seeing puns, but I don't get it.

@Aarah: It's from an Anime/Manga called Fullmetal Alchemist. The main character Edward Elric is an alchemist who lost an arm and a leg.

Also that's because Alphonse is a beautiful cinnamon roll that's too good for this world.

If modifying a Homestuck quote I found on TV Tropes to include his name doesn't work I'll have to fall back on Plan B and use a Scrubs quote instead. The worst thing is some of those quotes were pretty funny, and I don't want to start reading Homestuck.
